hope that keeps up her bun and creatine have only changed a tiny amount since oct so i am encouraged with that, she was having a few accidents at nite about 4 weeks ago and the vet increases the benazepril a quarter of a tablet at the evening dose it was 2.5 mg every 12 hours before that , could the extra benazepril have contributed to the vomiting ? karly was spilling a little more protien in her urine so the increase was for that .will take her back in 4 weeks for new labs .
I am 75. I take 75 mg of atenolol and 40 mg of benazepril hcl every day. I had an echo stress test (speed increases every two minutes) and at 6 minutes my blood pressure starting falling so the test was stopped and the doctor said sometimes with blood pressure medicine that happens. He said my heart was fine. I had a by-pass 12 years ago. So do I have to worry?
I have MSK and both of my kidneys are FULL of stones. I also always show protein in
my urine! Both my uro and GP have not been really concerned, but a friend a patient pharmacist, told me I need to be on the meds you mentioned to prevent kidney damage.
Both of my doctors however said the only way to really tell if the protein levels are significant is do to a 24 hour urine. So am to do one AFTER my son's wedding when I can afford it.

However, my doctor pulled me off metformin because it sometimes messes with ALT levels, making it difficult to get an accurate picture of how liver enzymes respond to tx. I ate so little during tx, and a lot of it was ice cream. Nevertheless, for some reason - despite all the sugar in ice cream - my A1c was better during tx than it ever was before or after. Now, a year since finishing, I'm back on metformin and my ALT and ASt are wonderfully low (21 and 26 respectively).
The cardio had also given me an rx for 25 mg metroprolol 2x daily and nitrostat. (this on top of my 30mg benazepril). But my resting pulse rate is typically 47-55, so how low would the metro send it? The cardio said try it as an "experiment." He seems to be continuing to interpret my throat tightening as angina. The throat tightening is a sensation of not being able to physically get enough air across my throat.
A small amount of protein showed up in my urine. And she recommended that I get an Ultrasound of my kidneys and abdomen. I didnt have the money to get it done between the last 2 visits. And she still wants it done. She kind of worried me big time that somethine may be fatally wrong with my kidneys. It may be my kidneys causing my HBP. Or is it my HBP causing protein in my urine and kidney problems??? Im worried to death now, at only 24 years old.
I am not physically restricted - I walk 1 mile or more day and do 10 minutes of other light exercises most days. My BP runs under 120/80 most of the time. I understand carvedilol helps prevent stiffening of the heart muscle and can help restore LV function to some degree. How specially, so it do this? What is the biochemical mechanism?
We knew that there was interrater reliability issue with this test, but were shocked to learn that when the doctor reads these, he does so by visually estimating the action of the heart! My husband wants to wait for several months to see the effectiveness of the supplements. Fortunately we will be meeting soon with our GP, who is wonderful about putting everything in perspective.

everybody is different, some can feel the difference the first day, it normally takes 4-6 weeks to be stabilized. also it depends if it's the right dose for you. if you are put on the right dose, i think you shall feel a difference within 1 week.

My Multi Vitamin has 18mg of iron (100%) and 6mcg of B12 (100%). I do not take a B12 supplement but just started on an Iron Supplement at the request of the neurologist.
