Abilify tremors

Common Questions and Answers about Abilify tremors

abilify

Avatar f tn Have you had these symptoms checked out by your GP? Abilify does cause shaking and tremors, and just because your psychiatrist hasn't seen these side effects doesn't mean they aren't being caused by the Abilify. I doubt the Abilify is doing much to help you, it's rare to get this many years out of one medication as our bodies build up a tolerance to these types of medications.

Avatar n tn Not a single person I worked with in my job, because I was working at the time I was on Abilify said anything about my feetwork or my gesturing, or my hand tremors. A woman in a coffeehouse I always walked to in the morning after work, call me a "retard" because of my movements, and now I remember I did have a drooling problem at the time. I usually don't get bothered by slurs of any kind, but that one upset me and made me run put pf the cafe because I started crying.
20826405 tn?1529256108 I have been taking Zoloft and Abilify, but it still continued after I stopped taking them. It feels completely different from the feeling that you get when you miss a step on the stairs, and this is the best way that I can describe it.

1696867 tn?1312609591 They put her on Lithium and then added abilify a week later. The abilify gave her horrible side effects and I never want to see my daughter in that condition again! I detest the drug Abilify. It is a reckless drug in my opinion. I have been prescribed Lamictal now for 3 years. It is the right med for me. I am not on the floor with depression and do not gain weight. I wish some could challenge their docs.

Avatar f tn I just went back on Abilify 2 days ago after being off of it for a week due to tremors (with other meds). I also can't figure out which way my mood is swinging. It seems to be a bit of both mania and depression. But i didn't think psychosis existed in mixed episodes. I am so frustrated. I just want things to work out and they aren't right now. This was just really to vent, but if anyone has any advice in the meantime, well that would be great. Also i have an appt.
Avatar n tn Therefore, I want to have her take the maintenance dose of abilify like the psychiatrist wants. Can she also take the sam e along with abilify? It appears that sam e has been used safely with SSRI's. I am also hoping that her blood tests will be OK when taking both together.

Avatar f tn After a few months on Abilify, I developed tremors in both hands and a month down the line the legs started. They took me off (tapered) and after a short period they went away. However , I've heard the longer you have them the more likely they are to become permanent.
Avatar m tn m taking cogentin, it should be stopping things like this and it was working fine after they reduced my dosage until just now when this started happening. I also take Abilify. My cheeks feel like they are starting to want to tense up with it sometimes as well.
Avatar f tn So, right now I am working with my Psychiatrist to address the agitation part (the lack of energy/concentration is for the most part taken care of). I am currently taking Abilify, which I find really helps me with agitation, but I had to drop to a lower dosage, and I am not finding it's not as effective. I have also noticed when I take the Abilify along with my Adderall it helps increase my energy and productivity.
Avatar n tn s transitioning you off Zyprexa to Geodon that makes sense as Zyprexa is the worst offender for diabetes which is a common risk for all atypical antipsychotics, the lowest rate being on Abilify. Abilify is considered safer than Geodon because of the risk of heart arrythmia in Geodon. I experienced some heart palpitations on Geodon and was taken off it.
Avatar m tn I have been having trouble for the past year with violent hand tremors that can sometimes spread throughout my body, especially after any sort of exercise, severe headaches that are not treated by common analgesics, I have to take Profrin tablets and they rarely work, as well as extreme generalized fatigue that is not benefited by sleep and muscular weakness. These symptoms ebb and flow in a progressive matter.
