Here is my probelm, since I was 13 years old I've had acne cysts deeply embedded on my nose, which I know you're not supposed to pop, but at that time me nor my family had any idea what acne cycst were. Since then my nose has imflamatory out breaks, turning red or purple, and even look like it's glowing. It also looks swollen a lot. I only have this problem on my nose. My face and body is completely clear.
But after 15-20 days it used to dry and leave a small black bulging scar on the nose.. So I have around 6-7 scars and on the nose.On the tip of the nose are 2 scars which join forming a big cyst kind of a thing.1 is a depression caused because I squeezed the pimple before it came out and that skin got depressed and some are like small bulged up skin..I know I should have consulted a doctor long back but my parents told me that it is natural and will go naturally. .
Hello, It can be a sebaceous cyst or fibrous papule of the nose. It presents as papules which may be solitary and around the nose. My sincere advice would be to get an examination done from a dermatologist to confirm the diagnosis. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps.
There's been a cyst on the end of my nose for about 7 to 8 months now. I've tried many things to remove it, the doctors prescribed me erythromycin for a few months which didn't do anything and then it was flucloxacillin for a month and there was completely no change. It's a round red spot, about 5mm in diameter. From what I can remember, it just appeared on the end of the nose (almost in the center, at the tip). It doesn't hurt when touched, it feels soft.
You may not need to see a dermatologist (skin specialist) your regular doctor should be able to prescribe the pill, and oral or topical antibiotics for acne. Laser treatment can be expensive but can help with active acne and any acne scarring.
a pimple-like (acne cyst) appeared on top of his nose where the biggest open wound had been. It is now January and it is still there. There are also, very tiny pimple-like bumps around the nostrils and around his nose. He is 11 and doesn't have pimples or acne. This problem occurred in conjunction with the "healing" process and it is still there! It is vascular, in other words, if you press on it, it turns white.
Dr., I posted in early December about a recurrent acne like infection on the butt. At that time you suggested it may be a staph infection of sorts. My Dermatologist did a nose swab, and the results came back as psudomonas, and I completed a dosage of Cipro, and used neosporin in the nostrils. One of the bolis has come back however, approximately as big as a fingertip, and is somewhat painful.
I had better days cleaning my face with rubbing alcohol but then I read its bad for your skin that it dries it out I didnt really have any problems though but switched to Johnson's anyways also the bumps are semi red and hurt a little to the touch they are mostly on my cheeks closer to my nose and on my nose none on my forehead or chin. What you popped is called a ACNE CYST. Cysts are large bumps that do not have a head to it. The worst thing you can ever do is pop a cyst. Cysts can take onths to go away, if you pop it it can take longer. The scar you are seeing will take a long time to go away, it will fade over time but you will slightly see the fade. When you get a cyst the best thing to do is ice them.
I have a problem. I do not know whether it is Acne or not. I am 25 year old female. I started having this problem around age 18. I get pimples over my face, like on nose, some one cheeks, many around lips - on a monthly basis. They come and they go. I have started to notice sometimes it is connected to my monthly period. I do not know how to stop this, and also, my skin is starting to scar from so many times pimples appearing then disappearing.
1.) Is there anything I can do to clear up my nose. I've attached pictures if that helps at all. 2.) Will an actual dermatologist be able to tell me anything more? I waited three months for an appointment and didn't find out I wasn't seeing a dermatologist until I got to the office. Is that a routine practice with a dermatology department?
Hi, Acne Vulgaris is the most common form of acne which includes several types of pimples. These acne lesions include blackheads, whiteheads, papules, pustules, nodules and cysts. Whiteheads result when a pore is completely blocked, trapping sebum (oil), bacteria, and dead skin cells, causing a white appearance on the surface. A pustule is similar to a whitehead, but is inflamed, and appears as a red circle with a white or yellow center.
No doubt you are describing milia, or cysts, which are common at all ages, including children. They are not acne whiteheads, although they look like them. No treatment is warranted. They'll probably go away over time. Cause is not known, but is not related to soap, moisturizer, or other products. Best. Dr.
