t much, but my understanding this drug is only officially approved a last-ditch antidepressant for those for whom nothing else worked. I assume there are good reasons for this limited approval. As to that particular side effect, any drug that affects the brain can make one sedated or the opposite, overstimulated.
the problem with the meds is that if one finds the right combo - that for some it takes months or even years to find - then pdocs like to stick to it because it will take another round to search for a convenient one. Each drug has its pro and con, for instance although abilify is newer than seroquel but the majority take the last one because the 1st is activating and can cause anxiety contrary to seroquel which is good for anxiety. so they say the combo which suits your BP is the one you choose.

i cant go school well. i cant stay in classroom. even i cant go to school. i always want to stay at home. i am out of my home, i quickly want to go back my house. also i smoke 3 packet cigarette in a day. also i have serious sleep disorder.
i explained my problems to my doctor. then he gave me wellbutrin and abilify combination. what do you think about it?
1 mg of Clonidine. The stipulation was to give my son 1/2 a pill of Abilify for 7 days then the full 5 mg dose for the next 7 days and we would meet with the Psychiatrist again after the two weeks. I read every bit of the side effects paper work given with the Abilify. My son after 2 doses of the 1/2 a pill of Abilify is having tremors. The paper work I was given do NOT state this as a side effect but some websites did state this was a side effect for children taking this medication.

I have been on Abilify for about 3 months now, and it is currently the only medication I am on. It has worked wonders for my anxiety, and has helped somewhat with my depression.
I can now socialize with ease whereas before I just had too much anxiety to deal with any social situations. Abilify has definitely made me more easygoing.
I have not noticed it from the Abilify. I love both meds though, they work great for me. I started the sweats from Wellbutrin and was put on Abilify later, so I do not know if it causes it too. All I know is I had to go get a powder puff and some powder and use it twice a day now! LOL.... good luck!!
If you are noticing that you require less sleep or feel elated during the day, please speak with your doctor as this is usually not the desired side effect. Abilify is now being marketed for those with depression. But it was used in clinical trials for bi-polar disorder... This is a strong anti-psychotic so please be careful.
My Dr and I discussed it and he said i may be a good "candidate" for Abilify. Right now im taking 100mgs of zoloft, and .05mgs of lorazepham. Been on those meds for 2 months now and while im not having as much panick attacks, its still there and im having trouble sleeping. Im seeing a threapist tomarrow as my Dr told me to do,cause he wants to get a second opioun on weather i should take abilify or not...Has anyone here taken that medication? What are your thoughts?
I have been on Abilify for 2 months or so, give or take. I am not schizophrenic, Bi-Polar, or Autistic. I just suffer from Panic Attacks. My Doctor prescribed me Abilify as an enhancer for my Paxil/Xanax cocktail. Long story short, I was taking 2mg of abilify once a day. Recently My Insurance decided they were going to be the Doctor and my funding for the Abilify ran out. I am not going to pay $543.00 for meds can't afford it and think that price is ludicrous.
Hi, I’m currently taking Abilify, Prozac and Clonidine and I got offered a great job, I have to do a drug test, will any of these medications make me fail? It’s a urine test at arc point labs. I’m assuming no but I want to make sure.
