My mom and I researched it and were convinced it was rosacea, but I went to a dermatologist and she said it was acne scars and put me on all of this treatment. But I'm still stuck on the rosacea thing, because I just can't understand how all of these "acne scars" would have popped up overnight and spread around.And I have ZERO pimples on my face, it's just redness and spots. So isn't it pointless to put me on acne medication? I can post pictures if needed.
I have many very noticeable acne scars on my face that have been there for years now. My dermatologist told me that after one or two treatments with the v beam that is would correct this but i've gone for two already and to be honest i see almost no difference at all. ive seen pictures on the internet of people much worse than me and i'm wondering why i havnt seen results yet.

Yeah, try Conchar Nacar. It's a latin mask made from oyter shell. Great stuff. Use it like 2x a week. It will also help impurities on your skin. Make sure that you mix it before applying. It's a weird texture and looks like oatmeal when you put it on. But I have always used for a mask.

Does anyone know about the scarring after-effects of accutane? I've read several reports of scarring left after it's use. I'm sure that scars are to be expected, as with any open wound, but I don't know if these reports are by anyone with abnormalities with healing/scarring. Here is the situation...
I have mild, maybe slightly moderate acne. I get keloids on other parts of my body, but thankfully not my face. I still get abnormal facial scarring though.
As for and my brother were exacly the same so Idk about that and as for my family on my mom side a bunch of my aunts and my mom have scars but my scars are differant colour my moms is her skin colour xept a bit darker mine are like dark redpurpleish colour but maybe because im half white and my mom is a filipina and as for my diet im pretty sure I have a good diet I like never eat anythinb bad
For the scars of acne, treatments with acids and chemical peels can be effective but can take a while for the skin to totally revert to its normal color. Microdermabrasion can also be done, but this might require several sessions. Skin resurfacing using lasers is also an option.

Benzoyl peroxide is effective for active acne lesions.Since now you are left only with scars which are a result of scratching, so they are post inflammatory hyperpigmentation scars.The treatment is the same as advised.

You must wait 6 months after finishing Accutane treatment before having such procedures done because of the increased risk of scarring already fragilised skin.
Oral retinoids can cause facial redness and it has only been 3 months since you finished Accutane.
I finally decided that my acne was troublesome enough to see a dermatologist. It isn't just the acne, but mainly the resulting scars that made me decide to seek the help of a professional. I get keloids on most of my body, but not on my face. I do have abnormal/excessive scarring on my face, but I wouldn't compare it to the keloids on my body. The facial scars are generally quite flat, but brightly pigmented (the color of inflamed acne, unfortunately).
