abilify with lexapro

I needed a medication for severe depression. My Dr. put me on 20mg of Lexapro. I am now taking 5mg of Abilify to help the boost the Lexapro. I didn't notice the restlessness/anxiety until a month on the Lexapro. Anyone else have this side effect?

t want to add deppression on because of the meds, if this is the case. Now the dr. wants me to try the 5 mg of lexapro and 2.5 mg of the abilify together, but I'm scared! I hate taking meds anyway but want to feel better. I have also been taking .25 mgs of zanax 3 times a day. I don't want to become a zombie!

I am now on 20 mg of lexapro and 5 mg of abilify. The abilify has not kicked in yet, I really do not get a lot of sleep maybe 5 hours at the most as you see what time it is. Does anyone out there know if abilify really does work, I have only been on it 4 days and feels like it has not kicked in. Please help. Thanks to all.

I would give Remeron a shot before trying Abilify as Remeron is supposed to have reduced side effects compared to several other antidepressant and you are subject to less interactions.

I was hoping I would feel alot better while taking Lexapro & Abilify. It has been 2 months. I don't feel terrible I just don't have any confidence. I suppose it takes alot more time? I'm trying meditation. Any other suggestions?

my doc suggested Abilify to add. I had already put on 30lbs from lexapro, which is part of becoming depressed again. I have been on the Abilify for 6days now & can tell it is having a positive impact on me. I have had enough motivation to work out the past two days & I am really watching what I'm eating. Has anyone here had success with losing weight on Abilify & prozac? I really cannot afford to put on more weight & feel worse about myself.

Reason I ask is simply because to take a patient from Lexapro 30mgs with Abilify and switch them to Welbutrin and Seroquel is kind of an odd change. Welbutrin can be a good add on antidepressant to SSRI's and SNRI's, but is not so effective as a solo antidepressant in most cases. Seroquel is really nothing more than just an altered seditive and will do little for depression. Welbutrin is just a Dopamine Reuptake Inhibitor.

I've been on abilify and lexapro for bipolar depression and I have random twitches all over my body. Plus it's not helping with the depression. The mood swings have gotten better but even Getting out of bed is hard. Like a heavy weight dragging me down. Any suggestions on what to do?

Cymbalta was another one that helped my panic attacks, I went on that after being on Prozac for 8 or 9 years. It works faster than Prozac but slower than celexa & lexapro.

I feel good for a few weeks and then they seem to poop out until the next increase. I am currently on Prozac/Abilify. I am on 80mg of Prozac and was on 2 mg of the Abilify. I was doing well for a few week and then it seemed to poop out on me again. So the Dr. upped my Abilify to 5 mg. I have been at that dose for week and I am feeling ton of anxiety, worse than before. Anyone have a similar experience, whether it has been with the same meds or different?

First, Pristiq isn't novel, it's just Effexor with part of it cut off, as was done with Celexa/Lexapro. Some will say it's just a way to get another drug on patent, but since people do have very different reactions to Celexa vs. Lexapro, there probably are differences here, too. Second, Cymbalta isn't an ssri, it's an snri like Pristiq. Third, snris can be very stimulating because they target norepinephrine.

I have been on Lexapro for several years and i just stopped taking it for about a month because I couldn't afford to buy it. Then I started it again and its been 4 weeks and all of a sudden I am feeling very depressed and I am not able to eat and worry about everything. Is this happening because I just stopped then started the medication?

my dr started me on 2 mgs abilify along with my 30 mgs of lexapro. within a few days the depression began to fade. i did have to make myself get out of bed to go exercise, eat. clean the house. about a week later i was on the mend. i don't have a suport group either. though my husband knows about my depression and anxiety and is very supportive . i try to keep my depression to myself. i just tell family and friends i don't feel well. i do a lot of self talk too.

I was told to switch from 150 mg Zoloft to 20 mg of lexapro and I am also taking 5 mg of abilify. I am SO WORRIED the lexapro will make e dizzy. Please anyone have insight in this. Please help. I am freaking out and so worried.

I believe Abilify is similar to Lamictal, which I take along with Lexapro. At first I felt better except for extreme upset stomach which went away after a week or two. I also had extreme insomnia which lasted about 4 weeks -- I was tossing and turning all night, got about 2 or 3 hrs of sleep if I was lucky, so bad I was actually afraid to go to bed at night. My psych doc told me to hang in there, as my body adjusted it would get better.

I am bipolar I with mixed episodes. (Also with rapid cycling :) fun stuff...) Has anyone tried any medicines that didn't cause weight gain and didn't cost a fortune. I am on Abilify right now but I am very quickly going to have to change because my insurance isn't that great and it cost me $100. hi I took my 2nd pill of abilfy last night and woke up this morning with a heartrate of 112...its usullay in the 68 to 72 range,could this be from abilify,,,,and im kinda dizzy...i called my pshy yesterday but didnt metion this and she told me i cant call her ever day or she can t be my dr.

I saw faces in my sleep about a year about n had n extremely scary panic attack after that I was put on abilify n lexapro and the tingling went away a little bit but now its back full force Im still on lexapro but not abilify. I live with major dpression/anxiety and am currently on Wellbutrin XL 400mg, Cymbalta 90 mg, Lexapro 10 mg, Repridal 10 mg and Xanax 3 mg and a couple of other non related meds. My doctor is trying to raise my energy level and simplify my meds. W ould ambilify help with energy? These seem like alot of meds to me,( my fomer doctor kept adding them as the depression did not get better). I am stable now but feel neither here nor there sort of emotionless. Any input would be appreciated.
