They put her on Lithium and then added abilify a week later. The abilify gave her horrible side effects and I never want to see my daughter in that condition again! I detest the drug Abilify. It is a reckless drug in my opinion. I have been prescribed Lamictal now for 3 years. It is the right med for me. I am not on the floor with depression and do not gain weight. I wish some could challenge their docs.

I recently started taking Abilify and am experiencing uncontrolled shaking and light-headedness. What are the side effects of Abilify and are these a couple of them. Deplin seems to be an anti-depressant booster, and Abilify could cause the twitching. It does take a while for it to get out of the system. If after a month off the drugs, and the twitching is still there, you migh want to consult with a psychiatrist.

The side effects sound too common and worrying although there are others who say it was a miracle for them. I suppose you could always stop it if it is going wrong but I agree Aeroquel would be far better. I'm on Seroquel now but need to change in about a month. Seroquel has been excellent for me. I really, really hate going on new meds, especially when there seems to be either good or bad coming. Not a risk we should have to take is it?

I, too, have joint pain and swelling in hands (and sometimes feet) w/femara. I have developed a trigger finger and dequervains tendonitis in bilateral wrist w/thumb pain. Had to go off med for a month and also have sites injected w/cortisone. Never had any of this before. Oncologist said she had seen trigger finger before no dequervains tendonitis? Wondering if anyone out there has had any of these side effects? And what do you think of this? I am miserable w/all this discomfort.

According to the side effects listed in the product information anxiety may be one of the psychiatric side effects... so if you had anxiety along with depression prior to being prescribed the abilify then it may be making it worse. I was on abilify along with effexor for about 6 months. I didnt have any side effects from it but it didnt do any good for me either so I got off it. It was really expensive too! Even with my insurance it still cost $90! If its working for you thats great! And you really arent supposed to drink while on anti depressants! It can make depression worse and alter the effect of the anti depressant. EVeryone reacts differently but I choose not to drink while on them! Best of luck to you!!!!
