i also have a lump in the centre of my right arm pit (same arm as the abcess) is this possible for this lump to be my gland? asif it was aything serius it wouldnt come and g would it!

I had this problem last summer before I found out I was expecting. I promise I feel your pain. I had em like 4 different times. 2 under one, 2 under the other. I had to stop shaving so often. & make sure your razor is clean. I also use witch hazel under my arms after I shave before I put on deoderant. If you need relief, use a hot towel to bring it to a head. Then burn tha tip of a safety pin or a needle and stick it in that middle. You will need assistance because it hurts like hell.

I know it may sound really strange but I am in so much pain from recurrent abscesses. The abscesses are usually on my leg or in my arm pit and under my breast. I had one in my rectum area too. I had been to the doctors so many times and put on dicloxicillin which seemed to help at the time, yet they still kept on recurring. i don't know what to do.......

hi, 2 days ago i found a lump under my arm in my arm pit. its stayed the same size, it doesnt hurt but its a little tender if i press it hard, its the size of a malteaser .. and its quite hard? i dont feel ill, and its not a spot or an ingrown hair because its on the border of where i would usually shave my arms.. when i lift my arm up you can see the lump clear as daylight .. it doesnt look red it just looks like my normal colour skin have you got any idea what it could be?

Last time I got only one lump but this time it is two. Also though last time also I got the lump in the same right arm it was in different area of the arm. This time it has come in different area. When taking anti biotic continuously the size is getting little reduced but not great reduction or complete relief. But after stopping anti biotic it become little more prominent. If pressing it is painful. But from outside it is not visible. Only if touching I can feel the two hard small lumps.

If there is no pain, then the swelling could just be due to overuse of arm, blocked gland, sweat dermatitis or even a slow growing abscess. Let your husband wash the area well and apply an ice pack and see if it helps. If swelling persists then consult a doctor. Hope this helps. as much i research about the lump is there very serious lumps too my husband has it in his arm and back but its not painfull its called lipoma . but you said your husband has painfull one so i would tell see the doctor ASAP . hope this answer help you.

It (the mass) started at the bottom of my breast and eventually grew and went under my areola. In the middle of the night my daughter swung her hand and hit my breast. It started to fill with puss over the next day or two. Because the puss was kind of all over, I was put under anesthesia to have a small surgery incision and drainage. He made an incision on the side/edge of my areola. After it closed up and healed you couldn't see the scar, it totally blended in.

t always have to be painful. Is the lump soft and moveable, or hard? The swelling under the right ear may very likely be a lymph node, too...but it doesn't make sense that it would disappear 15 minutes after you have eaten. Have you had either of these things evaluated by a doctor, potentially a specialist like an ENT?

a hot compress or ointment may help. But since it is under your arm I would see a doctor as there are lymph nodes under the arm and if it breaks open it may spread the infection. Best to err on the side of caution here. I wouldn't lance it because it is in the area of the lymph nodes and I would see the doctor first. They can decide whether or not to lance it. I think it is better not to and to get the antibiotics from the doctor and have it go down on its own.
