I have a pimple/cyst sort of bump on my left knee cap, and it's reddish purple. It dosnt hurt, its about the seize of a large pea. its really annoying and ugly. AND IT WONT POP! i even tried poping it with a pin, and it didn't work. PLEASE HELP.
So, in October - November 2021 I've had bursitis on my right knee for several weeks from prolonged kneeling possibly due to my old job which then turned into an abscess and was in hospital for a week on antibiotics with septic bursitis. The doctors were never sure how I developed it. If I remember correctly my doctor said it was gram positive cocci.
I had both my knees replaced in 1999 & 2001. On my left knee just below the the prostisis is a lump. I am wondering if it is the bone or if it could be the prostetic. I have a lot of pain in both my knees. Also I had them replaced in Washington state. I now live in Missouri but can't find a doctor that will even look at them. they tell me I have to go back to the dr that replaced them. How do I find a dr. to help me out?
A few weeks ago,I found a pimple(or so I thought)on my leg under my knee but when I tried to pop it,it wouldn't pop.I kept trying and soon it went away but 3 days ago,it came back as a huge,quarter-sized painful boil.Then two more zit-things popped up and (as much as I told myself not to) I popped those too...the boil really hurts and I'm scared a spider may have laid eggs in my leg.
I was diagnosed with MS in Feb of 2011. My symptoms started with tingling/numbness in my feet that worked it's way up my legs and into my groin area. It is a judgement call by your doctor on whether to prescribe antibiotics prior to extraction. The extent of the infection is generally how the doctor will decide in addition to any possible medical problems you may have that would warrant it too. Some conditions include poorly controlled diabetes, knee/hip replacement surgery, valvular problems in the heart, etc.
Judging by your description, it is most likely a fistula which is a tract that forms from the abscess of your infected tooth that escapes out to the gums. As long as the fistula in intact, your abscess can drain and slow down the spread of the abscess but if the fistula closes up, the abscess can spread rapidly through your face or neck area.
I would recommend seeing a dentist and getting treatment started.

It stabs me whenever I bend my knee or put my pants on. I feel a very sharp, lingering pain on and around it when I squat or bend my knee too agressively. The formation touches the scar but the scar itself doesn't hurt at all.

3 days ago I competed in a bicycle race (not sure if this is connected to my situation) and a few hours after the event I noticed a small lump on my buttocks quite close to my anus. ve picked up cycling about 40-50 miles per week along with strenuous training and noticed a solo abscess on my labia after a cycle session where I had tight fitting underwear. I have been having problems with a cyst or abscess that was what I am going to call dormant for a long time. I had it checked by a dermatologist he said since it was in the muscle part of my back he would not recommend to have it cut out...Now its inflamed went to a clinic they said to just heat compress it then wet to my PCP who game me SULFA and some pain killers told me also to heat compress it...now it is no longer HOT it was a HOT spot but now it looks PURPLE.
they did a ct and found out that it was an abscess. it was 1 inch by 3/8 inch big. they gave me iv rocephin and drained the abscess. they put me on 250mg of keflex 4 x a day and 300mg of clindamycin 4 x a day for the next 10 days. talked to my dentist this morning and have a follow up appt. with him on weds. then if all goes well i will hopefully get the tooth that is causing all of this pulled next week.

So I have this cat and he only goes outside for a few hours every night. So yesterday we noticed that he has a huge squishy lump on his head. Right on top. It looks exactly like a abscess before being drained. But here's the kicker...there's not sign of trauma on or around the lump. No bites/punctures wounds, no scratch marks..nothing. Just a lump with no signs of how it got there.
