883279 tn?1244102594 Hi, if you would like to use a natural product to help fade acne scarrring or repair sun damaged skin, then look for an oil that has Vitamin E (or even break open a Vitamin E capsule and smear it into the damaged skin). My favourite is Jojoba Oil which is high in Vitamin E and suitable for all skin types.
Avatar f tn Generally good scar treatments are vitamin E, pierce a vitamin E capsule and rub the oil into the scar. Another option which works well for me is Bio Oil. Rub the bio oil into the scar 2 times a day and usually within about 3 months the scar is alot fainter in colour and less red. But, both Vitamin E and Bio oil can only be applied when the scar does not have any areas where the wound is still open.
910870 tn?1243169891 Well to keep form geting them I use a vitamin E lotion with elastin and colligin. It just says Vitamin E accross it no product name. And what works for me to make them less visible is Avon stretchmark lotion. It doesn't smell too great and for some reason they put glitter in it that sticks to everything but it works wonders. Using the vitamin E lotion keeps me from getting many stretch marks at all then I use the Avon stretch mark lotion after having my babies to make them less visible.
Avatar n tn Apply creams containing vitamin E on the scars. If it still persists then you can go in for laser treatment, photodermabrasion or microdermabrasion. Avoid picking, harsh scrubbing, and abrasive treatments unless prescribed by a dermatologist during this period. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your dermatologist.
5609181 tn?1375332372 Has anyone used vitamin E capsules on their skin for stretch marks? I just for a bottle and was just wondering what I should expect, if anything. I've heard oil is better than lotion so I guess we will see!
1157646 tn?1343967128 Thanks for your input, I add vitamin E to my regular skin moisturiser anyway so it does get vitamin E twice a day. Thank you!!
Avatar f tn I have a deep scar on the left side of my forehead and a scar on the right side of my forehead and my right cheek (in which no stitches could be done because the skin was completely ripped off). I have been putting Vitamin E oil on the scars since 2-3 weeks after the accident until now. I have seen much improvement with the Vitamin E oil, however they are still very visible. I heard cocoa butter works great in disapearing scars, but I am concerned to switching to cocoa butter.
Avatar n tn Hi there, I would like to know what are the vitamins can make scars fade and invisible?? I heard that vitamin E will repairs scars and make it fade and will gone forever. Is it true? If yes,how long will it takes to fade a scar?
Avatar f tn Vitamin E oil and vitamin E lotion. I have no new stretch marks and the ones I did have are going away!
Avatar m tn Hello; I have got one coronary DES stent implanted since two month ago ("Endeavor RESOLUTE RX"). I am on clopidogrel, aspirin, atorvastatin, carvedilol, enalapril and pantoprazol. Fearing about scars growing inside the stent's mesh, I have read that some people recommend vitamin E for cosmetic appearance of scars; well, my question is: Could vitamin E be of some help for preventing "in-stent restenosis"? Is it worth trying? Thanks!
Avatar f tn ok, i have bio oil, mederma, vitamin e oil, cocoa butter, and am considering purchasing vitamin e capsules form gnc. which one of these would work best both for my newer scars, and my brown older scars?
Avatar m tn But there is plenty of scar meds for sale over the counter. Have you tried vitamin E cream or oil? Are you also taking vitamin E?
Avatar f tn So my s-i-l bought the Vitamin E liquid capsules that you would take orally as vitamins. she popped them open with a pin and used the liquid oils inside to massage on her scar. I checked out Palmers. They made a coco butter and a stretch mark lotion. It's basically the same ingredients but the stretch mark one also contains Vitamin E, and shea butter. It's smaller in size and costs more so I didn't buy it. Palmers also makes a repair cream or oil.
Avatar f tn Next time you get one, get it cultured right away, and see your doctor about the brown spots. You might try vitamin E on them if they are scars. Vitamin E oil can reduce scars, but make sure it's a scar before treating them.
Avatar n tn Have u tried using pure Vitamin E oil? You can get 100% Vitamin E oil from the chemist in a little bottle for about $5-$10 I think. Or you can buy Vitamin E capsules and use the oil inside them. There's some different schools of thoughts on Vitamin E, but most people believe that it is very good for the skin, and especially good for healing scars. I've used it on big cuts before and it has done a fantastic job healing the wound without leaving a trace.
11103029 tn?1415311091 Coconut oil has lots of vitamin e and is good for "getting rid" of scars and stretch marks (= or I bought vitamin e oil for a scar I had in high school to help lighten it.
Avatar f tn s a great moisturizer and helps a lot with stretch marks. Vitamin e oil and sesame oil work fairly well too, but coconut oil is by far the best. Helps their color fade postpartum also.
Avatar f tn s probably going to take a doctor looking to see if there is anything you can do- there are things like vitamin E oil, aloe vera gel that you can place on the skin to help heal scars- but there is not a guarantee that it will resolve it completely. A doctor has access to other tools to help scaring, if they feel they can assist in resolving it.
Avatar f tn hi DR, thanks very much. most forum says negative about chicken pox scarring but these website has positive response. thank you all. my daugter is using vitamin E cream. also calamine as i heard zinc oxide in calamine is soothing even after lesion are healed. i work in a college where some dr. study one friend who is a dr said she will improve with given time. so to all who have chicken pox there is hope in the end of the tunnel.
Avatar f tn I heard olive oil helps?
Avatar f tn I had my TT on Jan, 12, 2011 and i have been putting vitamin E on oil on it every night and it is remarkable how well it is healing...massage the oil into the scar to break up the scar tissue every night.
Avatar m tn thanks, i've been hearing about vitamin e oil and aloe vera gel. ive never been pregnant but have gotten them from puberty. just want them to blend as much as possible to the point where i feel comfortable wearing certain things ive tried palmers lotion for stretch marks but i dont see much of a difference.
Avatar f tn Stretch marks really depends on the person and their skin type like I have olive complexion and sadly I tried everything from coco butter to vitamin E oil and nothing helped. You maybe lucky and not get them but if you do wear them with pride bc it is a daily reminder of when you carried your sweet Lil one for 9 months.
Avatar n tn Thank you for your comment. IShould I use vitamin E cream or oil and sun block during the summer to provide the protection that she needs? Also would a vitamin supplement help at all?
