eventually after 5 wks of every day packing and much giving out the surgeon decided to make the insision bigger so back under general and now i am left with a thumb nail size hole that i am having packed and dressed for the last 2 wks, during this whole 7 wks i am so tired, ill, on/off sweats and with 3 kids and hubby so worrrried our lives have been turned upside down...

The yellow-green color, indicates that a collection of pus has formed under the skin (called an abscess). If this is the case it may require an incision and drainage. Warm soaks in a mixture of 50% warm water and 50% liquid antibacterial soap 3-4 times daily for about 15 minutes. s difficult to assess without looking at the nail. It could be a subungal hematoma, which is merely blood under the nail, or a nail neoplasm (tumor). I would go to the podiatrist to have this checked. Malignant melanoma can appear like a bruised nail. Usuallly bruised nails don't keep getting larger unless you continue to injure it or a vessel under the nail continues to bleed.

This is quite weird..I have a nodule (not big) half under my nipple and half out..I think it will be an abscess soon..have you ever had that? I wonder how it will drain by itself....I mean on what part of the skin.... Thanks!

hi i think i have an abcess under my right arm it comes up and then about a week later it goes down it doesnt come to a head though it is red on the outside. i also have a lump in the centre of my right arm pit (same arm as the abcess) is this possible for this lump to be my gland? asif it was aything serius it wouldnt come and g would it!

hi, i have this small lump looked under my eyebrow. It reminds me of a pimple, it hurts when i touch it and sometimes itches. It comes and goes and is always in the same spot, but never any zit forms. when i was getting my eyebrows waxed a couple of months ago i had it and the lady doing them seemed to have some type of concern about it. i know she is not a doctor but it made me think It was there for a couple weeks then left and now its back again. These arent the first times i have had it.

The tract could be a perianal fistula, if it is oozing fluid. It could also be a perianal abscess, this is usually accompanied by severe pain and fever. If it is an abscess it needs to be drained. Hope this helped and do keep us posted.

If however the cyst was infected or inflamed it can cause an infection and may eventually abscess. Some abscess can become serious and cause septicemia (blood infection). In either case it would be best to have your cat examined by a vet in case it is the infectious type.

about 3 days ago i noticed a slight tingle and redness in my right middle finger, and since then its got worse. the part around my nail has completely swollen and is really red. its sore to touch i can't put pressure on that part of my finger, i have also noticed little red dots around my hand and up that middle finger. it almost looks like a blister, the skin is stretched and shinny, but i literally have no idea what it could be.

i have what looks like a white head or pimple on my gums above my front left tooth. i pushed my nail against it and the top of it cam off leaving a little red blood spot. does anyone know what this is and what causes it.

I had this problem last summer before I found out I was expecting. I promise I feel your pain. I had em like 4 different times. 2 under one, 2 under the other. I had to stop shaving so often. & make sure your razor is clean. I also use witch hazel under my arms after I shave before I put on deoderant. If you need relief, use a hot towel to bring it to a head. Then burn tha tip of a safety pin or a needle and stick it in that middle. You will need assistance because it hurts like hell.

It could be local infection, may not be a lymph node bit a boil or abscess or there may be abscess in breast or even a lump in breast that needs to be investigated. Hope this helps. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!

I have a bruise under my left big toe nail, it covers almost all of the the toe nail area. It doesn't hurt like a bruise normally does if i put pressure on it and it never has. I don't know exactly how long it has been there as I had painted my toenails and due to my back problem it was easier just to top up the varnish than to remove it, so I first noticed it approx. 9 weeks ago. It has never hurt, I have no idea how it happened! I don;t remember banging it or anything.

I did not realize it was actually a vein until I tried to file it down smooth and it bled. I do know I have somewhat of a nail fungus as well because the nail has been peeling for several years. Not think and yellow though. My podiatrist want to remove the nail and biopsy the area. Not sure what to do about this. He says with Lamisil for 90 days, the nail will grow back healthy. Any thoughts?

As you have asked if it could be in ingrowing nail, I presume that it is on the edge of the finger nail. If that is the case, sometimes we get "back friends", little bits of dry skin and when they are pulled off an infection can occur. Sometimes can just happen. You will need an antibiotic cream to apply to that part of the finger. Your doctor will decide whether an antibiotic cream will be OK, or whether you need a course of antibiotics.

I know it may sound really strange but I am in so much pain from recurrent abscesses. The abscesses are usually on my leg or in my arm pit and under my breast. I had one in my rectum area too. I had been to the doctors so many times and put on dicloxicillin which seemed to help at the time, yet they still kept on recurring. i don't know what to do.......

Ok so about 3/4 weeks ago I was chewing food and felt a pain on my tooth/gum area and noticed a white patch/blotch. It was only that time that hurt because the food was rubbing right on the area. After that I forgot about it and went on about my business. Today I remembered and looked in my mouth and saw the same white patch/blotch still there. It doesn't hurt only when I slipped and scraped it with my finger nail. It is soft, and almost pliable like you can move it side to side.

I've been walking around all summer in flip flops and I noticed that one of my big toes has some dark colouring underneath the nail. Its originating in a crown that Ive had for more than 10 years and now its causing me earache and tender/swollen glands under my left jaw. Im in agony and Im popping pills like mad! My dog has a gooey bloody bump under his eye. When pressed with warm wet towel the blood shows on the towel. He scratches it every one in a while and when tried to clean it with a Cotton swab he cries a little. Could it be a stye or a bug bite that got infected?He rarely goes outside though..
