Pain during digital rectal exam and redness and swelling in the area between the anusand the scrotum may signify an increased likelihood of an abscess. A transrectal ultrasound is a good imaging tool for defining a prostatic abscess.

2 days ago, woke up with medium egg size hard lump in scrotum on right side behind testicle, fever. went to hospital yesterday after it was size of XL egg. not ingrunal hernia. they said was abcess from ingrown hair or clogged pore. sliced and drained scrotum. minimal pus removed. antibiotics and percocet prescribed. today, lump is approximately 6 inches long x 2 inches wide x 1 inch thick. scrotum is size of softball. i think they diagnosed me wrong. fever is still at 100.
I have also used an erection ring for about 1 year, not too tight, but a little tight at the time of this occurence. Upon ejaculation, I felt extreme tightness in my scrotum and immediately removed the ring. The next morning, I proceeded to also shave my genital area as I tend to usually do. However, the next day, small clustered bumps appeared (about 10) around the areas I shaved. I also had severe shooting pains in my scrotum that same day into the next, radiating to my right leg.
The scratchy pinching pain in my penis tip went away but I now had a severe heat sensation in my scrotum and on penis tip. Feels like a continuous hot flash that lasts all day long. There were never any signs of blisters or redness on either of us. 15 days since my initial sexual encounter with strange girl and the heat sensation in my groin was so intense that I returned to the ER. Also had intense heat sensation in face, head, hands, and feet.
Hi and thanks for using the forum. You should try some warm soaks to the area- or sitting in a warm bath for a while to see if it helps. Betamethasone is a cortico-steroid cream which can help with the inflammation and the swelling. If you do not see an improvement in a day or so, or if you see that the abscess is getting worse, then you should get it checked out by your doctor. Sometimes, antibiotics are needed to treat the abscess and sometimes they need to be drained. I hope this helps.
5 days after exposure, tingling on underside of right testicle. I have a history of chronic epidydimitis in right testicle but its been a non issue for several months. This tingling was on the outside/skin. 4. Went away the next day. 6 days after exposure I got my first "sex toy" in the mail. I hoped that having a "fake vagina" would help me stop putting myself at risk with "real" girls so much.
) been shaped lump in my testicle sack about an inch from the start of the scrotum in the back (an inch from the taint). there is no pain unless i squeeze it (i thought it might be a pimple) and then the pain goes away almost emediately upon releas of pressure. i must admit after three weeks i am getting conserned. i have no insurance so cannot get it checked by a eurologist emediately. could you please tell me what this might be and could i have testicular cancer.
After a gall bladder removal, the next day my scrotum swelled up the size of a grapefruit. Extremely painful to touch. The third day they removed an abscess (they didn't tell me where). The made a 1" incision in the side and also made a small drain hole in the bottom of my scrotum. When the stitches fell out two days ago the incision opened up to 1/4" and I can see a white membrane inside. It has been 23 days since the incision was made.
I'm a 34 year old male. This summer I began to experience a dull ache in my left scrotum, like I had been kicked in the balls. That went away and was followed by a host of symptoms - including pain and sensitivity around my penis head - that made me think I had an STD. I went to Planned parenthood and was diagnosed with epididymidis and put on antibiotics. Things seemed okay until late last week when I began to experience severe lower back pain on my left side.
A boil, also referred to as a skin abscess, is a localized infection deep in the skin. Apply warm compresses on the boil and keep the area clean.Drainage of the boil is done only when it becomes soft and forms a head. Take some over the counter pain reliever and consult a doctor for examination and antibiotics prescription. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided.
In early January, I began have throbbing pains in the right side of my scrotum. It seemed that the pain moved around that area but was always on the right side. Sometimes I thought it was my testicle and then I would think it was behind it. I have no increase in pain or tenderness when I exam the area. Two weeks ago I finally decided to go to the doctors for help.
Also, the skin on the scrotum flakes from time to time. The scrotum tingles anytime I haven't slept enough or if I drink caffeine. These same conditions also produce small slits, or "paper cuts" along the inside of my groin, in the folds of the thigh. These cuts take up to a week to heal with a dried-up white looking appearance around the edges. I tried both Loprox & clotrimazole for jock itch first, but neither of these helped.
He had prescribe an antibotic and I also noticed a small rash on my groin area which they prescribed Clotrimazole and the rash is almost gone. I am experiencing a burning and discromfort in my scrotum, but I do not have any other symptoms. What could this be?
