The pains are unbelieveable but they do nothing compared to the increased heart palpitations that I have suffered over the last 3 months. If I bend over to retrieve something from the floor, I have these palps. If I shower or sneeze, etc. they come. I sit up late at night trying to go to sleep as late as possible to avoid the palps. To little or no avail. My doc keeps saying, ANXIETY! What could I possibly be anxious about in my sleep? I've had all the tests done and my heart is healthy.
I was dx a few months back. Take advair twice a day (was taking singulair too, but it gave me a headache) & take aciphex daily for gerd. the aciphex has helped w/ the coughing some, but i still cough a good bit...sometimes to the point of dizziness. If I laugh, I cough. Any suggestions?
Since then I take Zantac, it does next to nothing even though I take 4 maximum strengths a day, and I pop tums all day, but the heart palpitations have gone away. Not really sure what my next move is going to be. Maybe after 6 months of this I can go back to the protonx for a while.
Which, incidentally, stopped when I stopped taking the aciphex. Shortly after taking the aciphex I started experiencing symptoms of GERD. I still have the GERD to this day - some days its worse than others. I connect a straight line between the taking of aciphex and the development of GERD. Is this a reasonable conclusion? or is there some other more likely explanation?
Hm, stomach pain may be from intense muscular spasm. It could be just from anxiety, but, if you have some of below symptoms, it may be "organic".
Gastric disease goes with belching, burning sensation, heart-burn, dull pain in the miidle upper abdomen, often "spreading" upper, so also felt under the breastbone, it is worse after acidic food, wine, fruit juice, spices. Vomiting is not usual in gastritis or peptic ulcer.
I've had heart palpitations for 10 months, they started right after a hiatus hernia operation. I get them everyday. I get them at different times, while watching tv or just relaxing in bed, doing normal everyday things. I had blood work done and was told I was low on B12 and was told to take 1000 mcg of a supplement daily. While taking it the palpitations got stronger so I stopped taking it and they eased up.
I started noticing heart palpitations when I graduated college. It seems like my palpitations are getting worse and have now flat lined. So I do not sense that the palpitations are getting worse. I visited my doctors about them and they put me on a holter monitor and they didn't have a solution for my heart palpitations. So they decided to put me on beta blocker (Lowest Dose- Half of 25MG), which has helped a lot with my heart palpitations. I can now exercise without any palpitations.
Hi, I'm a 27 year old female, who just recently started having heart palpitations. I've had EKG's and an echo cardiogram, but my cardiologist says it's stress induced. She also told me to avoid caffeine and alcohol, get lots of sleep and drink lots of water. I've been pretty good about all of those things, trying to reduce stress in my life, but I've felt palpitations everyday for the past 3 and a half months, since the day they started.
Heart palpitations are common in pregnancy because of your increased blood volume. It also can be related to amemia..anxiety. .etc.I hope you feel better.
I have what seem to be very strange heart palpitations, a "normal" palpitation would be just a sudden "skipped" beat feeling but for me, sometimes not always, i have what feels like a skipped beat and then my heart rhythm feels "off" or if its fluttering for sometimes up to 5-10 minutes then my heart thumps and everything goes back to normal.
Tell your doctor and you all can decide if you need to see a specialist. I was having the same problem and my doctor told me absolutely no more caffeine and that has helps tramedously. I rarely have problems now.
Hey ladies im 39 weeks pregnant and ive had heart palpitations now for 5 years they ran all the tests and said its normal im also overweight hasanyone have heart palpitations and have had a healthy safe delivery im extremely worried :(
I have had problems in the past with irregular heart palpitations and visited a cardiologist. He did an EKG and Echo and the results were normal. He also checked my thyroid and everything was fine there too. I have read these events could be due to anxiety or stress but I don't really think I am stressed.
What could be some causes for this event to happen? It was extremely scary and I dont understand how my heart rate could go so high when I was just sleeping.
Only a doctor and a record of what your heart is doing can diagnose. The first step is a general physical exam, focused on the heart, and perhaps a EKG. This will not be conclusionary unless you have an "attack" when on the EKG... most of us have to wear a recording heart monitor and wear it long enough to catch the "palps"... if you have the symptoms every day a one day monitor (Halter Monitor) should do the trick.
Anyone else getting bad heart palpitations? They always say its normal but its getting really annoying. I even got sent home from work (Forever21) cuz I started crying. Its just really hard and loud. Makes it hard to sleep. How do you make it better?
I though have always had a strong visible heart. My heart has always been strong and powerful and visible! I am an athletic man'6' tall 210 lbs. I workout do martial arts, am healthy as can be. But my heart beats like a hammer in my chest. I have visible pulsations on my chest and it shakes my whole body. After exercise, you would be able to hear and see it thumping standing next to me. My Dr. says I am healthy as a Tiger and it's just from being athletic.
from last one and a half months my father(age 58) feels a type of heart palpitations ,he describes"suddent contraction and some panic same fear caused by coming down from a roller coaster in his heart"for seconds 1 or 2.it is happening from last 1 months and and 5 to 8 times a day,i took him to a doctor ecg was normal and bp was also normal.doctors said its normal but the strange sensations in his heart are still there .he is addicted to tobacco and caffeine..
I'm 18 weeks and this morning I started having heart palpitations and they have lasted a few hours now. It doesn't feel like anything too serious but it is very uncomfortable.
I get like little heart flutters and it feels like it's racing but it's not. Your blood volume still increase I think 30% through out your pregnancy which makes your blood pressure go up I think... think is the key word. But yeah I get them too!
I'm 22 weeks and I have horrible heart palpitations. It speeds up then skips and it especially happens when I lay down. I kinda start to panic and I have to sit up. Anybody know what I can do for it to stop or lessen up?
Before I got pregnant I had really bad heart palpitations. My doctor said to come off my medication as they don't know if they do anything to an unborn baby. Basically I'm 24 weeks and for the last 20 weeks I haven't had any palpitations but the last 3 days I've had them really badly! I'm currently being treated for a bad uti as well and on antibiotics so I don't know if its got anything to do with that. I have midwife this afternoon. Should I mention it?
