Isn't tetracycline dangerous during pregnancy???

I want to know the reason why did I got acne during my pregnancy, does it affects on my pregnancy?

So with my 2nd pregnancy which turned out in m/c I had a ton of acne/pimples! It was really bad!!! My DH and I have been BDing this last week and hoping to get preggers this month. I noticed after ovulating that I'm getting really bad acne/pimples again!! Ugh!! I don't want to get my hopes up and I know it's way too early to know anything (to test) but does anyone know if this is just due to hormones or do you think there's a chance that I could be preggers again?

Every pregnancy is different so it could be just "pregnancy acne". But drom my personnel experience, with both of my daughters, I got acne really bad. Nothing worked to get rid of it or lighten it. But with my son, my face stayed pretty normal. So, if you don't know what you're havin... it could be a girl. :) just be patient. Boy or girl, you got it and itll go away after you give birth.

Has anyone else had like really severe acne during their pregnancy? And if so, what did you do to help it? It seems like I've tried everything. Both of my entire shoulders are breaking out. It's really bad and seems like nothing I do is working.

I am the same way, same problem areas. I've heard other ladies say Proactiv is not safe. I know it works wonders and I would be so happy if I could use it. I'm just going to the store and going to look through all the acne solutions and whichever doesn't have the Salicylic Acid I'm going to buy it up. My problem is I don't know what other ingredients I'm supposed to watch out for. Guess I'm going to have to google... Good luck!

this may be a dumb question so please dont anyone get angry at me for asking but can u get laser tx done during pregnancy?i am supposed to go for a laser tx on wed for acne and have recently found out i am about 7 weeks along.my doc told me it was safe while trying to conceive so i am assuming it would still be safe- he says it is just a light pulse but how do u guys feel about this???

Dark spots and acne are super common during pregnancy! Just use a gentle facewash and moisturizer and it'll clear up in no time!

Can anyone PLEASE recommend acne products that are safe to use during pregnancy. I had mild acne prior to becoming pregnant but it has esculated to an uncontrollable level now. PLEASE HELP.

Hi Mary Lee I have the same problem too. During my first trimester I broke out so bad and it left a lot of scars in my face. My acne during the first trimester was huge and painful.. it did looks like a cystic acne. I was using clearasil, benzoyl peroxide cream 5% or 10% (i used 10%) and erythromycin pads all approved by my MD. I used them twice a day. Benzoyl peroxide makes your skin really dry. Use moisture but not too heavy because that can cause your pores to clog.

Is or did your face break out due to hormones during pregnancy? Did you do anything different to combat it?

Starting a year ago i started to get acne. I know thats normal, but alnog with the acne, my face began to burn like a sun burn. now, a year later, not a moment goes by when my face does not burn. Although it burns and is red all the time, certian triggers make it worse. laughing, eating watching tv, heat, meeting new people. Sometimes it will just burn for no reason. i have gone to numerous doctors and dermatologists but no on knows whats wrong. alnog with this, my acne just keeps getting worse.

I have read a lot of conflicting information. I currently have Proactiv Solution, which is benzoyl peroxide. Some things I read say that i okay, some things say to use nothing at all.

Has anyone had a bad breakout of acne during pregnancy im 8 weeks and its terrible i feel amess. If yes do you know anything i can use to help ;) thank you.