I have had a lot of twitching in my legs since then with constant tingling under my scrotum. No outbreaks or discharge or pan when urinating. I had STD test that came up negative. Doctor did test for MS came back clear. Had a herpes 2 test at 5 weeks came back neg. Is this herpes or some other STD? Is it anxiety - I have been very stressed about this -thinking about it all the time Is it some kind of infection? or something neurological?
I'm 30. I've been having a problem where my scrotum seems to be moving to my ***. There used to be a definite area between my legs, between my scrotum and my ***, but this is no longer there. This has been a very gradual process. It started ~1996. For the first four years, or so, I thought it was just a "older body change" type of thing. Later, occasional discomfort started in certain standing or sitting positions. This was ~1998.
Some possibilities for this growth include swollen lymph nodes, infection, or abscess. Are there any growths on your penis or scrotum? The main concern is cancer, but only by seeing a urologist and having a biopsy of the growth can help determine this.
The next morning I awoke to an itchy crotch. I noticed that my scrotum was/is red and I had tiny red bumps on my penis and glans. Also the urethral meatus is irritated. This morning I noticed a hard lymph inguinal lymph node on the left side. I've been tested for: Chlamydia Gonorrhea Herpes 1-2 HIV Syphilis All are negative. I also have a recurrent abscess that occurs on the left side of my perineum. Been to the doc for that (march) its flared up currently.
I found a lump in my crotch today that seems to have doubled in size since this morning. It has also developed a very foul smell, only at the location of this lump. The lump is now close to an inch in diameter and a half inch deep. It is located just to the penis side of the juncture of the leg and scrotum, at about the same height as the penis. What the heck is this? It's Saturday night or I would be making an immediate MD appointment.
Will popping zits, abscess, or hair follicles on my scrotum increase the risk or be a risk factor in getting testicular cancer?
Lately, he says, the discomfort has receded but he now seems to have developed a painful pimple in the groin area near his scrotum. Are the two problems likely to be connected? The weather in our city is presently quite humid, and this may also have something to do with his problems.
i have this warm burning feeling in my scrotum and anus off and on and the tip of my penis feels like it someone is pinching it also from day to day the area between the scrotum and the anus feels really tight almost like a knot.
theres about 5 or 6 of them on the left side at the base of my penis near my scrotum . they are about 1/3 the size of a bibi pellet. they are hard with no puss. they are little bumps under the skin not like a pimple.more like a small pellet beneath the skin it doesnt itch or burn. no problems urinating and they are not leaking any fluids. they've been there for about 3 weeks now with no sign of improvement so im starting to worry. i highly doubt it is a STD.
About 10 days ago I was in San Diego at a friends house. The place had dogs in it and was filthy. On the drive home my legs were burning around the inside near my scrotum. Then a rash of four pimples that were extremely painful. I tried to pop one and the pimples doubled. I noticed the burning was from inflamed glands above the sides of my pubic region. What the hell is this? The doctor is treating me for scabies. Its been 3 days now the glands are still a little tender and swollen.
Hi there. Pain in the right side of scrotum could be due to infection. A urethral swab to rule out sexually transmitted diseases (stds) , prostate examination including a prostatic massage and a transrectal ultrasound. You would require a course of antibiotics if it is prostatitis, any abscess on ultrasound would require incision and drainage. It could be an epididymal cyst on the right side causing the pain.
Basically, it feels like a muscle pull where the scrotum meet the torso and it occurs after I have ejaculated. So its in between the anus and scrotum. I am in my early 20s, so I'm thinking its not anything to do with the prostate, but concerned it may be prostatitius. Do you have suggestions as to what you may be?
In my opinion, he needs to see a specialist in men's health. The Doctors in the US are pretty good. I would also pose this question in the Men's Health Forum. You might get a better response there.
Hi, Thanks for writing in. The area between the testicles and anus corresponds to perineum. Swelling in this area could be due to infection, inflammation or abscess formation. It is difficult to confirm the cause without examination. Consult a urologist for examination and confirmation of the causer. Best.
For some time Ive been having some pain after jumping like 2 or 3 feet ex. after jumping a small fence or getting of a rock. The pain is not in the testicle area but behind. Between the scrotum and anus. Its a very sharp pain and lasts for about half a minute. Basically where doctors check for hernias when they tell you to cough. I will soon be having an appointment but wanted to check here first for suggestions.
