WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF PREVACID USE WITH HEP C? SINCE ITS EXPENSIVE IS THERE A GENERIC FORM?

I am taking tagamet otc- Walmart generic brand and for me it is better than the rx ones- But that's just me....

I have been on Aciphex 20 since 2007, with instant results. After changing Health Ins. , I am told by the current insurer that they won't cover Aciphex. I must go thru a step program, starting with Nexium, which my Doctor dosed at 40 mg instead of 20 mg, saying Nexium didn't come in 20 and the 40mg of Nexium is comparable to the 20 mg Aciphex . Questions: (1) Is the above true? (2) Are the side effects the same, and (3) What's the difference between the two.

My GI switched me to Nexium because Aciphex gave me terrible side effects and Protonix made my water brash symptoms ever worse. I have tried Prilosec in the past and it didn't have much of an effect for me. I'm just wondering what else I can do to alleviate my water brash symptoms. It has been on-going for more than three months. I can pretty eat anything I want(coffee, wine and pizza etc,etc) and my symptoms do not get better or worse after I eat.

s had problems with holding her urine. At times it will just come out. She was put on a med. from the Vet. Does anyone know of a generic brand or natural one that will do the same. I can't keep going back paying office visits everytime she needs a new med.

The generic doesn't seem to work as well for a lot of people. My endo also feels the same way, that brand name is good and generic stay away from.

My husband was originally on Aciphex, but placed on Nexium after our insurance stopped covering aciphex and he was miserable. Aciphex has always worked so much better for him. Finally, after a year of misery he's back on aciphex and so much happier. I hope it works as well for you.

Does anyone know if the generic Harvoni is available in India or Thailand yet as I was told that it would be made available in the last quarter of the year, Im no Einstein but this is the last quarter! Does have any info I can glean some hope from? Frustrated at sweats, no energy, difficulty in thinking and conversing, did i mention no energy, being treated like a second class citizen or at least the stigma of having it! Once I beat hep c, it will just be the Parkinsons to deal with.....

I am having to switch to the generic version of Lexapro as it is now available. Insurance wants the change and I am OK with it as the cost will be less. My question is has anyone been on it and can they tell a difference??

So long story short, my father's job doesn't support our health insurance anymore. I currently have a job at a temp agency and they don't provide health insurance either. My prescription for the newest asthma inhaler from my doctor now costs me $184 for one dose. I've taken Foradil and Advair before and they both work, so I started looking up affordable brands online. A website says that they sell about a year's supply of generic Foradil prescription.

Which, incidentally, stopped when I stopped taking the aciphex. Shortly after taking the aciphex I started experiencing symptoms of GERD. I still have the GERD to this day - some days its worse than others. I connect a straight line between the taking of aciphex and the development of GERD. Is this a reasonable conclusion? or is there some other more likely explanation?

he prescribed for me aciphex but i have not taking it yet is not covered and i did my own research i found out and please correct me if im wrong. clarithromycin might help that.

The generic brands that are readily available in india & vietnam are not as readily available in Nigeria where i live and if available at all, the price will be suffocate an average patient. Somebody mentioned that a weekly dose costs about N96000($600/week) and for a total course of 96 weeks, the cumulative cost will be unbearable for many Can i get it cheaper at your end.

the generic in india is absolutely the same as brands, it is just cheap and easy chemicals.....so easy to do.

I use the generic for everything, when available. There is no difference that I can see.

Clearly something changed after taking the antibiotics, and now your ally in heartburn control has become your enemy. It might be worth getting back to your physician on this one, since antibiotics can often be a "swinging door", killing some bacteria while making it easier for other bacteria to get through that otherwise wouldn't have.

If it available to buy from Egypt, India ect ect, for 1500 and less. Why don't more people take advantage of it ? Or is there more to it that I haven't learned?

it is a wrong name for drugs just to make more money for the first drug maker who did the drug generic is the same drug made from another drug maker, this is why the name generic is very wrong, generic sounds like the drug is different but only drug maker is different.

I have been previously diagnosed with GERD and herniated stomach and have been treated with all the stomach meds available--currently being on aciphex which is now not as effective as before (as all other meds did the same after being on them for an extended period). I am once again up to 6 to 10 tums daily in addition to my prescribed aciphex to get some relief.

This drug is still available as a generic, it looks like the price of the drug has increased due to higher cost for Walgreens to purchase it. I'm afraid the other drugs available for BPH will probably be as or more expensive than Doxazosin, but I would check with your local Walgreens pharmacist for more price options.

I have found the generic Lexapro to be very good, and have only heard the usual side effects that all AD's have. But you should mention this to your doctor and see what he says. This all could be from your withdrawal or a combination of both, but you need to let your doctor know what is going on, if just for your peace of mind. Since then I am taking Acid suppressants such as Nexium and Aciphex as prescribed by my doctor. I also underwent Endoscopy and Biopsy, Abdominal Ultrasound, X-Ray and Blood test . All the tests came normal except they found H-Pilory infection and I took antibiotics and subsequent Stool test for H-Pilory showed negative. I am still having all the above discomforts which is going on for 5 months. I normally eat very healthy and I am following a strict diet since this problem started.

This post is 3 years old, but the poster was taking the generic. The color will depend on the generic manufacturer your pharmacy has a deal with and the dosage. And most people report brand name drugs, while a lot more expensive, work better. They certainly have better quality control as they don't have to cut corners because of low profit margins.
