When the front side of the tooth is touched (side nearest my lip) or if I run my fingertip over the top of the tooth, I get a horrible sensation in the tooth. I can only liken it to "fingernails being scratched down a blackboard" type of feeling. When I close my jaws so both sets of teeth are touching, it feels uncomfortable, almost as if a tooth at the back is stopping the teeth above from resting together comfortably.
One of the causes of maxillary sinusitis is a tooth abscess that has leaked the infection into the maxillary sinus. The teeth may be X-rayed to find this. • Ethmoid sinuses. If infection occurs, you may get puffy eyes and pain between them. The sides of your nose may get tender to the touch, your nose may get stuffy, and you won’t be able to smell so well. You may also get a splitting headache, felt most intensely in the forehead. • Sphenoid sinuses.

go to walgreens and get a soap in a green bottle with white writing called Hibicleans -- its over the counter in the first aid section-- this is a great product---- have everyone in your household wash with it, it will kill the staph on your skin-- it doesn't smell bad either. 4. If your lesions don't rupture and drain after about 5-7 days, go back to the doctor and have them lance it, it will fell 100% better once it opens up and drains. 5.
I would call your doctor to let them know but I think over the counter pain medication along with some time should resolve the problem. They might want to put you on antibiotics just in case.

At the time it felt like it was the muscle or tendons, kind of like they had been strained or over used. The pain continued to increase with night time being the worst. Since then the pain is in my shoulder, collar bone, mid arm (between the shoulder and elbow), elbow and wrist. My elbow is now very sore after typing or writing if it's not well supported on a desk. Although it doesn't hurt to the touch.

Thank you all for your kind thoughts and advice. I'm presently giving him an over the counter Lysine gel that my Vet recommended. I've checked his teeth and all are fine. He has no tarter as he's just over a year old. I'll keep track of his progress and hope for the best. If this doesn't help, I'll take him in to have a workup done. (Group Hugs) Thank you all.
Local causes like tooth infections, tooth abscess or periodontal disease. Some medications and fungal infections can cause these symptoms. also, certain skin disorders like phemphigus can affect the mucous membranes and cause ulcers in the mouth. Discuss these options with your consulting doctor. In the meantime take OTC multivitamins rich in riboflavin to counter the mouth ulcers.

I need a gum scaling and cleaning and that tooth will be removed - now the problem - it took all this time to get an appointment with a periodontist (consultation and then appt for cleaning which is today) the infection has been there all this time and he prefers no antibiotics because it interferes with the novocane - said once the cleaning is done and tooth is removed the infection will be gone.
I took it again about a year later for an abscess tooth and got the worse nausea and vomitting ever. Vicodin can stimulate the nausea centers in your brain and taking it with food does not help.
Went to the dentist recently and they found 10 cavities. Three of them REALLY bad and in need of root canals (all on my left side where the neck swelling and head pains/sensations have been) These infections were going into my nerves and jaw even. Well, I had the third root canal yesterday done by one of the best root canal dentists in the Midwest.

Nasal saline irrigations over the counter like Neti pot are very effective. The best diagnosis for this problem is a CT of the sinuses. Surgery is recommended to patients that fail maximal medical treatment. Discuss these options with your consulting doctor. Hope this helped and do keep us posted.
There is just too much chance of overdose. It would be best to take her to the vet or to get something over the counter at a good pet store. A lump anywhere on a hamster is not a good sign since they can get cancer like all other species.
IT'S A SUPPLEMENT OVER THE COUNTER. JUST AN UPDATE ON THIS APPARENTLY COMMON PROBLEM IN MS. MY PAIN WOULD START IN THE ONE LOWER MOLAR AND THEN OVER THE NEXT HOUR OR SO SPREAD TO INCLUDE THE UPPER MOLARS, THE ENTIRE LENGTH OF THE JAW AND THE AREA IN FRONT OF MY EAR. MY FACE WAS STILL TENDER AND ACHEY THIS MORNING.
If it's just the muscle in spasm, it will resolve itself over time. If it's the wisdom tooth it may just rear it ugly head off and on with the same type symptoms until you do something about it Again, you're in a waiting game. If it's the jaw spasm, it will go away unless it's caused by your wisdom tooth. Does that make sense? Let's hope it's just the jaw spasm and a bit more time will take care of it. Fingers crossed here! And lots of good healing vibes!
Her pain management specialest has done all he can, but now he is getting ready to make her comfortable so she can die in less pain. The most bizzar part is that only the exposed part of the tooth and the jaw bone is the trouble, the roots are fine. I am not sure if ANYONE can help but she is willing talk to anyone, (doctor or persons with simular problems) to try to find help.
however, i cannot help thinking that for my teeth to hurt like they do (and to sometimes hurt so much to the touch that I cannot eat) - it must be something wrong with the tooth, and am worried about the possibility that the infection within the tooth has spread across my face and this is why I am experiencing such pain. The pain is occuring everyday, and I am having to take painkillers every day to cope with it.
