accupril blood pressure

My husband saw his PCP last week When the dr took his blood pressure his systolic was 141 over 71. His pulse rate has been 59 to low 60's. What can this indicate? He is taking 1/2 accupril twice per day and a low does of bumex. Thanks for any information.

I had been getting headaches off and on 2-3 days before everything, and put it off as being my sinuses due to being in the heat. I was put back on Accupril 10mg for the blood pressure, and a month later my bp was stable 120/80 or less, althought my heart rate stayed high usually around 120 even when resting.

How high is your blood pressure? If you are going to stay on Azor it would be best to make sure that your heart muscle is healthy.

I have been on coreg and accupril for going on 5 months now, and was hoping that my heart would have begun to reshape itself somewhat by now. My particular concern, among many, is the abnormal arrythmias which I believe this LV enlargement is causing. Shouldn't there be some improvement by now? Any insight would be appreciated.

Hello and I am very sorry to hear of your condition. Our stories are very similar. I spent 2 wks in hosp and was released on 1-08-08 with diagnosis very very similar to yours. I am 49 yr Male, 6'3, 189lbs, clean coronary arteries, healthy B/P. I can totally relate as to how confused and overwhelmed you must feel. I am also told that I need an ICD, and I am reluctant to have one implanted. Do you have any arrhythmia issues in addition to your Cardiomyopathy?

Everything was good except my blood pressure was high for the first time. They told me not to worry and im not. But just wondering how likely it could be that id get pre eclampsia. The benefits of BP meds could outweigh any risks of high blood pressure. I know that I will have to take BP meds when im pregnant. You should really consult your physician to see if this applies in your case. Aldomet is a BP med that is considered safe in pregnancy. I was on BP meds when I miscarried but had nothing to do with it. BP can be a serious problem in pregnancy and should not be ignored.

ok this time took bp while in potty room. my blood pressure went from being 130/67 to 187/90 just because i went bathroom. any ideals. went back to normal after , there was no pushing just bad cramps, with my IBS.

I had legit pregnancy hypertension and it was that high during birth so that after, I had a blood pressure cuff that took my pressure every 2 hours for 24 hours. (THAT was a pain as it wakes you up as it squeezes your arm). Just talk to your doctor Paige next visit or even call in before if you are worried.

So far I've been good but it could if been high if you were even just a little nervous or even the walk from the waiting room back to the room could of made it go up.