Hello, Without examination, confirmation of a diagnosis is tough but it can be sebaceous cyst. For treatment of sebaceous cysts, surgical excision by traditional wide excision, minimal excision, and punch biopsy excision may be required.Pls discuss these treatment options with a dermatologist. Hope it helps.Take care and pls do keep me posted on how you are doing or in case you have any additional doubts.Kind regards.

I am a 47 year old male. I have had oily skin and acne since I was a teenager although it has been a lot less severe in the past twenty years or so. Except for the the last several years 3-5 years I have been breaking out on and off quite frequently around my mouth, chin and corners of the nose. Usually it starts as a white tipped pimple and then another sometimes right next to the first one, maybe thre or four to maybe six spots total around the mentioned areas.
The problem is, he only has cysts on the nose. The rest of his face is completely clear. Now the derm wants to put him on Accutane. I've looked into this drug and to tell you the truth, I wouldn't be able to sleep nights knowing that I have given this drug to him. I've read all the good and bad about this drug and I'm afraid. Depression, suicide, brain swelling is scaring the hell out of me. I'm really torn. He can't go on like this. His nose is swollen, red and full of cysts.
Hello, It can be cyst or fibrous papule of the nose. Blocked sebaceous glands, swollen hair follicles and excessive testosterone production will cause such cysts. Generally no treatment is required but they become painful then it means they are infected, Then surgical excision may be required. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided.
I had a zit on my nose for four months. There is an area of imflammation, and my dermatologist said this is imflammation left over from the pimple, that will slowly fade. Does this make sense. He told me it was not a raised scar, because it wasn't scar tissue and it had wide open pore. Is it reasonable to believe this inflamation(looks like a bump, bubble) its soft, will fade?
So I had what I thought to be a cyst or nodule pimple right on the bridge of my nose. My doctor professed he had only basic knowledge of them as he was previously an ER doctor, but hesitated to call it a cyst as opposed to a "very deep rooted pimple." He then prescribed me Metrogel. That was two days ago. On the Metrogel the bump has grown soft, and a the pimple has surfaced into a small white bump like a whitehead. The question is what do I do at this point?
The facial products turned my face red and I began to get bad cystic acne on my face, right next to my nose and on the sides of my chin. A year or so later, I used accutane, but only for 3 months or so. The accutane reduced the cysts but made my skin very dry, particularly on my forehead and lips. I stopped using accutane due to the side effects and basically gave up on my skin.
Hello , There was cyst that appeared on my nose about 5 mm diameter,at the middle of the nose 1 year ago. When it was popping out there is lot of pain 2 days before. As usual I had a acne problem that time called Acne vulgaris. Now the acne on my cheeks has been vanished with Herbal products. The cyst on the nose when touched doesn't hurt now and it looks ugly on the face and its not going and does'nt know when it vanishes?.and it is oily everytime. Please help me to remove this cyst on the nose.
So what exaclty is this? A cyst? I've never had cystic acne before, or a cyst. Is this regular post-pimple hyperpigmentation? I've had red spots left behind by zits, but they ALWAYS improve and disappear within a couple of months. And more importantly, they are ALWAYS flat to the touch. This thing has not improved, or changed in size/texture in three months. Is this scar tissue?
I've been suffering acne for some years now. It's only bad around my nose and on it. They get VERY inflamed and look very ugly and large. The first time I was treated with oral antibiotics and topical antibiotics which included topical clindamycin. I had a horrible reaction to the oral antibiotics, and ended up being treated for toxic hepatitis. I only used the topical antibiotic afterwards, after having approval by my general practitioner. Of course, the acne went down, it took months.
Hello, It can be due to cysts, boils, acne or herpes sores. In herpes, Pain, burning, tingling, or itching occurs at the infection site before the sores appear. Then clusters of blisters erupt which break down and scab over. So although it does not look like herpes but still this possibility needs to be ruled out. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided.
