Accutane and gas

Common Questions and Answers about Accutane and gas

accutane

Hi, all! In a desperate but probably useless search of a reason I have contracted Hepatitis C, I have been doing some pretty heavy research on the internet and trying to go back in my past and see where all of this began. Well, when I was in my early 20's, I was on an acne drug, called "Accutane". I recently found some articles stating that Accutane can cause hepatitis and other liver damage. Has anyone ever heard of this?
i have started accutane 4 days ago u lot a getting me scared but my face it terrible let u know how i get on
He said it wasn't a problem and would resolve when I was done taking the drug. Well, I have been off of Accutane nearly a year, and am still having digestive problems, which I've never had before. I have had PERFECT digestion my whole life until this. I am experiencing "wet" gas and a full, bloated feeling which makes me have to use the bathroom several times a day, no matter how I modify my diet. Furthermore, I am starting to see mucus in my stools.
Hi, I've been on Accutane (40mg) for 8 weeks now and I've only been experiencing the really dry lips and have been breaking out like crazy with pustules on my face for the past two weeks now. In addition, during this past 7th week my joints have been killing me after working out. I typically work out at least 4-5x/wk and don't want to give that up but I feel very achy, and not from a buildup of lactic acid, I should say. Also, beginning that week I've been feeling bloated and gassy...
Hi, i was wondering if trapped gas can cause chest soreness, chest tightness, shortness of breath, stabbing pain which is severe enough to think you are having a serious heart problem. and if the answer is yes, how does one go about solving this trapped gas problem? Thanks.
Could I develop some of these serious side effects, my eczema has been pretty bad since then, lots of bad flare ups all over my body (is this a direct result of taking the accutane)? I also have very bad gas and my symptoms match that of Irratible bowle syndrome, is this a direct result of the accutane? Please help.
I am going to the bathroom in excess of 3 times a day and no one knows what is going on. Other symptoms include major gas, constipation and diarhea. I was recently put on cipro, flagyl and kippered doses of predisone and everything seemed to go away untill I finished the predisone. Now my symptoms are back and they are worse than ever. I don't know what to do. I'm from a small town where the doctors here aren't too good.
Gained at least 10 pounds and the bloating and gas it no fun also. At first I spotted for two weeks the first two months I took Yaz then I had no period at all. Yes it helped my cramps and back aches. But I'll gladly take some advil instead, and I'd rather have a period instead of not fitting into my clothes, I go to the gym 3 times a week, so after reading your info I understand the weighted gain. I also have noticed the anxiety more and more with each month.Good luck girls.
I have chronic heartburn, but not severe, rarely wakes me at night, but have been awakened from aspirating acid and not being able to breath (very scary) thankfully this is very rare (1 or 2 times in the last 3 years). I have had an upper GI series and am awaiting the results about possible hiatal hernia. However, my question is, What is the connection between acid reflux and PVC's. I've asked my doctor this question a couple of times with no details of why.
Im 28 and have suffered from red hands for many years following the completion of a 6 month course of accutane, my hands are cold or warm and sweaty but return to a more normal skin tone when i hold them above shoulder level. My face reddens in at room temp and is worse the warm the day, its fluctuates between oily/acne prone resulting in itchiness and papules and dry skin that peels.
GERD would be expected to agitate that same nervous system, and therefore, indirectly lead to more premature beats. This is of course partially theoretical and partially based on fact. Drugs like tambocor are known to reduce that nervous system activity and do, in fact, result in a lessened amount of premature beats. Interestingly, most EPs will not admit there is a connection, while most everyone knows there is.
- First surgery consisted of laser and cryo with gas bubble in eye - I know this is rather unorthodox for a giant tear but I believe the basis was to try and have the shortest recovery time. - Unfortunately this did not work as when the pressure of the gas started lifting scar tissue started forming thus detaching the retina again via several smaller tears and the initial giant one. - Second surgery consisted of a scleral buckle with silicone oil.

