by the time i got to the er the doctor told me that my abscess was 1 inch by 3/8 of an inch big. that is pretty large for an abscess. with something like this the longer you put it off the worst it will get. hope you feel better soon.

Is it a lung abscess? An abscess is a collection of pus and a lung abscess can follow a pneumonia. If a person has lung abscess, besides cough she will have other symptoms like high temperature and will be toxic. Asthma can predispose to lung infections as a result of phlegm collections.
