It solved my rapid heart rate but recently my dizziness and lightheadedness and fuzzy vision have been worse. Do you think I am getting used to this drug? And after reasearaching on the web, why do I never see info about POTS and cymbalta?

I'm not sure if it's the Abilify or not... I'd been taking it for over a month, and all of a sudden stuff starts popping up. I should also mention I have flares of some sort of 'immune dysfunction' (doc's non-specific, non-helpful diagnosis), so it may be that? I'm also running an odd low-grade fever. Nice. I am dry. Dry dry dry. My eyes BURN. My mouth is sticky. Every part of my body is DRY. I'm drinking all the time. Almost to the point of ridiculousness.

I took Abilify and Effexor (seperately) as well, Abilify was the last drug aimed at controling my largely depressive BP. It made me feel blah, less deeply depressed, but it gave me the rare side effect of blurred vision! I take pristiq 100mg and abilify 5 mg. I haven't missed any medicine, but I'm having symptoms like I have when I miss it. I've had a headache for 3 days. I've been taking zyprexa for almost 6 months and am still suffering side effects. I get blurred vision and fogginess which makes it hard to concentrate. I'm sleepy all of the time and could fall asleep at my desk if I could. I've had bipolar disorder for 10 years and have never been sleepy all of the time. I was on Geodon after Abilify made me gain weight. The Geodon , for me, didn't work for bipolar symptoms but I am a diificult case. Abilify was the only med that worked. However, I did loose weight on Geodon and for the 2st couple weeks had an usdet stomach. If this drug works for you, and you know it's trial error for us anyway, I think you'll be please with the lack of side effects. I didn't even know I was on it after a week.

I have no pain or discharge in that eye......I have noticed no halos or any problems with my vision before or after the blurry vision starts. I recently got DX'd with bursitis in my R hip and my R heel has been tingling & going numb. This too comes on suddenly and only lasts for a few minutes......It seems to me that something is going on with the R side of my body!!!

I am on zoloft which does not help with my anxiety, does adding abilify help with the anxiety and the depression?

There is no reason you can't take Abilify with Zoloft. I take Abilify with several other medications. It started working within 2 weeks and my depression decreased dramatically. One common side effect of Abilify is akathisia, a restless need to move. I have that but added propranolol and it stopped it completely with no other side effects.

I tried Abilify with my antidepressant. After a few months on Abilify, my anxiety was actually worse. I noticed that the Abilify caused me to be agitated and restless (like I couldn't get confortable or sit still, kind of jittery) Abilify is really ment more to aid in the treatment of depression than it is anxiety. It's designed to be used as an antidepressant add on drug to give a bit more antidepressant punch rather than an anti-anxiety punch. Bad idea I think.

Have you had these symptoms checked out by your GP? Abilify does cause shaking and tremors, and just because your psychiatrist hasn't seen these side effects doesn't mean they aren't being caused by the Abilify. I doubt the Abilify is doing much to help you, it's rare to get this many years out of one medication as our bodies build up a tolerance to these types of medications.

I have been on Abilify for 2 months or so, give or take. I am not schizophrenic, Bi-Polar, or Autistic. I just suffer from Panic Attacks. I would like to leave a comment. I started gaining kilogrammes on abilify so my psychiatrist told me its not from the abilify. I also have heart beat and shaking everywhere my body. Also my hair start to drop. And also I cant concentrate- the problem is I have memory loss. I did some blood test and my thyroid antibodies are not working properly, the other blood tests are not ready yet. Is it possible abilify cause thyroid problems or the drug is causing it not to work properly?

I dont think Abilify works for depression alone. I ran out of my effexor xr (antidepressant) and only took my abilify and was a real mess for a week.. It was as if i werent taking anything. The abilify doesnt work alone in my case. Its only a booster pill, so to speak. I was tearful and restless without my antidepressant. However that could have been withdrawal or something.

I mix seroquel and abilify without issued only the Abilify has finally gotten my appetite under control and im losing weight Seroquel causes weight gain but nothing like the weight gain with Zyprexa.
