I had been getting headaches off and on 2-3 days before everything, and put it off as being my sinuses due to being in the heat. I was put back on Accupril 10mg for the blood pressure, and a month later my bp was stable 120/80 or less, althought my heart rate stayed high usually around 120 even when resting.

My husband saw his PCP last week When the dr took his blood pressure his systolic was 141 over 71. His pulse rate has been 59 to low 60's. What can this indicate? He is taking 1/2 accupril twice per day and a low does of bumex. Thanks for any information.

How high is your blood pressure? If you are going to stay on Azor it would be best to make sure that your heart muscle is healthy.

I am able to find what would be considered normal range, but I cannot find any reference as to how high this would be considered. I am concerned that this would be considered dangerously high. I have been on coreg and accupril for going on 5 months now, and was hoping that my heart would have begun to reshape itself somewhat by now. My particular concern, among many, is the abnormal arrythmias which I believe this LV enlargement is causing. Shouldn't there be some improvement by now?

If you have no prior history of high blood pressure i would think theres a very good chance as these meds do crazy stuff....... I have read here where those with high BP before tx saw it go down while on treatment...... Good luck going forward.

Your bottom number is a little high but not horrible! I am 35w3d and I have had constant high blood pressure since 26 weeks. Its always around 165/94. Since its been constantly high, I see my doctor every thursday for an ultrasound to check the babies heartbeat and fluid, a non-stress test, and a chat with my doctor! I also go in every wednesday to do blood work to check for preeclampsia. This week will be my 4th time doing it.

They help curve my nausea too. Ive never had high blood pressure from too much salt however in my past pregnancies(like in last trimester)if i ate them too often my feet would swell up pretty good. At this point its hard for me to ignore cravings. Sometimes your body craves what you need but just try to eat whatever it is in moderation.

So the last few weeks when I go to the doctor my blood pressure is high (can hit 160/110) so each time he sends me to l&d blood work is normal and the last visit was the only visit without protein in my urine. He said he could induce me on Tuesday which would make me 36+4. At last visit baby was measuring 7.7 lbs. I have also lost my mucus plug. I also have gestational diabetes. Hi... can anyone tell me if high blood pressure can cause shortness of breath? I just had it tested and it's 191/120 with a resting heart rate is 111... I'm asthmatic, but this is not the same.... I was sent to l&d yesterday by my ob because my blood pressure was high it was like 149/94 and i had protine in my urine. They kept me for a few hours and ran tests and took my blood pressure every 15 minuets it finally dropped down to 117/76. They'll most likely put you on bed rest, I had very high blood pressure (avg about 165/95) with my first, so high that if I didn't have a sonogram before my Dr appt she would send me to hospital for a NST (non-stress test) afterwards. I didn't have any symptoms though, no blurred vision, headache, swelling nothing at all. Just take things easy and don't over work your self, and just listen to your body, it will be ok!
