Avatar f tn Right upper abdominal pain can be due to cholecystitis (inflammation of gall bladder), stones in gall bladder, duodenal ulcer, abscess under the diaphragm, liver problems and abscess or due to duodenal ulcer. Right flank pain is generally due to kidney stones. Gall bladder problems have been ruled out in your case. Abscess should be seriously considered. Lower right abdomen pain is commonly due to appendicitis. The pain, can at times come and go and not give the classic picture.
Avatar f tn Pain in the upper left abdomen can be due to stomach issues (GERD or hiatal hernia), spleen issues, due to an abscess below the left diaphragm, a hematoma (localized collection of blood), an abscess, or a muscle pull. .
Avatar f tn On Aug. 31st my dog was diagnosed with Kidney Failure. Her creatinine was at a 8. As of almost 2 weeks ago it went down to a 2. I have been giving her 6 cc's of fluid subcutaneously. As also Aluminum Hydroxide Gel, USP 5 mL after she eats. Along with PancrePlus as she basically has chronic pancreatitis since 2011 and I can only feed her either boiled chicken & rice or science diet I/D or she starts to tremble in pain.

The other possibility is that the ovarian cyst has got twisted. The third possibility of endometriosis can be considered if you have pain only around your periods. It is difficult to comment beyond this at this stage. Do discuss this with your doctor (urologist) and get yourself examined. Hope this helps.
Avatar f tn Crohn’s disease, diverticulitis, infection in kidney, kidney stones, constipation, ovary involvement in women (PCOS), ectopic pregnancy in women, mesentry (a thin tissue that carries the blood, nerves and lymphatics for the intestine) involvement, and an abscess in rectus abdominis muscle or psoas muscle can all cause lower right abdomen pain. Since you had a kidney stone earlier, this should be looked into.
Avatar f tn A few months ago I started to have pain in my left kidney. It came out of no where. I researched online and was 100% sure I had a kidney infection. I was tight on money so I got Cipro from a friend. On day five of the antibiotic I still felt ill. I went to the ER for same day tests. They said my urine was "contaminated" since I was already on antibiotics. They said to keep taking it and maybe slept wrong. I took it for seven days.
Avatar n tn bladder neoplasm (abnormal growth), urinary tract inection, glomerulonephritis (inflamation in the glomerul part of the kidney), obstructive uropathy, pancreatits, papillary necrosis and cortical necrosis (have no idea what this is), perirenal abscess, polycystic kidney disease, pyelonephritis, renal infraction, renal neoplasm, renal trauma, and renal vein thrombosis. Avatar m tn Crohn’s disease, diverticulitis, infection in kidney, constipation, and an abscess in rectus abdominis muscle or psoas muscle can all cause lower right abdomen pain. An ultrasound or CT scan of abdomen is definitely required. Hope this helps. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!
Avatar f tn I have been to doctors over and over, emergency rooms on several occasions, and have been told I must have an angry kidney. Can a kidney infection really cause this much prolonged pain? I have had them in the past and have never had it bulging out of my back, not during the infection and certainly not for weeks after. What else could it be? I am afraid they are just blaming my diabetes and the kidney infection and failing to look at any other possible causes. Any suggestions?
Avatar f tn Pain and discomfort on the lower left side of abdomen just below and to the left of navel can be due to several causes such as Crohn’s disease, colitis, diverticulitis, infection in kidney, kidney stones, adhesions, polycystic ovary in females, IBS, constipation, and an abscess in rectus abdominis muscle or psoas muscle. Since you do not have a lump or a tender hot spot, in all probability it is not a muscle.
Avatar n tn pyelonephritis, kidney stone or kidney abscess; spinal arthritis; disk disease and even muscle spasm. What tests were done? I would recommend that you drink plenty of fluids and have a regular follow-up with your doctor. Take care and keep us posted.
Avatar f tn I noticed my tailbone hurting, so I thought that maybe I sat for too long. The next day I struggled to sit, the day after that I could barely walk. This is day four now. I did some research, and it all points to a cyst or abscess. I don't have medical coverage, I can't see a doctor. Please view the images on my profile? I'm very sorry for the graphic images. It's hard, swolen and red. I can barely touch it. Please somebody? This is by far the worst pain I've ever experienced.

Avatar m tn Hi everyone, i recently developed pain in my lower abdomen, the soreness is usually on left and right sides on my lower abdomen, no pain in the middle part. I was wondering if anyone have experienced the same thing and what might it be.
Avatar n tn For a couple of months now, I have experienced pain behind the lowest part of my right rib cage; I also feel it in my back at the same area, and occasionally on my side. Sometimes all three areas at the same time. It is most prominent when I take a deep breath, or have been sitting in a stationary position for more than an hour. I thought at first I might have pulled something; but it just won't go away. The level of pain lightens up and worsens for no good reason.

Crohn’s disease, diverticulitis, infection in kidney, kidney stones, constipation, and an abscess in rectus abdominis muscle or psoas muscle can all cause lower right abdomen pain. An ultrasound or CT scan of abdomen is definitely required. I would strongly recommend you to see a gastroenterologist (a specialist who looks after the diseases of our digestive system). It is difficult to comment beyond this at this stage.

923105 tn?1341827649 So after a major course of antibiotics and several scans later, my Urologist warned me that this could turn into Sepsis - and he wanted to admit me immediately (as the abscess is the size of a plum in my Kidney) - I said that I needed to see my own DR first, and what my own DR did was to double the amount of antibiotics that I am on.
