The dermatologist prescribed first a clindamycin phosphate topical cream, that did not work. Then he prescribed clidamycin/peroxide cream and a face wash, that only dry my skin and did not help at all. A second dermatologist prescribed some safe antibiotics (keflex 500 mg twice daily) and azaleic acid cream. I start taking this and it finally help with my terrible acne. I have acne in my back, face and chest. Some its really deep and leave marks everywhere.
Another option that I find works quite well (for arm bumps, or whiteheads, blackheads, or acne anywhere on the body including face) is a combination of an alpha-hydroxy cream and benzoyl peroxide cream (2.5%, not the 5%). I consider this like my miracle cream. I somehow stumbled across this combination and it is fantastic. I literally have not had a zit since I started doing this. Benzoyl peroxide is an acne medication that oxidizes the pore so it really cleans out dirt...
neem soap if your skin is oily or acne-prone. Vitamin E cream if it's dry. You might be allergic to your toothpaste. Change brands. Try Jason's. Eat little sugar, more veggies and lean meat. No fried foods.
I've heard that a lot of breastfeeding woman use nipple cream...what kind do you use? Does it actually relieve soreness? Andddd the baby's mouth will be on that area, is it harmful to her?
He seemed to think it was a type of acne and has given me minocycline. If I do have KP or chicken skin is this an effective medication? The bumps are very hard to squeeze and if they are squeezable a very small amount of white stuff comes out. which resembles a fine string.

I first started getting those bumps when I was around 19 & I'm 41 years of age now! I tried everything! You name it & I tried it! Dermatologists, antibiotics, diet change, letting hair grow longer, you name it & I tried it! I had an extremely bad case of it! Diagnosed as AKN! Well I'm finally free of them! I tried so many things that I cannot pin point exactly which treatment resolved my issue but I can share exactly what I do now!
I have a 13 year old girl, she is suffering from acne, some friends adviced me to give her contraceptives pills. is it adviced for to start these pills at this age?
It is working out however, prior to switchjng doses my acne had cleared up GREATLY but since I began the new dose I have had more acne and breakouts. I was wondering if this is a typical side effect of switching doses, if I should switch brands completely or if stress from school etc. is to blame. I am 18.

i was given this monocyline Hcl 100mg with cream which has this oleanolic acid formula.is this cream for acne scars or acne?or for both?i have been using both tablet and cream for 20 days.i didn't see much of the change in fadeness of scars or maybe it takes time.please let me know what is this cream exactly for.
ve read various reviews on using hydrocortisone cream for the face with people stating it thins out your skin and worsens acne symptoms. I feel the Clindamycin is acceptable, but I am wondering if it is safe to use the hydrocortisone cream or if I should substitute it with desonide OR just skip those two ointments altogether? I don't mind using Differin by itself if it comes down to it.
Regarding the medical treatment,it includes various skin creams like hydroquinone, azelaic acid, corticosteroids, tretinoin cream and laser treatment.Apply hydroquinone cream on this scar and it should go away in a few days to months.If it still persists then you can go in for laser treatment, Chemical peeling or microdermabrasion. Avoid picking, harsh scrubbing, and abrasive treatments unless prescribed by a dermatologist during this period.

No cortisone cream is for like itchy irritated skin. It helps sooth and heal it. My I do use apricot scrub for my acne it helps. And put a good lotion on after. If you have acne all over your body you could buy a bar soap that has benzoyl peroxide in it. And wash you body with it. It kind of dries your skin out so you want to make sure you have some good lotion.
If you used an anti-acne cream regularly for some period of time and if this is occurring soon after you stopped using the cream, then it may be that the cream has made your skin very very dry, probably made worse by the cold climate. I was prescribed acne cream (can't remember what it was exactly) from my doctor and I found that if I used it every day, after a week my skin would be extremely dry and sore.
