accupril

Avatar n tn As a child, I was spoiled through treats and dining out. Being from the south our diners were cooked by the motto that gravy and bacon made everything taste better. What can be done to reverse plague that has build up for 30 something years? Other than exercise and diet, is there any kind of treatment, medication, "super-food" (the fad of the day it seems) that will do the trick? What does one do when exercise causes chest pain and sob?
391561 tn?1227047215 I have been on coreg and accupril for going on 5 months now, and was hoping that my heart would have begun to reshape itself somewhat by now. My particular concern, among many, is the abnormal arrythmias which I believe this LV enlargement is causing. Shouldn't there be some improvement by now? Any insight would be appreciated.
996946 tn?1503249112 My new kitty, Tommy, is thriving, filling out from being so thin, really coming into his own. He is a joy to be around, really a perfect cat in every sense of the word. I do have two concerns. First, he does beg for food. He acts like he would eat anything. I'm strict about only allowing him cat food...but I do buy every flavor of those Friskies Temptations. We give them to him 3-4 times a day. He loves them all but I'm wondering if he's eating them in place of his food.
Avatar f tn I had been getting headaches off and on 2-3 days before everything, and put it off as being my sinuses due to being in the heat. I was put back on Accupril 10mg for the blood pressure, and a month later my bp was stable 120/80 or less, althought my heart rate stayed high usually around 120 even when resting.
255738 tn?1230233362 Subtracting diastole number from systole number is medically referred to as pulse pressure. Normal is 20 and a pulse pressure greater than 60 seems to indicate CAD. Pulse pressure: "The up and down fluctuation of the arterial pressure results from the pulsatile nature of the cardiac output, i.e. the heartbeat. The pulse pressure is determined by the interaction of the stroke volume of the heart, compliance (ability to expand) of the aorta, and the resistance to flow in the arterial tree.
1707870 tn?1307973152 s the treats quota for today, and to put the kibble in her pocket, and she had better make those treats last all day! You will be able to work out how much kibble he's been given, and simply cut that amount out of his meals. That way he will get exactly the same amount of food and no more than he should have. That won't do him any harm at all. But all this treating might make him obsessed with food! Really, people ought to respect owners wishes when it comes to feeding their dogs.
Avatar m tn We have a dog, "Sparky" 4 yr old white shepard yellow lab mix. My wife is very concerned about the treats I give him. It's my fault I know I started something bad but each afternoon I'd give him a few Beggin Strips or Pup-er-oni's I buy from Meijer's food store, I buy the Meiger brand because it's cheaper but my wife is worried about him gettin really sick because of the food recalls from China and I really don't know if these treats are made there and imported.

Avatar n tn I am an RN and my boyfriend has been type I diabetic for 28 years, having had better control for the las 5 years with an insulin pump. His BP is controlled, He's been on Accupril 40mg daily for approx 7 yrs. Hgb A1-c is 7.4. His kidney function test have been ok except for his latest BUN/CREAT ratio result of 29(the lab using 6-25 for norm). Should we be worrying, contacting a renal specialist and is there anything else other than tighter BS control and sodium intake that we can do?
391561 tn?1227047215 Coreg 25 x2, and accupril (ace inhibitor). Latest echo shows no improvement of ejection fraction. Still 24 % after 8 months on meds. Anyone have any opinion as to chances of any improvement from meds at this point? LV has reduced moderately from 6.94. I believe my heart suffered damage from serious auto accident (BFT). I was hoping for signs of an improvement.
Avatar n tn Dr that did heart cath wanted me to start Linsopril ace inhibitor but several years ago I tried accupril and had partial swellin on my face so I was afraid to try another ace inhibitor but now I wonder if I should have. The cardiologist I first saw put me on Atenolol, Isosorbide and nitroquick. I was using between 4 and up to 10 nitros a day with these other meds so he added Ranexa. I worry because I have family history of cancer and I have a fatty liver.

That vent having been released, I'll tell you that (assuming I am ever dx'ed) I would vote for an MS Neuro if there is one within a reasonable distance, but beyond that, I'd think my PCP is more likely to listen to me than a general neuro.

903476 tn?1242237037 I don't know what to do about my Miniature American Eskimo shes addicted to treats and it's not part of her routine. It's not like I have a time or day or use them as a reward after she eats or come back in from outside it's random when shes gets them. She also gets them during training or when we go for a walk. I have no set pattern but she will wake me up in the middle of the night and walk me over to the counter where her treats are kept and whine till she gets one.

Avatar f tn A friend of mine came over on Monday night, and gave my kitty way too many treats without me noticing. He ate all the treats, and then threw them all up a few hours later. Now it seems like he keeps throwing up every 3-4 hours. After the first 1-2 times, there was no food or treats in the vomit, it just seemed like a beige-y clear liquid, with bubbles. It does not smell, and it's only a little bit of it.
746512 tn?1388807580 They come in a resealable foil pouch and contains about a 60 day supply of treats. These treats supposedly reduce the severity of symptoms and the frequency of flare-ups as well. My cats really like the taste of these treats and readily devour them. But as with all new foods and treats, you will want to introduce it very slowly so that they do not get an upset stomach. We wouldn’t want your cat to get diarrhea from a rapid change or introduction to new food.
168348 tn?1379357075 my daughter innocently gave our ShihTzu 2 soft chewy treats (the kind in a pouch that aren't exactly healthy and reserved for really really good behavior LOL) ..... and she engulfed them whole and didn't chew them up. I guess cause she was so excited ??? Anyway, she was gagging but breathing and then finally up they came with a lot more and she was fine. We'll cut them in bite size pieces in the treat jar from now on, but anybody else's dog do this .. how scary.
