Avatar n tn how do i get rid of acne scars of my face im a black male and finding it hard to find the right thing to use
Avatar n tn I also have some scars in my face, like tiny holes because of acne. besides the treatment i´m already in to eliminate them, is there anything else I can do to accelerate the process of removing them?
Avatar f tn Yeah, try Conchar Nacar. It's a latin mask made from oyter shell. Great stuff. Use it like 2x a week. It will also help impurities on your skin. Make sure that you mix it before applying. It's a weird texture and looks like oatmeal when you put it on. But I have always used for a mask. http://www.americarx.com/BrandPages/Concha_Nacar_ProductName_ASC_25_1.
Avatar m tn i am a teenager girl 17years old. i have acne problem and oily skin and acne scars i have tried everything and every treatment nothing happend.so how should i cure my acne and my acne scares and oily skin.
20910642 tn?1627445346 Nothing else worked for me, as a result, scars have already formed. 95% of my scars are located on my cheeks and temples. 99% of the scars are "rolling" scars. I'm currently 25 years old and male, and I've been 1.5 years off Accutane and any oral medication for treating acne. My acne is now under control.
Avatar m tn Hello, Fusidic acid and minocycline are both antibiotics which are used for the treatment of acne. Treatment options include topical and oral antibiotics, topical retinoids, hormonal therapy, dermabrasion , phototherapy and laser resurfacing. Normally a combination of treatments is followed and if nothing proves effective then dermabrasion and laser therapy are useful. You can discuss these treatment options with your dermatologist.
Avatar f tn Hello, Benzoyl peroxide is effective for active acne lesions.Since now you are left only with scars which are a result of scratching, so they are post inflammatory hyperpigmentation scars. The treatment is the same as advised. Hope it helps. Take care and pls do keep me posted on how you are doing or if you have any additional queries. Kind regards.

Avatar f tn I need some ways if anyone knows how, to get rid of scars. Any scars. Like acne scars, strech marks, scab scars, any. Maybe to just make them less noticable. My sister keeps asking, maybe Ill have some answers? Please and Thank you.
Avatar m tn Your not walking around with scars due to acne. Its not even like I squeeze or do anything. Topicals just destroy my skin. I may as well bleech my skin. I have had enough. I have gone to dozen of doctors, they wont prescribe it, its not their face, they don't care so, I will take matters into my own hands. If I get suicidal or act like a crazy person or my hair thins or balds, I will stop immediately. I have to try this.
Avatar m tn For the scars of acne, treatments with acids and chemical peels can be effective but can take a while for the skin to totally revert to its normal color. Microdermabrasion can also be done, but this might require several sessions. Skin resurfacing using lasers is also an option. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided.
Avatar n tn i want to know what effect it would have on my liver.... i also had peels done, but acne is still persisting....n i hv got acne scars also.... can u suggest a treatment for my problem.....
1853129 tn?1319530083 I'm starting to break out a lot of my chin and I haven't always had acne problems until now. Yes, I do admit to picking my pimples and now I'm noticing lots of scarring on my chin! I'm more on the "fair" side and my acne scars are really dark! However I was wondering if there's anything you'd recommend to take care of the scarring? I've heard of bio oil from a friend, but I'd like to know what else there is out there? Any suggestions? Thanks!
Avatar n tn Treatment is either with oral or topical antibiotics (to kill acne-causing bacteria on the skin), topical retinoids (such as Differin or Retin-A), or anti-androgens (female patients only). If standard treatments result in failure or relapse your GP can refer you to a dermatologist for Roaccutane (oral Isotretinoin), the most powerful acne treatment available. What acne medication are you currently using? Retin-A will clear acne and heal the bruise-like scars you describe. Eloise.
Avatar f tn I finally decided that my acne was troublesome enough to see a dermatologist. It isn't just the acne, but mainly the resulting scars that made me decide to seek the help of a professional. I get keloids on most of my body, but not on my face. I do have abnormal/excessive scarring on my face, but I wouldn't compare it to the keloids on my body. The facial scars are generally quite flat, but brightly pigmented (the color of inflamed acne, unfortunately).
Avatar m tn I have many very noticeable acne scars on my face that have been there for years now. My dermatologist told me that after one or two treatments with the v beam that is would correct this but i've gone for two already and to be honest i see almost no difference at all. ive seen pictures on the internet of people much worse than me and i'm wondering why i havnt seen results yet.
Avatar m tn If untreated, acne can cause physical and psychological scars. It should be treated quickly and robustly and not refered to as "just acne". Best Wishes, Eloise.
Avatar n tn It is available as a patch or strip and safely reduces scars. For facial scars like acne, use ScarAway Serum. Very effective, although the patches (often referred to as silicone scar sheets) are most effective so use them when feasible, and serum only when you cannot use the strip in the area.
1157646 tn?1343967128 I have researched the best OTC treatment for scars and found clinical studies that say not only does Vitamin E not help reduce scars, but is NOT recommended by dermatologist for use on scars. Many studies have been done on topical vitaminv E, that showed no improvement in the appearance of scar, and in many, the vitamin e made ascars WORSE than untreated due to irritation and/or contact dermatitis. There are a few clinically proven scar reduction methods. Many involve lasers or injections.
Avatar n tn I never wanted to really speak openly about my acne but after reading Sean and your story i want to warn all future accutane users to realize this is not a 100% quick fix also to realize the side affects of Roacutane (accutane). i have had acne since i was 12 I was put on this medication when i was 14 and am now 23 still with acne yes accutane will problably make your skin look the best it ever has, if you are lucky for a long time.
Avatar n tn Now his doctor has him on topical accutane and another topical application. He is having severe flare ups and when he applies the accutane it burns. He's fed up with this. Any thoughts? i will call his doctor, of course, but am wondering if you have any ideas.
Avatar n tn On the other hand, acne treatment for severe cases usually includes one or more prescription medications.Phototherapy and laser, as well as cosmetic procedures have been used to remove the scars from acne.
