I've had chronic, severe nausea for the past year and I can't take it anymore. I get nauseated after everything I eat. It doesn't matter what. I can't even have breakfast anymore (I went from eating solids to drinking liquids, and now I can't eat anything at all). Sometimes I feel like I'm not even hungry, and other times I feel horribly hungry. I can only have small meals now and I can't have dairy or bread.

Does any one take Abilify if so for what reason and does it work? my Dr. just put me on 2mg for anxity and i want true answers I just hate to take something thats not gonna work and then I have to try something else..

My son took Cymbalta for a while, at higher doses, plus Abilify. It wasn't very helpful to him. I asked the doctor to try it, because there was a woman who posted on here, a couple of years ago, how well both of her daughters did on high doses of Cymbalta plus Abilify. But what works for one, doens't nececssarily work for another. The two meds that have been most helpful for my son are Doxepin and Klonopin.

I took 1/2 of the 2mg ability every other day - only took it twice and had severe nausea and then my hands started tingling and became "claw like". Lasted several minutes, the nausea continued for about 30 minutes and then settled. has anyone else had this reaction from ability?

I have been on Cymbalta (30mg 2 X day) for a few weeks (about six) and my doctor gave me some Abilify samples (2mg) to try along with the Cymbalta. Sleep is interesting while being on Abilify. When I do go to sleep it's a deep sleep for two hours then I wake up. This pattern goes on throughout the night until morning. I do get my eight hours of sleep. When I started Abilify I couldn't wait for my next dose to increase. I started at 5mg then up to 10mg then I can't wait for my next appointment for the next higher dose. Could this drug be addictive?

Since starting abilify I have been seeing and dreaming strange things. It is almost to a point where it almost feels real. Think back if you may have taken the Abilify at a slightly different time and what the specific titration you have for this. All of this would be worth discussing with your psychiatrist but for right now just ask them if anything of concern is happening and what to do next.

There is no reason you can't take Abilify with Zoloft. I take Abilify with several other medications. It started working within 2 weeks and my depression decreased dramatically. One common side effect of Abilify is akathisia, a restless need to move. I have that but added propranolol and it stopped it completely with no other side effects.

I'm withdrawing from Zyprexa, Abilify, Ativan and sertraline. It's been three weeks and I've had terrible nausea, stomach pain, fatigue, and generally not feeling good. How long will this last? I tried Abilify with my antidepressant. After a few months on Abilify, my anxiety was actually worse. I noticed that the Abilify caused me to be agitated and restless (like I couldn't get confortable or sit still, kind of jittery) Abilify is really ment more to aid in the treatment of depression than it is anxiety. It's designed to be used as an antidepressant add on drug to give a bit more antidepressant punch rather than an anti-anxiety punch. Bad idea I think.

Have you had these symptoms checked out by your GP? Abilify does cause shaking and tremors, and just because your psychiatrist hasn't seen these side effects doesn't mean they aren't being caused by the Abilify. I doubt the Abilify is doing much to help you, it's rare to get this many years out of one medication as our bodies build up a tolerance to these types of medications.

I have been on Abilify for 2 months or so, give or take. I am not schizophrenic, Bi-Polar, or Autistic. I just suffer from Panic Attacks. I would like to leave a comment. I started gaining kilogrammes on abilify so my psychiatrist told me its not from the abilify. I also have heart beat and shaking everywhere my body. Also my hair start to drop. And also I cant concentrate- the problem is I have memory loss. I did some blood test and my thyroid antibodies are not working properly, the other blood tests are not ready yet. Is it possible abilify cause thyroid problems or the drug is causing it not to work properly?
