I too am breaking out, luckily for me I am an esthetician.. I use all murad products and they work really well for me. I use an exfoliating acne treatment gel as well as a clarifying mask a couple times a week. It really works for me. If you want to try it out you can purchase the acne kit and test it out. It is a lot cheaper than purchasing these two products and that one comes with 4 products. It is a 30 day trial kit.

Fusidic acid and minocycline are both antibiotics which are used for the treatment of acne. Treatment options include topical and oral antibiotics, topical retinoids, hormonal therapy, dermabrasion , phototherapy and laser resurfacing. Normally a combination of treatments is followed and if nothing proves effective then dermabrasion and laser therapy are useful. You can discuss these treatment options with your dermatologist.
Hi, i am currently using an acne treatment called Aknicare - so far it's working well. i've suffered from acne for years and never seem to find anything that works. Can anyone recommend a treatment or has anyone used Aknicare?

Thanks for responding. I want you to know that I have never had adult acne like this. This just started in the last two or three months. Also, I never really had bad acne when I was in puberty.

You are on the money. That is exactly what I have and I don't know what the hell to do about it. I haven't been to a doctor yet but I was thinking about going to a dermatologist here in NYC.
I heard this kind of acne is from hormone levels being off or being elevated.
Sandman I too have noticed that there are no posts that actually say that anything naturally treated their ADHD child successfully like the stimulants do.

Today I gave my boy green tea this morn--he is not on adderal as its a winter school break here in Germany. Personally I have always used caffiene to help me focus and I think it may benefit my boy as well.
Recently I went to a new dermatologist who diagnosed me with Acne Inversa, however, he stated it was curable and prescribed me Accutane. Upon further reading about Acne Inversa, I found out that not only was Acne Inversa incurable, but also very difficult to treat. Recently the disease has seemingly spread past my buttocks area onto the back of my thighs and my waistband area.
1) What is the current and most effective treatment for Acne Inversa?
hey I have heard that antibiotics are not that good in treating acne, because the bacteria develop resistance to antibiotics over time! They sorta get used to the medication and come back stronger or mutated. Sometimes you might even have to change the type of antibiotic. I have never used antibiotics of any kind but i would only take it if absolutely necessary!

Hi. Diet has not been proven to be linked to acne. However it has been observed that many acne sufferers are deficient in zinc so a supplement may be indicated. Be patient with the topical treatment it will take at least 8 weeks to see results.
If you are female ask your doctor about an anti-androgen contraceptive pill like Diane35 which provides birth control and clears acne.
I use oxy 10% benzoyl peroxide spot treatment. It works on me.
the only thing that works is desonide lotion. I am so sad to find out that using this long term has bad side effects.

Is there anything I can do in combination with the desonide?
I read on about.com that using a corticosteroid should only be used to reduced the redness and then use dandruff shampoo for maintenance , but like I said the dandruff shampoo is not working, it is actually making things more red and it slightly burns.

The drug has a much longer effect than anti-bacterial treatments and will often cure acne for good.
Anything that can be used for acne on your face can be used on your back. The good thing about treating your back is not being self conscious about flaking skin as you would be if it was on your face. Make sure you can clean all of your back with ease. The sponges on the brush are nice. There are acne body washes. There are also lotions and ointments for the back as well. If it was me, I would use a cleaner with sialic acid.
I had a few ice pick/box acne scars. It is very dangerous, but the best method for me was 99.9% dichloroacetic acid or 100% tricloroacetic acid! IT WORKED!!!! Instead of going to a medspa where they charge $100 per "hole", I bought the acid online. The chemical company only ships to businesses, so I had then ship to my husbands work. It's dangerous because if the acid goes outside of the area or if you leave it on too long it may scar.
It matters. Don't take acne medicines because they contain stuff that can be harmful to your baby; do some research into if there are any that are ok. Try to control it with soap and water for now, but you might just have to accept it. Acne due to hormones is a normal part of pregnancy.
I am in similar situation except my acne started when I turned 30 and have not yet found a treatment or regimen that works. It's just been 3 years since and I've been to two dermatologists already. I just get frustrated cuz nothing seems to work. Spironolactone helped and another sulfa containing antibiotic when taken with Prednisone.
