Avatar n tn Take a look at my pictures to see how effective microdermabrasion and laser treatment can be at treating post-acne scars. You must wait 6 months after finishing Accutane treatment before having such procedures done because of the increased risk of scarring already fragilised skin. Oral retinoids can cause facial redness and it has only been 3 months since you finished Accutane. Use a good skincare regime for facial redness such as Clinique's Redness Solutions or Rosaliac by La Roche-Posay.

Avatar n tn I found two articles in the medical literature about electrothermolysis, just uncontrolled pilot studies, but neither referred to acne treatment--one was about treating facial seborrhea, the other was about hair removal. So basically, I don't know. There are other acne treatments you might want to consider, such as laser treatments to minimize oil glands, They are safe and have shown modest effectiveness, though it's not always long lasting.

(Most of my reading online was from relatively dated material) I have been taking Accutane for approximately one month and have so far not seen any favorable results. I have also read that Accutane does little for Acne Inversa. Is there truth to this? 2) I have read that Carbon Dioxide Laser Ablation may be just as effective as skin grafts, however, it was an emerging treatment.
Avatar f tn t cystic, but a bit more problematic than mild acne. Also, a sulfa allergy limits that option for treatment. Current regimen includes Azelex (for redness and inflammation) and Tretinoin. I'm curious if there is an effective treatment that takes the fibromyalgia into consideration.
