After a renal ultrasound I was told they found a nodule on my right kidney. My Dr ordered a CAT Scan. They said they found a nodule on the right kidney & a fatty liver. My Dr said not to worry & have another ultrasound in 3 months to see if the nodule is getting bigger & asked me if I wanted a MRI to check on the fatty liver. Shouldn't he know whether that is needed? What are the risks of a fatty liver...is there a treatment or something that should be done?

My husband was told he has a 3 cm mass on his kidney. This was found during a CT scan in his back. Waiting for results of ultrasound. Freaking out!

Mass on the liver can be due to numerous causes like haemangioma, hepatocellular cancer, metastatic cancer, liver cell adenoma, pyogenic abscess, amoebic abscess, cyst, focal nodular hyperplasia, hydatid disease, sarcoidosis, tuberculosis etc.The symptoms can be related to many of these conditions mentioned above. Liver haemangioma is also a common condition which is usually discovered during a test or procedure for other condition. But it is usually asymptomatic.
In Jan 2002 I had an abscess that formed on my left kidney and was in hospital for 9 days for treatment to heal it which left my kidney scarred/damaged (less than 1/3 of it). Ever since then I get occasional severe kidney pain and it makes it hard to function. In addition to this issue I get 6-7 UTIs a year and some are worse than others because I have became very knowledgable on detecting a UTI.
Aside from a kidney stone, flank pain may also be due to other kidney problems such as kidney infection or abscess; spinal arthritis, disk disease or even muscle spasm. Treatment will depend on the underlying cause. For muscle spasm, rest, physical therapy, and exercise may provide relief. However, if it is an infection, antibiotic management may be indicated. If it persists, have this evaluated further for proper management.
Hello, There are many causes of bad odour from the mouth like gum disease, halitosis, tooth decay, abscess etc. Poorly fitting dental appliances, yeast infections of the mouth, and dental caries are few other common causes. Respiratory tract infections such as pneumonia or bronchitis, chronic sinus infections, postnasal drip, diabetes, acid reflux and liver or kidney problems are few other causes of bad breath.
Few other conditions that mimic appendicitis are Meckel's diverticulitis, PID, inflammatory diseases of the right upper abdomen like perforated duodenal ulcer, gall baldder disease, liver abscess etc.Right-sided diverticulitis and kidney diseases also present with similar symptoms.. A physical examination and ultrasound may be necessary for correct diagnosis and management. See a doctor. Treatment will depend on the underlying cause. Best luck and regards!

I was booked into hospital and CT scans were conducted and any signs of kidney stones were ruled out as I have suffered on two occasions with kidney stones over 2 years ago. Also blood work was done and results came back fine. My appetite is normal and sometimes I have the slight runs.
chronic involvement of appendix (many a times ultrasound misses this as the appendix in such cases is hidden behind loops of intestine and typical symptoms of appendicitis are absent), involvement of kidney and inflammation of your intestine.
Pain and discomfort on the lower left side of abdomen can be due to several causes such as Crohn’s disease, diverticulitis, infection in kidney, kidney stones, adhesions (if you had previous abdominal surgery, IBS, constipation, and an abscess in rectus abdominis muscle or psoas muscle. Since you do not have a lump or a tender hot spot, in all probability it is not a muscle. It could also be a periumbilical hernia that has got trapped resulting in small bowel obstruction or mesenteric ischemia.
I ate some expired kidney beans about 1 month ago and I had the worse gas for about 5 days. I didn't have diarrhea but the gas was painful. Whenever I would squeeze my butt it hurt. I thought maybe I had hemoroids so I got some medication and took it for about two weeks. It helped but I still have crazy gas and it feels like I have a ton of bricks in my butt but I have been having soft bowel movements. What is going on?

Also it could be due to referred pain of kidney stones. An ultrasound of the lower abdomen will be able to rule out kidney stones. It could be due to cancer of testis. It could be due to varicocele or spermatocele. An ultrasound of the testicles will diagnose cancer, varicocele and spermatocele. An excruciating pain is often due to testicular torsion and needs surgical intervention ASAP to save the testis.
Transient proteinuria usually requires no special treatment. If your daughter is not having any symptoms suggestive of kidney disease do not worry. Get her retested. Keep me updated. Best luck and regards!
Over the last 13 months I have been admitted into the Hospital on multiple occasions, suffering from Pyelonephritis. I have had 1 abscess drained on my right kidney, which was the size of an apple and full of Ecoli. My main question is how in the world did I end up with Posterior Nutcracker Syndrome AND could my recent Kidney infections have resulted in this renal vein entrapment situation I seem to be suffering from? Thank you in advance for ANY and ALL help you have to offer.

I've had soreness in the shoulderblade and keep pulling a muscle as well over my right kidney area, and a localized pain in the upper right lung area, which I wonder if it's all connected. I take a medication that has given me edema in the ankles for almost 3 years straight now, and I am beginning to fear this may be cardiac asthma which is giving me bronchitis every once in a while.
I was having pn in my back kidney area. I went to the ER b/cz it was severe and moved in about an hour to the ant portion of my hip and then about an hour later moved to my left test. The pn was the worst I have ever felt. The ER doc diagnosed me with epidimys and sent me home with sulfa med. The doc called a few days later and I was still in pain, she suggested that I see my regular dr that day. I went in and he did a phys exam that I could not tolerate and nearly passed out.
Although possible, I am not aware of specific causes where anal masturbation can lead to epididymitis. If there is an abscess, this can cause recurrent infection despite antibiotic treatment. I agree with the imaging tests that you have had thus far. Imaging the prostate with a transrectal ultrasound can be done to exclude a prostatic abscess. These questions can be discussed with your personal urologist. Followup with your personal physician is essential.
well i am pretty self aware and two days ago i noticed a kidney bean shaped soft bump directly behind my left ear. it took less than a day to go from nothing to bean sized. it is soft for the most part, if i feel near the top of it, it feels kinda hard, like a layer under the puss maybe. i can move it a little, definetly feels like it is filled with puss. i have in the past had a bump appear, only to shrink and harden and eventualy i will forget about it, i had one on my upper eyelid.
Hello, The various possibilities which present with such pain in the lower abdomen are diverticulitis, Crohn’s disease, bowel obstruction, ovarian cysts and pelvic inflammatory disease, irritable bowel syndrome , kidney obstruction or pyelonephritis, psoas abscess and volvolus (twisting of the sigmoid part of the large bowel on itself). In your case,it can be due to worsening of IBS.Are you taking any medication for it?
From the top of the hip to the bottom of the ribs and around the back to the spine. could whatever caused my epididymitis have spread to my kidney (virus or bacteria)? I can deal with the groin lump and thigh issues however this flank pain is getting worse. Feels like something is growing inside and anywhere i touch in that area feels like it is bruised. can anyone please comment with thoughts/opinions?
Blood culture Culture of the drainage (fluid) from the infection Skin culture from the infected site Sputum culture Urine culture Treatment Draining the skin sore is often the only treatment needed for a local skin MRSA infection. This can be done at the doctor's office. More serious MRSA infections, especially HA-MRSA infections, are becoming increasingly difficult to treat.
Once again after awhile I felt better until Aug08 and then started with bad headaches which was alarming as I was still on Diamox,I went upstairs as I was felling horrible to have a sleep and woke up a week later in Hospital I had a brain abscess, the Drs didn`t know wether having had Kidney Stones had something to do with it or I was just unlucky and caught a virus.I guess it was just one of them things.
