Today I brought him to one of those medical spas place where they take care of his acne/cyst by extraction. I couldn't believe that they didn't sterilize SOME of the instruments, specifically the extractor. What if an HIV positive person goes to the same service before him and he was served next? Would the blood from acne extraction mix in anyway and pose a real concern in this case? Thank you in advance,

I do not have bumps like this, however, I do have acne. I believe this started out like a pimple When looking at it, you notice the pin hole, but that's about it. If it weren't for that, I don't think you would notice it unless you rubbed my arm. It isn't raised. You can feel the bump underneath the skin, more like a cyst. It feels like a ball. I do see my doctor regularly for acne along with depression.

I asked her whether they could disappear or not and then she said yes. She gave me toner, vitamin e cream, and sensitive cream for me to apply on my face. After a period of time, I noticed my face haven't improved that much instead the situation even worse. I saw there is a facial promotion so I decided to do the second time.
It appears that there might be periapical granuloma or apical periodotal cyst present during extraction session. If the lesion was not thoroughly curettaged, delayed healing and infection may happen. Systemic administration of appropriate antibiotics is generally effective for dry socket. Going back to your dentist or oral surgeon is advised.
I subsequently had the other tooth pulled monday by my dentist. He said that I have a mass in my jaw, probably a cyst. He said if the extraction does not help I will need to see an oral surgeon to get it removed. Thank you for answering my question. I thought that I was going crazy. he gave me another prescription of clyndamycin in case of infection.
I have an acne cyst on my cheek that has been there for about 2 weeks and its driving me insane...its impossible to cover up with makeup, it hurts, it won't come to a head, and its disfiguring my face! However cystic acne needs to be treated. Cystic acne is the most severe form of acne. Cystic acne affects deeper skin tissue than the more superficial inflammation from common acne. Since they are severe, so systemic medications are usually required. The treatment consists of topical and oral antibiotics, tretinoin, oral contraceptives in females and Intralesional corticosteroid injections. Very severe cases may need excision and drainage.
Its hard to speculate based upon a blue color but a blue filled color may indicate blood filling into a cyst. If its a cyst, they can remove it surgically and it should heal up fine. But I don't know for sure. Generally a cancer is either red/white in color so that wouldn't be at the top of my list in terms of possible problems. It can be due to a small sebaceous cyst. A sebaceous cyst is a closed sac occurring just under the skin which contains a "pasty" or "cheesy" looking substance called keratin. They may occur anywhere on body but scalp, ears, back, face, and upper arm, are common sites for sebaceous cysts.
if i have a bump on my genital area that is flatter and feels like it is under the surface of the skin and it shrinks when i apply acne cream to it, is it possible it is just a pimple or boil?

I went to a skin doctor yesterday, who told me it was a cyst, but not acne and because the nature of it (being enlarged and swollen) he put me on an anti-biotic called levaquin, one pill a day/for seven days. Then, he told me if that doesn't work, that I may have to go the emergency room and have it removed. I'm due to get my cobra insurance, so I may seek a second opinion if the levaquin fails to reduce the swelling.
I have severe cysitc acne that covers my upper back. I went to a dermatologist for this condition beginning at age 12.
During the course of treatment I was perscribed Minocycline, Doxycycline, tetracycline, and sulfa based medications, all resulting in allergic reactions. I was finally placed on Accutane with positive results while taking the drug, however six months after completing treatment, the acne returned again.
isotretinoin also known as Accutane, can be prescribed by a doctor, or contraceptive pills with cyproterone for females with virilization or drospirenone.

I had a wisdom tooth & cyst removed 2 days ago (09/19/12)--left lower side. Outpt surgery under general anesthesia. The wisdom tooth was horizontal next to a cyst---the crown of the wisdom tooth was pushing against the tooth next to it. Not in to much pain, I'm taking clindamycin & oxycodone. Since the extraction, I have only taken 4 pain pills. Of course my face is still swollen, which is to be expected, but my tongue on the left side is still numb.
