acne cyst on ear

There is a small bump above my ear on the side of my head. I didnt hit my head or anything. I just realized it was there when i touched it and i hurt a little. does anyone have any idea what it might be?

Hi. I have been having cysts around my ears and in my ear lobes for about 9 years now. I usually can wait until they are ready to pop and then drain them by popping them. Some i can pop every day for months with something coming out everyday. I recently had one in my ear lobe that was very painful. I tried to pop it today and i felt it burst, but it bursted inside the skin. It is now very painful. Is it bad what i did? Is it something to worry about since it busted still inside the skin?

about two days ago I developed what I now think is are bites on the side of face, below my sideburns. It looks like acne in a cyst form, but it itches, and now for the past 36 hours my gland near that area (near my ear) has been swollen. Am I having an allergic reaction to something like a spider bite? What can I do?

I got what looks like a cyst on the back of my neck about a year and a half ago and i get what looks like cyst acne on my face and neck and my girlfriend just told me she has a cyst on her armpit it looks like the same thing is this anything serious

I was getting REALLY REALLY bad cyst type of acne when I was having my major ovarian cyst problem. I figured it was my hormones a WEIRDED out! Since I had it removed my cyst type cyst went away. BUT I have a few scars from them, which really stinks! & they HURT SOOOOOO BADDDDDDD! They were GROSS, & mostle on my jaw line & kneck! Ughhhhhh! I have gotten a few small ones while I was on my 2 medicated cycles, but not too bad. Hormones play a BIG role!

If you touch it- it hurts, sleeping on it hurts, touching the ear lobe also hurts. The small bump is hard. It is located right behind my ear lobe. any idea what it is? Should I go see the doctor? I do wear galsses...could that have irritated it? I have had MRSA before, but this is not it. Thanks.

I have a big sore behind my ear on the side of my head about the size of my ear this hole thing at one time was one big sore but appears to have healed and now looks like dried skin, my problem is at the bottom of this big sore is now a gapping hole and a long split where my ear meets my head down in the lobe area it Will not heal it always bleeds and appears as if it's making canyons in my skin and deforming me back there I have had this for several years now can anyone please help me and t

I went to a skin doctor yesterday, who told me it was a cyst, but not acne and because the nature of it (being enlarged and swollen) he put me on an anti-biotic called levaquin, one pill a day/for seven days. Then, he told me if that doesn't work, that I may have to go the emergency room and have it removed. I'm due to get my cobra insurance, so I may seek a second opinion if the levaquin fails to reduce the swelling.

IF it persists for more than a few weeks, then you should get it checked out. It otherwise may go away on its own. It also could be a cyst, which also could go away on its own. IF you feel the lump is getting larger or if it does not resolve, then get it checked out. good luck.

The rash started with 2 bumps on the left side of my face and started spreading down. It looks as if I have cystic acne but I’m sure it’s not acne, I never had acne in my teen years. And this sort of developed after going to Sephora and letting a makeup artist try on a foundation on my face. I had never had this type of issue though? Could it had been the make up I tryed on ? I feel as if it’s getting pretty bad, even my lymph nodes are swollen on the left side under my ear/ neck.

Hi all, I'm a 19 year old male. Relatively healthy. When I got up this morning I noticed that there was some kind of bump on my back in the left shoulder area. It doesn't itch and is not painful, it looks a little raised but flat surface. It's just there and doesn't look like any pimple that I have had. I have this bump on my upper right arm. I've had it for about 4 years. If I squeeze it, a white puss like hard material comes out (somewhat like a pimple). When looking at this "bump", it actually looks like a crater, as there is a pin hole in the middle of it. Any idea what this is?

So a couple of days ago i realized there was this cyst type of pimple on my vaginal area on the skin. In a few days it blew up big & it reminded me of the acne i had on my face. its INSIDE the skin. If i grab my skin i can literally feel this big bump inside. I had an acne spot under my chin that took a while to go down, it was under he skin so I couldn't pop it....anyway it eventually subsided but now I'm left with a tiny lump under the skin where the spot used to be...it's difficult to feel most of the time, I have to stretch my neck to feel it and it not visible on the surface at all. So I've started getting these red bumps which sort of look like acne on my forearms. The bumps appear red and later on it turns into a white head and leaves a scar which is pretty embarrassing. I have a lump in my ear and it hurts when I touch it and other than that nothing goes on and I have one In my cartlidge and on my other ear the upper part of my ear canal I've heard that if I get a sewing needle and pop it and put alcohol it should heel but nothing comes out of it it's just there I haven't gone to a doctor so what should I do it hurts by its self sometimes

Ok so I have been prescribed differin gel for "acne" problems. I recently had a huge one with deep cyst (when i touch it i can feel hardness under the skin)...then it formed a white head and oozed a lot of pus (and some blood) after which it stopped being painful. My question is can I still keep on applying differin gel on top of the acne even though it's "broken" skin? The differin seems to help calm the inflammation pretty quick and dry it out...

I have had lumps below my hairline that turned out to be sebaceous cysts, an infected hair follicle I believe, it's almost like a pimple but deeper and bigger and can hurt a LOT. Do NOT try to squeeze it, you can force th infection, "backwards" When you mention pain going to your ear, the other thing that comes to mind is that there are lymph nodes behind your ear, and lymph nodes get tender and swollen in the area of an infection. You don't say where exactly the lump is...

I have what sounds like that sebaceous cyst on my cheek, I had one surgically removed from my back last year. As it sounds, it doesn't appear to necessary to remove it, but is it ok to cover with a little makeup ? Or will that aggravate it in some way ?

For a little while I may have a red spot on my third knuckle, but then it will go away and one will appear on my pinkie instead. Also, they only appear on my knuckles and finger joints, and never in large numbers. I've attached an image showing my two current red spots. One of them is not visible in the picture. You will need to find out the size of the cyst and if they are simple (fluid filled) or complex (have solid parts). They must be followed closely if they are complex. Most cysts go away on their own. Sometimes, it takes a long time for the pain to go away with cysts. Heat packs or warm baths sometimes help with the pain. You should let your doctor know if you are still having high levels of pain even with medication.

I am a 28 year old male and today I noticed a big red lump forming on my left cheek bone. I can't tell if it's acne related or maybe cyst related. Maybe it's related to hair follicles. I'm just wondering if this should raise some concern. There's only this one lump and the area of redness is about the size of a quarter. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you!

I am now 9 weeks and my acne is awful. Cyst like, hard, painful ones that take weeks to go away! Now I can't use my retinA cream. Anyone else have tips to relieve this?
