Avatar n tn Hi, How are you? I would suggest you to try magnesium supplements. Magnesium is shown to be very effective in preventing migraine attacks. The other option is biofeedback therapy. Also have you been able to identify a trigger for your attacks? The best treatment for migraine is identification and avoidance of trigger. Hope this helps!
Avatar m tn For acne, I was prescribe 6 months of accutane - which did wonders for my facial/body acne. However, in the last couple of years I have struggled with controlling back acne. For sweating, when I was 20 I received botox injections in my forhead and armpits - which worked well. Not amazingly, but helped for sure. I had been getting injections every 6 months.

Avatar f tn I believe abrasion on my skin causes acne breakouts. Ever since using back scrubbers, acne appeared and left acne scars after disappearing. I totally lost my confidence in dressing up for summer and I cant go shirtless, I'm forced to wear a shirt when I go swimming and its bothersome. My self-esteem has hit rock bottom ever since these deep scars appeared. I never knew skin could do that.
Avatar n tn every time i use a cream for the acne, my skin burns, and if i let of with the treatment, my acne gets worse. Please if you have anything thing that may help contact me.
Avatar n tn t say what you have already tried but the standard treatment for body acne is a course of oral antibiotics like Oxytetracycline 250mg twice daily and a topical retinoid gel such as Retin-a. It would be unusual to get acne on your arms, this is more likely to be keratosis pilaris rubra. However, Retin-a is also effective for this condition.
Avatar f tn I put it in a spray bottle to spray all over my body and scalp. I buy 5 lires and store in a dark place. I then rub and lather Tetmosol soap over the HOCL to dry on my skin. I use Vicks Vaporub for raised areas. It seems to be working well. I am very light skinned and 70 yrs old. I repeat this 3 times a day.
988694 tn?1332359479 Every form including transdermal through my body skin causes the acne. I noticed, however, that it makes my face oily and seems to feed the acne bacteria. I read that some people put Milk of Magnesia (original) on their face like a mask. Cleanse-rinse then the Milk o Mag on the face. Can wait for a while till it dries and rinse off. I do it every 3-4 hours. It helps my headaches somewhat and it does not make my acne worse - maybe better since it dries out the skin. We should keep in touch.
Avatar n tn Hi. What is your son's diagnosis? If he has acne or rosacea a course of oral antibiotics from his doctor may be effective. Clinique have lauched a new range of products called Redness Solutions. Using their cleanser and moisturiser will reduce visable redness of the face. I also recommend Eucerin's Redness Relief cleanser and moisturiser, which is a bit less expensive.
Avatar f tn Since i got pregnant i got acne all over my body but its worse on my face. I nvr wanted to use anything for it fearing my skin wud absorb the chems and harm my baby. It's annoying tho..should i treat it?
Avatar n tn Take a look at my pictures to see how effective microdermabrasion and laser treatment can be at treating post-acne scars. You must wait 6 months after finishing Accutane treatment before having such procedures done because of the increased risk of scarring already fragilised skin. Oral retinoids can cause facial redness and it has only been 3 months since you finished Accutane. Use a good skincare regime for facial redness such as Clinique's Redness Solutions or Rosaliac by La Roche-Posay.
Avatar f tn has been able to give me a good diagnoses or treatment. One Dr. said scalp acne which seems possible and he gave me an antibiotic for acne which actually worked great only my scalp got reallys dry. Ask your doctor to try you on Minocycline to see if maybe you have bacteria in your skin. I do get to go see another Dr. in a few weeks.....wish me luck!
Avatar n tn This all started with a good old fashioned case of acne on the inner hip back in January...I live in an exceptionally cold winter climate (temps of 20 to 30 below F are not uncommon) and those first few weeks trying to find clothing that was soft enough to not irritate the acne was a challenge to say the least. Initially I thought it was jock itch and probably put way too much Lamisil (spray + cream) on the area, including the groin fold.
Avatar f tn There is a company sale this kind of diluted nasal spray solutions, but you can easily open the bottle and mix it with water yourself. Go slow if you have to, but remember, this does not cure your allergy, only help your nasal spray addiction.
Avatar f tn Try acne solutions by clinique. Its maybe $80 for the system. Ive used it and my 9 yr old uses it daily. Its none allergenic and it was developed by dermatologists.
Avatar n tn Back and shoulder acne are quite difficult to treat compared to acne on other parts of the body. Thoroughly wash your body everyday, especially the back and shoulder part using a back brush and frequently change your bed sheet, as it is conducive for bacterial growth. Engage in a diet that is low in sugar and fat but is rich in vitamins. This prevents acne by preventing the buildup of excess oil on the skin. Also refrain from touching or squeezing your shoulder acne.
Avatar n tn 1) What is the current and most effective treatment for Acne Inversa? (Most of my reading online was from relatively dated material) I have been taking Accutane for approximately one month and have so far not seen any favorable results. I have also read that Accutane does little for Acne Inversa. Is there truth to this? 2) I have read that Carbon Dioxide Laser Ablation may be just as effective as skin grafts, however, it was an emerging treatment.
Avatar n tn Ever since I began my 2nd trimester, I have been experiencing terrible acne, what are some things u mommies/mommies to b have used that actually worked??
Avatar f tn They're venomous, and bites need prompt treatment. “Brown recluse bites usually have a black, necrotic center, which spreads very quickly,” Schifman says. “They're also a lot more painful than your typical mosquito bites." Try putting vinegar in a spray bottle and spray your entire body at night and lysol your entire house or use 99% alcohol to spray your entire house down. Sheets, clothes, everything.
Avatar m tn On Wednesday morning, I went to take a shower at my gym. I noticed an Asian male, around 40 who looked healthy, who was shaving his head with shaving cream and a razor in the common sink area. I chose a shower stall with a divider. The stall divider provides good coverage but it is open at the top and at the bottom. The stalls are packed a bit close. Sometimes, shower neighbors spray each other with their shower water when the water deflects off their bodies.
Avatar m tn I trust her judgement with placing me on both of those medications, but what worries me is that it may be too much of a hormone change for my body. I know that birth control pills increase estrogen levels in the body and that spironolactone is an antiandrogen drug, and naturally the body will replace androgens with estrogen. I'm scared that my already slow metabolism will slow down further with these medications and that I'll gain weight that I worked so hard to lose.
Avatar f tn I'm 19 and have been taking birth control pills (a generic version of Yaz) for several years for acne. It's worked well, and I rarely get breakouts. However, I recently became sexually active and it's sometimes a pain remembering to take them at the same time daily. I've been looking into more longtemr birth control solutions.