I think everything is over and I clean up. I walk out of the toilet and in about 2 minutes time the stomach cramp and the fainting sensation comes back (I've fainted only once to date from this and was out for about 15-20 minutes). 6. When I get back to the toilet I have a really violent Diarrhoea episode in pure liquid state.
Depression can classically disturb sleep, usually with early morning awakening and unrefreshed sleep. Accutane most likely is not realted to these problems.
Ther has been no fix for that--no OTC or other medicine stops the gas. All of this began when I took accutane those many years ago......
I thank everyone for reading this, and I appreciate any and all feedback and knowledge you may have on the subject. It is most helpful.
After an ERCP(?) and a Cholosystectomy, I have numerous gastrointestinal problems from severe bloating and gas for weeks at a time to painful, irregular bowels movements etc. Fatty foods especially trigger immediate discomfort and diahrea. I was also told, in my early 20's, while under several rounds with Accutane tests that I had Gilbert's Syndrome. Does the fact that I have Gilberts and have had Gallbladder Removal have any impact on my IBS condition?
I started to have stomache pains, diareha, gas, britel finger nails, rough hair. I then went out drinking and the next morning had my first hangover. I threw up lots and it was bad. After that I started to get really bloated. Like a ridiculous amount of bloating. My groin would get really itchy if I would do anything. I started getting ridiculously thirsty when I would wake up and had very bad breath (I never had bad breath before this). My eyes like glue shut when I wake up as well.
It's going on and all day and into the night. My stomach hurts. I am worried about Crohns disease cause I took Accutane before and noticed periods of fatigue randomly. I have missed a lot of work cause of this. What should I do? I can't miss more work next week either or school. I think I should see a clinic doctor at a local urgent care. I have had diarrhea before but never this poignant. It persists and it's so bad it's violent event. I took malox and peptobismal. I am avoiding diary.
Manufacturer's of today's home pregnancy tests claim that they are 99% effective when properly used. The only more accurate tests are blood tests administered by physicians. But when and how to use them, and which are the most accurate are questions that still remain. Are they all the same? What if the test is negative, but "I just have that feeling. . ."?
my diet now consists of asian food (sushi, plain rice and chicken, not the greasy stuff) and subway My latest symptom is my left eye randomly twitches, and its really annoying. I still have gas and constipation, acid reducers are not helping.. My appetite is pretty weak.. but i do manage to eat enough calorie There is one thing that I want to clarify : No food, no symptoms. I can drink straight sugar drinks all day long, no headaches Now its possible the milk allergy is not related..
#1 post nasal dripping in my case it's cause by allergies so it makes me swallow a great amount of mucus throughout the day mucus contains bacteria and when It hits ur stomach it creates gas so it's normal if u feel gassy and bloated after swalloing a good amount of mucus throughout ur day. #2 swalloing air in my case I used to breath thru my mouth because my nose was congested pretty much all day everyday.
I went gluten-free for about 2 weeks a while back and my bloating/gas was almost gone. But I went back to eating gluten to get tested. I will also ask her to check if I have other hormonal imbalances that are causing my acne. I have an appointment for a biopsy the day after. I really hope all goes well. I'll update after my appointments.
the nitric oxide is made from the amino acid L-arginine in your protein supplement stuff... it's not just NO in there.. NO is a gas and doesn't last long. There is other stuff in the protein drink like whey... and stuff that may cause some problems. Also the milk is a definite problem with acne because of all the hormones that were injected into the cows will also come out of the cow and into the milk that you are drinking.
About 3 months ago I had an episode that lasted about 2 weeks in which I was constipated with very painful stomach cramping and pains in the area where my gallbladder is located with gas and bloating as well as stomach spasms (you could actually see my stomach jumping). Went back and forth to the doctor, she did some blood work up and told me it was IBS.
If too much of the gas displaces the oxygen in your lungs, you may have trouble getting it out and so you suffocate. Think of it as drowning in a sea of laughing gas. People who don't use too much may still get in trouble. The combination of poor balance and clouded judgment which occur when you're high leads to all kinds of dangerous accidents. And remember, the more times you repeat a potentially risky activity, the more likely it is that something will go wrong.
I notice around hour 6-8 of the burps I get severe gas pains, bloating, and I cry it is so painful. By hours 10-12 they are gone and don't come back for about another day or two, then reoccur. In the meantime I take 10 mg of OTC pepcid 2X daily to try to prevent them and the heartburn that they come with. My bowel habits change when the burps are back, and I get extremely constipated. Not to be gross but my bowels are often floating and fowl smelling like the sulfur I burped the day before.
) Accutane for instance has a buylated inert ingredient. It causes more harm, and can even cause males and females to become sterile. (My view) The HELLP Syndrome has the look of some type of BUTYL or 2-butoxyethanol in the meds that new moms are given during childbirth or around that time. (Researchers should ask this group, "Do you notice any short term memory loss?" You sound very, very ill Jody, based on the congestion that is showing up. Are you very TIRED?
