17 year old daughter having stomach issues, just got a positive test for celiac, has bad acne, derm wants to put her on accutane. I am worried about the accutane and her stomach. Not sure celiac is only cause of stomach aches. Also birth control pill used to control acne, then she went off and it came back worse than ever. Now, this is not that big deal however, I have never experienced eye pain. Its not excrutiating pain however, it is discomfortable. I have visine and eye drops from previous outings of infection once. The advice was see a doctor. Obviously, the biggest concern is stroke, heart attack and permanent removal of all things in my life like the ability to walk.
I can say, nothing has helped the way accutane has. I got a hair cut and made the mistake of getting my hair texturized.
I just got off 2 rounds of accutane and I just went to the doctor yesterday. Both my doctor and I believe that Accutane have made my IBS severely worse. m on accutane now (40mg/day; 3rd week) and am suffering the worst gas, tummy rumbles (loud!), and both constipation/ diarrhea. I'm getting scared that I've permanently damaged my intestines/gut and am trying to hear back from other people that have gone through similar things. i wish there was more information readily available/ easily referenced on it. i've found lots of stories from people, but no data. it's very frustrating.

I took Accutane in the fall of 2004 and I experienced severe hair loss. (I'm a girl). My hair came out in handfulls for about 6 months. The large amount of hair that usually falls out after washing or brushing hair was falling out every half an hour if i ran my fingers through my hair. I lost about 60% of my hair. It stopped for a few months and started again for a few months to a lesser degree though. And now, 3.5 years later, it stills falls out more frequently than it should.
this is about my 3rd month i think at 40mg and i have noticed that my head is actualy peeling (please be mature) i am not circumsized so i do have skin over it but the tip of my skin has really puffed out and tured red and i actually have extremly bad pain sometimes like a really bad stinging like were it hurts to walk i have tired mosturizer on my head and the skin over it well i cant see my head anymore because when i pull the skin back to see how its bin i cant because of the pain i cant real
Accutane is known to cause problems in skeletal system of growing teens. I took it around the same age as your son and had severe pain. I called "Rosche" the company that makes Accutane and they said it can stunt growth in teens by closing the epiphyseal plates prematurely. I'm 21 now and my height of 5'7'' hasn't increased since my last cycle of Accutane. I also remember having severe joint and muscle pain after HS tennis practices. - 21 male.
believe me my knee pains are much better. and and so is my back pain. Though its still there and its better. (probably i will start taking it three times as mentioned in the link. btw you can also search aloe vera and joint pains on google. and get to know how it works. )
Secondly I am drinking lots of water. to get this toxin out of my body.
I pray everyone who is suffering from accutane side effects can get their healthy lives back.
If I have gingivitis to the point where my gums bleed and I sometimes can see blood and if shared a drink or smoke with someone who had equally bad gingivitis. Could I get hep c tht way even tho the saliva shared was very small. Please advice I dont have money to get tested. And almost everything i read says no. But theres some tht say its possible.
I am having severe upper back pain just on one side and chest pain. My doctor told me to take 2 Advil every 6 hours and Morphin every six hours. I usually take the Advil and wait an hour or two before taking the Morphin. After I take the Advil the pain is so back I actually cry. Has anyone else had anything like this happen?
Antibiotics and other topical have not worked well enough and the dermatologist is recommending that I go on accutane. I have an app. about it in several weeks. My father had severe acne until he took accutane for 3 months at a high dose without recieving any negative side effects, which cleared up 90 percent of the acne. My mother didnt have acne. I am ready to go on accutane, but the thing is that I do submission wrestling.

3 weeks ago I had my 1st eye infection of my entire life in my right eye so I went to an opthamalogist and he told me to stop taking the accutane for a week (which is what he says caused the infection) and put me on doxyclince hyclate 100mg twice a day and eurithromyocin gel to put on my eyelid that knocked the infection out.
At one point, a few years after I was off it I got stomach ulcers and they said it was from the Accutane. I am a very healthy individual that exercises and eats somewhat healthy. I can contribute all of these problems to Accutane. I did not become sexually active until after I was off the medication so I really don't have a comparison for how enjoyable sex can be.
t constant, i only really feel it after bending over for a while and then when i stand back up and relax is when i feel the pain, and the only time that the back pain is extremely intense is when i lay down. every time i go to bed and i relax my back, for about 10-20 seconds i will feel a lot of lower back pain. but it quickly subsides and i feel nothing. Hopefully that last bit of information will help in the diagnosis of my problem.
I took Accutane for a while and I didn't even get a choice... it was automatic from my dr. you get a script for accutane you also get the script for birth control. The risks are crazy with that medication.
after that i had Shaking in my hand (for 3 month then it removed) and bad concentration (i did not know till now why i did not go dr may i was thinking that is not problem ) after 4 year i did a test for thyroid and the result was positive for hypothyroidism , i want to ask if there is connection between the medication (Isotretinoin and accutane) and hypothyroidism and if it reversible
I wish there was a proper thread for migraine suffers who need prescription pain relief and their experience with accutane( or claravis) / if it makes migraines even worse or more frequent. Not people who have other health concerns or problems with the medication.
I have been taking Claravis 40mg once daily for almost a month. The last 2 weeks or so my migraines have gotten more frequent and less apt to respond to Rizatriptan.
