Avatar f tn I live in the UK.Your horse sounds beautiful and talented.Unfortunately I am not as talented as you and your horse sounds, as I only hack and school her, but I try to do something with her every day, I think that I am a little too old to be too enthusiastic to try Dressage, am aching a little from when she fell the other day.I do not know much of her history prior to owning her,but would love to find out.Could you explain what Hunt Seat equitation involves?
Avatar m tn I let her stand up and picked up each paw the same way I would a horse needing hoof work. Got to where she saw the bottle and stood stock still until I ran a hand down a leg and she immediately gave me her paw. Made it really easy to work the Dermachlor in between her toe pads where it needed to be.
Avatar f tn We have wormed him, we feed him hi fibre pony nuts in the morning and happy hoof in the evening, he is groomed nearly everyday and only ridden about twice a week doing light work, can anyone help?
Avatar f tn Anyways, on Sunday I was handling my horses and my mare got jealous when a gelding approached me and she struck out with her front right hoof. Unfortunately, I was nailed in my lower left pelvic area instead of her target. My doctor and a nurse at the office said its too early for a mild trauma like that to cause any damage when I called on Sunday and then again today. I have normal cramps and no bleeding....but I'm super paranoid!
Avatar f tn This was accompanied by dizziness and fatigue. When I went in to the doctor, they tested me for lymes and came up with a false positive. I took the medication as directed with no effect. It is now nearly a month and a half after the initial numbness, and it's back. This time it is effecting my left leg (just like it did with my right).
Avatar f tn I take Biotin, Biosil, get adequate amounts of protein, rub "Hoof Saver with Collagen" on nails, but they are still flaking. Suggestions?
Avatar f tn The burning skin feeling is very much an MS symptom--in fact, it was my first, and I still have it every day this ton of years later. Not to say there aren't other causes of this, of course. As to shortness of breath, I think that's not likely to be MS-related, although if the autonomic nervous system is involved, I guess it's possible. On the other hand (I have lots of hands!
Avatar f tn I was reading McDonalds sweet tea. Sound hoof my favorite thing in the world since I got pregnant is happy hour at sonic real fruit slushies.
Avatar m tn For the last 4 months or so Ive had a thickening of the skin over my right axillae. I has a huge abscess in the area which resolved spontaneously after antibiotics. I noticed the irregularity in my skin soon afterwards. The lump hasnt increased in size but it wont go away either. Any thoughts??....thanks.
Avatar f tn Hi angel114, Typically if a abscess forms you take antibiotics, and if it's bad enough they have to also be drained, you can't really "cut out" an abscess,at least not without taking healthy tissue with it. Your grandmother should receive a pelvic exam to determine the cause and extent of the abscess to determine the correct treatment,a small sample may also be taken to rule out cancer beings she is post menopausal.
Avatar m tn An abscess is basically a build up of pus and infection in the jaw bone area. I assume that since you've seen a dentist recently, it probably would've been spotted at your last checkup as they generally develop from large cavities. There are abscess that also develop from gum disease as well but assuming you had a cleaning and check up, thats also a little more unlikely. Best to get it checked out and taken care of.
Avatar f tn More specifically it is called Amoebic Liver Abscess. The abscess, if it is one, is relative small and can be cured by antibiotics. No need to go in for aspiration. It is 100% curable. Also go in for a blood test along with a liver function test to test the levels of the enzymes. But, FIRST consult a good gastroenterologist. I wouldnt worry if I were you.
Avatar n tn painful lumps in the anus/rectum, pain and swelling in the anus or buttocks area, painful bowel movements, fever/ or night sweats, and abdominal pain. Antibiotics treat the infection that has caused the abscess. The specific antibiotic depends on what infectious organism has caused the abscess. Whether the abscess is drained or not, antibiotics are always used to treat the underlying infection. Needle aspiration of the abscess to remove the infectious fluid.
1666982 tn?1445198395 The reason I have reocurring fistulas was due to a abscess that was opened from the wrong direction, by a gynecologist. So maybe another abscess.

Avatar n tn But the main one that is concerning me now is one that I recently noticed on his bottom jaw - on the bone it seems. I checked his teeth, they are fine, no abscess that I can see. He eats like a horse and plays as usual. I have him on Blue Wilderness Salmon Recipe dog food. Should I be concerned and take him to the vet?
Avatar f tn Either your husband has been bitten by something or you have developed an abscess. If it is an abscess it will need to be drained. Take an anti-inflammatory analgesic like ibuprofen and an anti allergic and see if that helps. If it is an insect bite, it will improve. However if the insect’s sting is left inside, then also it will not heal unless the sting is removed. Keep the hand raised on a pillow kept beside him when he is lying—basically avoid the hand hanging down.
Avatar n tn From what you are describing I would think it may be a Bartholin's cyst or abscess. The Bartholin glands are in the lower portion of the vagina and while the cyst isn't supposed to be painful, the abscess is and I would imagine if the cyst were big enough it would hurt. You may want to see your gyn about this. Also you can google Bartholin's cyst and you will get a lot of information.
Avatar f tn This may be brought about by a break in the skin/areola, producing a superimposed infection and thus abscess formation. If there is an abscess, incision and drainage must be done and the specimen is sent to the pathologist for evaluation. Good luck.
Avatar f tn Over the past couple days I developed an extremely painful abscess. In an attempt to clean my mouth using coconut oil the abscess burst. I believe I didn't swallow any of the liquid leaking out and throughly rinsed my mouth with salt water and then some hydrogen peroxide. I will be receiving insurance in about 2 weeks from my new job so I am hoping I can hold off going to the dentist till then.
Avatar m tn Hi I woke up and felt a lump on my cheek (right) , I can't see anything in my gums and on my cheek it doesn't look swelled up , though you can definitely feel a lump Any ideas what it is or how to get rid of
1462810 tn?1327360449 I'm so tired of prescribed meds causing more problems than they cure - one prescription leading to side-effects that lead to another prescription and on and on. Antibiotics are a perfect case in point, they destroy the body's natural good bacteria and yeasts - totally vital to your health and wellbeing, totally.
Avatar f tn Sorry for another question. Is the perianal abscess or the opening of an anal fistula considered as an open sore/wound? Many thanks in advance.
Avatar f tn Tooth numbness can be caused due to a number of reasons like apical abscess, pulpitis, impacted tooth, dental abscess, dental cavities. It would be better if you consult a good dentist for the purpose at the earliest.
