Why is it that when pregnant you get more charlie horses that hurt ten times worse then when your not Pregnant? And how the heck do I get rid of it cause I burst into tears now everytime I get them.

My son has a piece of toothpick stuck in bottom of his foot. doctor wants to wait for it to come to the surface or gets infected. he said it could be months before it comes out. is this crazy? Can't a doctor just send me somewhere to have the toothpick removed? it is swollen, very painful and he has to use crunches and his class rooms are on the 3rd floor!!!

m 34weeks 0days today and for some strange reason I keep waking up with very painful Charlie horses! Anyone knows why? It slips my mind every time I go to the doctor and I forget to ask her. Thanks.

For the last three years following one of my 3 foot surgeries I have had pain in my left hip. Over the past year My Doctor has treated me for Bursitis with cortisone injections and spinal block but to no avail. The pain is now in my entire left leg, left shoulder and arm along with headaches on the left side of my head and neck. My profession is equestrian/trainer and it has become increasingly more difficult to work with the horses. When I ride if I ride for over two hours I am in tears!

I am 32 weeks and now I am getting really bad charley horses. Do any one else has this problem how do you solve it?

Hi ladies .. ive been waking up in the middle of the night with horrible charlie horses in both of my calves. I drink water out the ying yang so I don't think im dehydrated but I just dont know how to help prevent it !

When I get them I either stretch my foot as far as I can, massage the muscle or sometimes I have to manually move my foot (with my hands) the cramps get so bad that my foot gets stuck in a bad position. As long as I can move my foot and stretch it, it usually goes away.

If you start to get a cramp in the back of your calf a good way to work through it faster is to take your foot and bend your toes upwards towards your knee. NOT pointing them like in ballet, that can make it worse. Slowly stretch your foot upwards and try to hold it there for a bit. It should help to shorten the duration of the cramp. Another thing that helps is to do that before laying down to stretch your muscles out. I get them really bad in the last trimester.

The knot could be a hematoma (localized collection of blood) or an abscess or even a ganglion due to injury to a tendon. A ligament or a tendon injury could also be causing pain. Have you undergone any recent surgery on the right leg, ankle or the foot? Is there any history of varicose veins or defective valves in the leg veins? I hope you are not taking any hormone like estrogens, perimenopausal? This needs urgent attention by a surgeon. Have you been checked for diabetes? It could be an abscess needing urgent drainage. You must go to the emergency room and an urgent x ray done to check for any ankle fracture.

Try eating a banana or two a day and drink a glass of water before bed. If it still happens lift your foot up so knee is in the air and foot is on the bed.

Eat bananas before bed! Seriously. They help prevent cramps, pregnant or not. Also, when you do get them, flex your foot. DO NOT point your toes out. Grab your foot and pull it towards you so it's like your making an L with your leg and foot. That should relieve it almost instantly.

Just recently she has started to not limp but have trouble shifting from foot to foot as she walks ,not real bad but noticeable .She doesn't whimper or yelp just goes about walking . My friend s father-in-law has a farm with cows and horses and has had for many years , he has asked if I know of a product called Beaut or Bute it gives the animals relief from pain. I am asking if that is a recommended product for a little dog.

Y'all omg I have NEVER in my life had charlie horses like I do now! This morning lord have mercy my whole left leg curled up and I felt my muscle or hamstring whatever it is balled up! It hurt like crazzzzyyy! Its been hurting all day :( Anyone have any tips on relieving or preventing them from happening? Or is it just an occuring pain bc I'm so close to the end?

I am 35 weeks and i rode up until about 3 weeks ago when i couldnt put my foot in the saddle. I think it was all stupid and i shouldnt have, but i was under alot of stress and horses really calm me down. Even the safest horses can trip when walking and cause enough motion to slam ur belly into the saddle horn. So good luck! If its somethin u usually dont do and u wanna try it for fun, i would say wait till baby is born, its not worth it!

a few days ago i noticed a place on my right butt cheek in the middle closer to my hip then the middle of my cheek that goes around to my groin area on my leg there are a few nodules......my doctor measured it it is 26 inches long just unfer the skin few nodules ...it doesnt hurt unless it is touched ...im not running a fever....my doctor has no clue she said she has never ran across anything like it ...is there anyone who might have any clue?
