Is it on the bottom of your foot? I get this from time to time and I have shown my doctors pictures whenever I am present in their offices and they said it could just be a circulation issue!

Its funny cuz right when it happens i have to jump out of the bed and just stand on it, it happens majority in the middle of the night lol

The knot could be a hematoma (localized collection of blood) or an abscess or even a ganglion due to injury to a tendon. A ligament or a tendon injury could also be causing pain. Hi there, I was riding a horse and my foot got caught on a panel and the horse kept going. This happened 3 days ago. It's hard to walk. I have swelling and pain on the inner side of my knee. I can bend my knee approx 45°. When I'm sitting or laying down I can straighten my leg but when I'm standing I can't seem to straighten it. My knee cap feels awkward when I try to. When I stand up from sitting i get an excruciating pain and blood rush feeling through my knee.

Hi i was wandering if anyone could tell me if an abscess on the groin area was supposed to disapear completely or not, as i had what i would call an abscess on my right hand side of the groin it was only pea shaped, then grew bigger and started pussing.

My cat clearly has an absess on her paw, I had some leftover antibiotics from last bite she got and it took the swelling down for a few days. Now out of antibiotics and her paw has swelled up again. Hi all, I was up all night with horrid leg pain. The muscles in my right foot and then my right calf started the fun. The worst was by far my left shin muscle. the MRI was done and the results should come back TODAY!!!. The toothpick entered the bottom of the foot but the abscess and pain is on the top, as the puncture wound was that deep. I can hardly wait for the MRI results, and the poor guy is missing basketball on account of all of this.

It means you need more potassium in your diet. If it happens get up and put your foot on the cold floor. Also this sounds weird but pull your bottom lip out and shake it. Sounds crazy but it works.

I get them all the time the more you walk on it the less sore you will do. Also pulling the top of my foot against a wall and leaving forward stretches it for me.

The pain seems to be in my heel only on my right foot though. Feels as if it is bruised. When walking it swells so much that I have to sit down and rest because I can't take the pain in it anymore. Judging by your description, it is most likely a fistula which is a tract that forms from the abscess of your infected tooth that escapes out to the gums. As long as the fistula in intact, your abscess can drain and slow down the spread of the abscess but if the fistula closes up, the abscess can spread rapidly through your face or neck area.
