I am on zoloft which does not help with my anxiety, does adding abilify help with the anxiety and the depression?

Does anyone know much about the drug Abilify? I have been taking the lexapro for a few weeks, and not sure that it is the right drug for me. About four days after I started taking it I felt really stranged, confused, depressed. I started the med for anxiety/panic. Not feeling as bad now, but still alittle down. I took lexapro a year ago for just about a month, but did not have this side affect. The dr said we could either change antidepressants of try taking .5 of the lexapro and 2.

Went to docs with unrelated problems but in talking my anxiety was evident and she asked about depression and I told her I wasn't suicidal and no desire to hurt myself or anyone else just was having a difficult time seeing the good in anything. Everyday tasks seemed very hard to do. Zero motivation although i do function well enough to get thru my days. i have never taken antidepressants before I am 33 yo male. She recommended I try meds.
Hi. I've been on these boards a long time. My last failed treatment had to fail because about 9 weeks into the treatment, I developed retinal hemmorhaging. My husband (we've divorced now, but not because of this). He had to do my shot that night into the back of the forearm because I felt so awful. As he prepared the medication, I had to keep correcting what he was doing.
I had been taking 600mg of the seroquel and my md lowered my dosage to 300 adding 5mg of abilify. For the past two days (first two days on Abilify) I have experienced extreme mood swings and seem to snap at relatively small things. I have read several entries stating that the Abilify works extremely quickly and my md said the same, I am just hoping that this isn't going to be the end result that I have on this drug. Please help!
The other two target other neurotransmitters along with serotonin. The possible danger is getting serotonin syndrome, which is an overdose basically of serotonin. It's not common to get it, but when you start combining meds the way you are, you also combine side effects and if you combine meds that work on the same neurotransmitter it is possible to cause serotonin syndrome, or even if you don't, too many side effects of going after the same mechanism in the brain.
I would encourage you to do some research on this drug as well as read the responses you will get here. This drug, Abilify, was approved originally by the FDA only when all other drugs had failed to work, if my memory serves. The reason was it had a lot of side effects and didn't work all that well for most people. It's an antipsychotic; do you suffer a psychosis?
I started Abilify around that time but has since stopped. I used Abilify for maybe a month. Since mid-may, my erections got gradually worse and now despite the fact I have fantasies that excite me nothing is happening with my penis. It either remains flaccid or gets only partly erect. I havent yet tried intercourse since I only recently met a woman and we arent at the stage of having sex yet. Would intercourse stimulation be enough to get my groove back?
My wife has had a head ache since January. The Dr. took her off of abilify because of muscle movement that would not stop [dti] Abilify has these effects on the side ,can the headaches be caused by being off this medicine.
