Did the swelling happen before or after the cream was applied? Swelling an be caused by a fungus, I would apply the cream as directed and if you don't see an improvement- you can go back for a follow up.

Apply OTC benzoyl peroxide to the face to reduce the oiliness. Apply an antibiotic cream such as erythromycin (erytop) and vitamin A based cream on pimples. Avoid eating oily stuff and Drink 3-4 liters of water a day. Hope this helped and do keep us posted.

thank you so much for responding. i was given this monocyline Hcl 100mg with cream which has this oleanolic acid formula.is this cream for acne scars or acne?or for both?i have been using both tablet and cream for 20 days.i didn't see much of the change in fadeness of scars or maybe it takes time.please let me know what is this cream exactly for.

I am almost 11 weeks and I have had he WORST acne of my life since I found out I was pregnant! I know a lot of acne medications are not to be used durring pregnancy, but I am desperate! Is there something any of you have used safely while pregnant? Any ideas, or anyone with the same problem?

After two years of moderate to severe cystic acne (but a lifetime of mild acne punctuated by spurts of cystic acne), I have noticed two things-While I'm in my late 30's, "hormonal" acne treatments etc. DON'T WORK and powerful anitbiotics work FAST & best. My most recent expereinces: using a sulfa based drug for non-skin infections has almost obliterated cystic acne in 4, yes 4 days!!!!!!

ve read various reviews on using hydrocortisone cream for the face with people stating it thins out your skin and worsens acne symptoms. I feel the Clindamycin is acceptable, but I am wondering if it is safe to use the hydrocortisone cream or if I should substitute it with desonide OR just skip those two ointments altogether? I don't mind using Differin by itself if it comes down to it.

Anyone having issues with acne during pregnancy? I already had acne but now it has tripled. I get pimples out of no where. I ready benzoyl peroxide isn't good to use but that's what I'm using. What products are ladies using?

No cortisone cream is for like itchy irritated skin. It helps sooth and heal it. My I do use apricot scrub for my acne it helps. And put a good lotion on after. If you have acne all over your body you could buy a bar soap that has benzoyl peroxide in it. And wash you body with it. It kind of dries your skin out so you want to make sure you have some good lotion.

If you used an anti-acne cream regularly for some period of time and if this is occurring soon after you stopped using the cream, then it may be that the cream has made your skin very very dry, probably made worse by the cold climate. I was prescribed acne cream (can't remember what it was exactly) from my doctor and I found that if I used it every day, after a week my skin would be extremely dry and sore.

Omg wanna talk about cravings... I am one to know strongly about them.. well.. uh... How does a mac&cheese tuna sandwich sound to you?? It was amazing!!! Then I was craving Oreos & milk.. yumm!! I am now 9 weeks and my acne is awful. Cyst like, hard, painful ones that take weeks to go away! Now I can't use my retinA cream. Anyone else have tips to relieve this?

I was diagnosed with ulcerative proctitis (in December 2007) and have recently be suffering with acne on my face (chin/ mouth area). I have been given Acuatim cream to use twice a day, and have been told that I should take oral antibiotics if the cream doesn`t work. Every acne antibiotic I review on the neet suggests that they can cause coltis (pseudomembranous?), so I am concernd as to what oral medication I can take? Any other colitis sufferers out there taking oral acne treatment?

if i have a bump on my genital area that is flatter and feels like it is under the surface of the skin and it shrinks when i apply acne cream to it, is it possible it is just a pimple or boil?

Thanks for the reply again, Gimel. My face is clear now, it goes out of whack only when T4 dose is raised and they appear in painful cysts. My doctor raised my T4 when my TSH was high. I started with 25mcg, graduated to 50mcg(at which I don't get acne), but anything more 50mcg, I get acne immediately, I didn't connect it at the start, but within a month my face was full of cystic acne. I've got myself tested with all of the tests - My cortisol levels are 12 at 8 AM.

I have discovered a few bumps on my upper lip, about 3 small ones and I have put rubbing alcohol on them shea butter and can't seem to get rid of them.
