acne cyst won't go away

I went many years without having it treated, it will eventually go away...but the sac of the cyst remains and can reform at any time. So if you are OK living with that fact, do nothing....if not, see a Dr and have it cut out.

So just this past week I was diagnosed with a 6.7 cm cyst with no septations nodularity or vascularity. They did not specifically state whether it was simple but I am assuming because they didn't say otherwise. Anyway they want to see me again in 2 months to make sure it is going away. The past week or so was really painful, and I was on my period so double whammy. Now the period is gone and the pain is mostly gone but I still feel the pressure. Especially when my bladder is full.

I have had acne red marks, not scars, that just won't go away. I've had them for about 2 years now and have tried products such as Differin & Atralin with no avail. Is there any other solution? Thank you, Doctors!

Ask your parents whether they had the same thing as you when they were younger. Go to your family doctor and ask for a prescription for acne as everyone has unique skin characteristics.

A couple questions actually..first being that I have this reddish black bump on my cheek and it won't go away after over a month. Using topicals never worked for me. My pcp put me on spironolactone (generic Aldactone). The medication is a high blood pressure medication that can be used for adult acne in women. It raises the estrogen, to clear up the acne. It works great for me. I take 50 mg twice a day. The dermatologist wanted to put me on spironolactone before. I refused to take it, because I don't have high blood pressure.

I am now 9 weeks and my acne is awful. Cyst like, hard, painful ones that take weeks to go away! Now I can't use my retinA cream. Anyone else have tips to relieve this?

The symptoms go away once a person is cyst free. The quesiton is whether this is just another cyst that will go away or whether surgery is the only solution that will work. Do you know what type it is?

Hello, I had Oral sex with my husband on a Wednesday then vaginal sex. That day I was a little sore but I didn't think anything of it. By the weekend I had what felt like a yeast infection but I also had little dimples around my genital area. I went to the dr on Monday who said it looked like herpes and prescribed 400mg of acyclovir three times a day and sent a swab in for a culture. The results came in 5 days later as positive for hsv 1. The pain was awful even wroth medication.
