what is the rang between bipolarism and schizophrenia. Usually bipolarism 15 and schizophrenia is 45mg.

They put her on Lithium and then added abilify a week later. The abilify gave her horrible side effects and I never want to see my daughter in that condition again! I detest the drug Abilify. It is a reckless drug in my opinion. I have been prescribed Lamictal now for 3 years. It is the right med for me. I am not on the floor with depression and do not gain weight. I wish some could challenge their docs.

I was prescribed zoloft but i cant deal with the side effects. The worst being the sexual side effects and the insomnia. I cant deal with those side effects so i stopped taking the medications. I have tried Wellbutrin which did not work for me. The SSRIs all have terrible side effects that make it almost not worth to take but they seem to be the most effective. When a person starts a medication often the side effects are at their worst at first and a person is better able to tolerate the medication over time. However you should let your psychiatrist know about these side effects. Nausea could potentially be prevented by taking a medication with food if your psychiatrist says that would work out.

One other piece of information you need to have if you ever switch off of Paxil is that it is very possible that you can have withdrawal side effects, so hopefully your doctor will move the new one in as you slowly come off of it. All of them give me side effects but the Geodone (Zeldox here in Canada) has the least side effects of the bunch so I take it. Risperadol made me lactate - that was a deal breaker. lol. My combo is trazodone, lamotrigine, and Geodone (Zeldox). It took me a loooong time to get to the point of stability. Unless you've been through the whole list of antipsychotics I'd keep trying to see if something works better than seroquel.

I recently started taking Abilify and am experiencing uncontrolled shaking and light-headedness. What are the side effects of Abilify and are these a couple of them. You could try taking it in the morning because it typically keeps people awake and causes restlessness. Also, when i first started on aripiprazole (abilify) i experienced some side effects but they went away after a couple of weeks. Hopefully yours will go away as well, if they don't go away,however, talk to your psychiatrist. You don't have to deal with any unwanted side effects if you don't want to. Wellbutrin gave me an allergic reaction, I was itching constantly from the inside out. But that's just me, most antidepressant give me some kind of allergic reaction. I would be cautious about ability though, read about the drugs side effects and long term use effects. Those are very unusual side effects for Abilify but medications can interact and lithium is a good medication but it can have interactions with other medications although those two medications can be and are often safely given together. Speak to the psychiatrist more about this. They can't do a blood test for Abilify for blood levels but they can with lithium. Trileptal unlike Tegretol or lithium does not generally require a blood test.

I taken all the above and had to quit them for weird side effects. I now take Abilify and it has changed my world. I am doing better than I ever have. It was harsh to start though. It made my stomach so sore for a couple of months. Really bad. But it does great things for my brain. I know every body is different - this is just my story. If it were me I would replace rather than add. Keeping the risperadol on board will continue the girly issues.

Yes give the seroquel more time, they all need a few months to really tell if they are going to work for you or not...the first while all you feel are the side effects and that passes...good luck to you that you will feel better real soon.

Only side effect I really noticed from Abilify was weight gain but this was because it made me start eating every 3 hours and become obsessed with food I guess. I take Abilify for psychotic symptoms associated with my diagnosis of schizophrenia.

Yes these would be side effects of concern. Abilify and the related SDA antipsychotics can at times cause heart irregularities. Having trouble breathing (potentially) and having stiffness in your neck or back could be due to temporary movement disorders (if dystonia is left untreated a person could have trouble breathing, for that reason its best to have a side effect pill with you at all times, check that with your doctor).
