abscess on my breast

s where it all started. The abscess I got on the first spot on my breast lasted for 9 months (I had maybe 4 recurrence) but it healed on its own without taking any antibiotics or creams. After a few weeks, I noticed that I have a growing abscess 1 inch away from the old spot and I have somehow a similar "abscess" forming 5 inches above my vagina (near where the pubic hairs are).

m very scared I had a pain in my right breast one day and I thought it was maybe just where I laid on the couch with my husband and goes sleep on it with my arm against it but it just kept hurting for about a month and then it started to swell three times the other size of my left breast now I had it lanced and now another one popped up I think I'm going to have to have it lanced to cuz it's very big does anybody know what it means when the culture came back is they didn'

What you've read is pretty much "right on" .. any breast abscess is VERY difficult to deal with and can take months and months to cure. As to why they occur is anyone's guess usually. Since you have had complete surgical removal of the area I would think you have a good chance of complete recovery although as you say ... it's a "pain" in more ways than one. You'll just have to keep up the prescribed treatment however difficult it may seem.

Well it dried up and now i have been noticing a hold on my breast about the size of a sharpie pen felt tip..and it drains clear liquid. My concern is if this is normal?..Will the hole close on its own?..

I had an abscess in my right breast 10 years ago and it left a little lump after it healed. Two weeks ago I developed an abscess in the same spot. My GP recommended a week of antibiotics (Augmentin) and it started to drain on its own two days back. I feel a thickened area which hasn't gone down. Should I be worried? The abscess continues to drain slowly and I have covered it with sterilized gauze. Please help.

ve been dealing with this disease for 5 months now I have a hard mass and just noticed a hard small lump on my breast two days ago... Is that an abscess? My skin is turning a little red I wonder if its puss building up :( my incisional wound is still healing after two months sighs this is so frustrating.

Hi, This could be an infected cyst,or maybe an abscess that can occur on the breast like on any other part on the body.These kind of infected lumps are usually treated with antibiotics.But if it keeps coming back,surgical removal of the infected area may be necessary. I don't think you should be worrying too much,because it doesn't sound at all like a breast cancer symptom,but you should see your doctor ASAP so that this painful lump can be adequately treated. Last week I felt a small lump on my bra line under my left breast. It looked like mosquito bite, had no pain or nothing, one week later it became red,hot,tender when I touch it, it got a small head like it’s going to pop out! Today small amount of pus came out and some blood... felt burning after I squeeze it when I seen thE pus and blood What this could be plz? It’s still very warm when I touch it... wot this could be?

I know it may sound really strange but I am in so much pain from recurrent abscesses. The abscesses are usually on my leg or in my arm pit and under my breast. I had one in my rectum area too. I had been to the doctors so many times and put on dicloxicillin which seemed to help at the time, yet they still kept on recurring. i don't know what to do.......

Had one surgery then and no more issues for that breast. However my last my other breast no so lucky. It has been three years and no relief....just got back from Dr. And he did say we could try surgery but from past experiences it caused more issues for me. Do you think know a wound care specialists might be an option.

ve noticed I have a soft rather large lump on my areola. It is tender to the touch and it has changed the shaped of the areola. I had a yeast infection under the breast a few weeks ago, could it be related to this or since it's almost time for my period, could it be a hormonal thing?

I basically concentrated on giving my body nutrients that would improve my immune system. Eating more vegetables, berries, fruits, drinking lots of green tea and eating less processed food and I've included exercising and getting enough rest. So far it has worked!! My body has healed itself! My inflammation has subsided and I have no new abscess for a month now and the ones I had before have healed. I hope my story can help!

after my last child-breast fed all 3 my areola developed several little bumps. i heard this was no concern but i have a lump in my left breast that i have checked and doctors said no concern but on my left areola one of the bumps i can squeeze out white matter about every 3 weeks. about the amount of a good size zit! then it looks normal. it doesnt pop just comes right out with a pinch. does this happen???should i demand a biopsy?

The larger one is still a little weepy... I find small amounts of clear yellowish fluid on my breast bad daily. It also looks a little indented where the abscess used to be. The bruising is now minimal, and I am not in any pain. How are you doing? Unfortunately, I feel another one coming to the surface. Hoping this nightmare ends soon. Take care.

In Nov 2008, I had a swelling below my right breast which was diagnosed as "Abscess". It would ooze out puss with blood and was very painful. I noticed a small pimple like thing on my upper gums last week, it has poped twice but filled back up again like a pimple you would get on your face, it was painfull the first couple of days but is no longer painful.
