645390 tn?1338555377 Also, your share of the copay should be based on what your insurance actually pays. It should bethis less amount instead of 50% of the retail price. My insurance paid substantially less than that $3,700 and then if I had to pay a percentage it would be based on that new amount. Please, please do not give up on finding a way to start your therapy. Also, talk to your doctor about this problem. They may have other resources for you or a suggestion of a different drug with a lesser cost.
Avatar f tn However, there is another one, Aciphex, which was about 30 dollars cheaper. I am back on the Prevacid as the Aciphex didn't work as well ( for me...I was on Prevacid for years and only switched because of the cost...65 dollars). You may want to ask about that. Also, I was told my pharmacist that otc prilosic works well too.

798555 tn?1292787551 Do any of you buy Heartburn MD at a retail store or online for a decent price? The product was a miracle for me with NO side effects!
Avatar f tn My husband was originally on Aciphex, but placed on Nexium after our insurance stopped covering aciphex and he was miserable. Aciphex has always worked so much better for him. Finally, after a year of misery he's back on aciphex and so much happier. I hope it works as well for you.
Avatar m tn Percocet does not cost that much. Retail value of 120 pills(months supply) is $38.99 with Target pharmacy. She is not telling you the truth. All pharmacies charge the same no matter what medical insurance you have.
Avatar m tn Which, incidentally, stopped when I stopped taking the aciphex. Shortly after taking the aciphex I started experiencing symptoms of GERD. I still have the GERD to this day - some days its worse than others. I connect a straight line between the taking of aciphex and the development of GERD. Is this a reasonable conclusion? or is there some other more likely explanation?
3104777 tn?1363885649 I'm like you, but fortunately I don't have to start work till around 5/6 months after baby has been born. I plan to breastfeed as long as possible! It's good your looking at electric even though they're more expensive, they're the best for working mums. I'm not so great for money and have been struggling but I managed to find Avent Philips single electric breast pump on amazon.co.uk for only £60 odd! Which is a bargain considering what a good make Avent is.
Avatar n tn I have other miscellaneous diabetic supplies that I am selling too. I am no longer on an insulin pump so I do not need these supplies any more. The asking price for each box is $50.00, these boxes retail for approximately $140.00 each. If the item is shipped, I will charge only the actual shipping charge. Please feel free to call or email me with any questions. Thanks.
Avatar f tn pylori bacteria in the digestive tract. The irony is, if you have ulcers and take Aciphex alone, the Aciphex could make the symptoms worse. Clearly something changed after taking the antibiotics, and now your ally in heartburn control has become your enemy. It might be worth getting back to your physician on this one, since antibiotics can often be a "swinging door", killing some bacteria while making it easier for other bacteria to get through that otherwise wouldn't have.
Avatar f tn To heck with her... I had people try to do that to me at a department store I used to work at and normally I just wouldn't give them the price that they thought that they were going to receive, wasn't my responsibility. People are neurotic a lot of the time, just relax and remember, retail is terrible!

Avatar n tn Since then I am taking Acid suppressants such as Nexium and Aciphex as prescribed by my doctor. I also underwent Endoscopy and Biopsy, Abdominal Ultrasound, X-Ray and Blood test . All the tests came normal except they found H-Pilory infection and I took antibiotics and subsequent Stool test for H-Pilory showed negative. I am still having all the above discomforts which is going on for 5 months. I normally eat very healthy and I am following a strict diet since this problem started.
Avatar n tn Has anyone tried Zegerid? So far I have tried Prevacid, Aciphex, Prilosec,Protonix, and Nexium. Aciphex gave me bad side effects and Nexium made my reflux symptoms worse. Prilosec did absolutely nothing for me. I was successfully treated for H. Pylori in Nov 07. Since then I have been suffering from Water Brash and now heartburn. I don't know where to turn. My GI now wants me to take Zegerid(isn't this med just like Prilosec with sodium?).
Avatar f tn If you still have tags on anything, try returning them for store credit or exchanging them first. But otherwise try selling them online. There are "yard sale" pages all over Facebook, some that are specifically for baby things. Explain the situation and ask 50-70% of retail price and you should get some buyers. Especially if it's all essentially brand new!
Avatar m tn Retail has gone to $49.95, is not on Humana or most formularies , in fact, Humana has turned down my Endo's request to allow it. Since it isn't on the formulary it doesn't apply to my deductible. I now have to switch back to Synthroid.
198506 tn?1251156915 I was diagnosed with silent reflux on 2/6/08 and prescribed Aciphex. The ENT diagnosed the reflux through an endoscopy I think it's called...he threaded a fiber optic camera through my nostril and down my throat. He said my throat was swollen and red and that I had vocal cord nodules. I had no symptoms of GERD and went to the ENT because I had a near constant feeling of throat contriction. A previous Barrium swallow showed no GERD.
Avatar m tn told no I am not fine, one area no concern, other area metaplasia, was I still taking the Aciphex. I have gone back on the Aciphex but am terrified after reading on websites that I did the wrong thing. Endoscopy only done originally because I had still unexplained/diagnosis following three days of diarrhea, cramping, dehydration. On antibiotiic, H pylori ruled out. History of GERD, hiatal hernia. Control symptoms with diet, OTC Gaviscon.
1310633 tn?1430224091 s Medicare program $172 million between 2006 and 2011, about twice as much as the consumer would have paid at the retail level, according to a government watchdog's report released on Monday. The report by the inspector general for the Department of Health and Human Services said Medicare, the government health insurance system for seniors, paid nearly 474,000 claims for vacuum erection systems (VES) totaling about $172.4 million from 2006 to 2011.
Avatar f tn Seven years ago, my treatment (similar to that of asuprpixie) cost about $100,000 -- that was the negotiated price the insurance company got. The first thing you need to do is negotiate with the hospital and doctor(s) to see what their best price is. Point out that it's grossly unfair to make you pay "retail" when the insurance companies get "wholesale." Try to find out what Medicare pays for the procedures she needs, too.
