abilify cost comparison

I am bipolar I with mixed episodes. (Also with rapid cycling :) fun stuff...) Has anyone tried any medicines that didn't cause weight gain and didn't cost a fortune. I am on Abilify right now but I am very quickly going to have to change because my insurance isn't that great and it cost me $100. I am on Neurontin and Celexa right now which is great but I can still feel myself going up and down all the time.

Still I wondered about Medicare Pard D, I think it is, for those who are over 65 and need insurance for this type of prescription cost. I have not myself made a comparison of Medicare Part D verses private insurance, I prefer private insurance as I do not believe government does a good/efficient job compared to private sector.

I take Abilify and it cost about $650 a month. My insurance company would like me to try something else but since it is still in their formulary they have to cover it.

Then, of course when you hit the donut hole after$2500 has been spent on meds the cost goes up to half the actual cost - $300 a month. Part D is not very good at reducing the cost of meds until you have spent more than $4550 in a year. If your income is low enough to get medicaid as your supplement then your med cost goes down below $10. Check with your county social services about getting help. I am always amazed that people think Part D is a cureall for getting your meds.

He substituted tegretol with Abilify as my MS. I heard well of Abilify and I happen to have come across http://www.askdrjones.com/2005/02/14/ranking-the-mood-stabilizers/ . To tell you the truth I became happy because I know tegretol needs blood tests, etc…while abilify has a few side effects except some anxiety. I only became suspicious about its potency as a mood stabilizer. Otherwise why do pdocs recommend always one of the triads (lithium, depakote, tegretol) or lamictal lately.

I am currently taking Wellbutrin for my depression. My question is can I take Abilify with Wellbutrin?

I am on 7.5 mg of abilify (morning), and 2.5mg zyprexa (night), which I've been on for a couple of weeks I'm finding the mix better than just the 7.5mg of olanzapine I have been taking previously for 6 years due to the fact I can actually get up in the morning now! I recommend these doses. I would like to know side affects of abilify..ie sex drive, sense of humour, weight loss? And can I use paracetomels with this mix? And green tea slimming pills?

Only bummer about Abilify is the cost. it can be very expensive. It works for a lot of people and may work for you also. Give the Abilify a good 6 weeks to work at full effect. Keep in touch and if you need me you can always PM me.

I want to become a mother again. I have a 19 y/o. I am a newly wed. My husband has no children we are considering IVF but it is so costly. Not sure if I am able d/t high FSH. didn't get result for AMH as of yet. But if its not possible for me to have one biologically we are considering using DE. My question. Is it cheaper using a family or friend as a donor in comparison using an anonymous donor. Where I am living, it cost $16,500 for DE...IVF cost almost $20,000.

I take 24mg suboxone daily. Iam bi-polar and was prescribed pristiq and abilify, after i went on the suboxone, which i did not tell the doc i was on. I took my first dose of the meds, the abilify and pristiq, (which i had been on before) and got deathly ill, for about 6 hours, then i felt drugged until the next day. I have not tryed it again. Iam only on the suboxone, but i want to get off of it, it has changed my life for the better, in every way, except the cost.

I was diagnosed about a month ago with PTSD and a mood disorder but I'm still wondering if that mood disorder is bipolar. Specifically bp2. I've been put on Abilify 2mg. Before diagnosis and medication this is how my life has been: extreme hypersexuality, which resulted in promiscuity outside of my marriage and now divorce. I was also having lots of mood swings and got mad over stupid little things or cried uncontrollably. Sometimes very hostile and would throw things.

I go back to my psych next week and am thinking that I really don't want to waste any more time on this Rexulti experiment. Not to mention some other unpleasant side effects and the cost. I wanted to try Symbyax but my doc said there is no basis to support an antidepressant successfully treating bipolar depression.

My doctor recommended cutting back on the Effexor and adding a mood stabilizer called Abilify to help bring some mood balance and joy back into my life, she said it would also help me sleep. The only problem is I have a high deductible on my insurance and the pharmacy said the Abilify was 700 bucks for a 30 days supply unit I reach my deductible of $1250. There is no way I can afford that!

I was floored when I found out how much abilify cost..$500.00!! ~ I have insurance,so it was only $20.00...that is scary! What if you lost your insurance,and it was really working for you??? My gson is on the smallest dose now. We just started getting help for my gson,so the doctor is really not sure if he is more than severe depression. The bad thing was for me,was when I went through menopause,I could not take anything.I went from being layed back,to a witch.....glad that is behind me.

I thought it was working at first but then all of a sudden it stopped working. So starting today doctor has added abilify. Who knows maybe it will help. Hope so. Hope everyone is well. The lowest added cost estimates I got for the Symfony IOL was about $1800-1900 in my area, for a Tecnis Toric monofocal IOL (which is what I ended up choosing) the added cost was $1333 in comparison. Those are costs in addition to the standard cataract surgery costs after insurance. The added cost included the extra surgeon fees as well as the IOL cost itself, in my case for the toric IOL is was split about $600 for the IOL and about $700 for the extra surgeon fees.

Watch our if someone suggests Abilify... check on the cost... it is so high price I think it causes more anxiety than it cures.

Thanks for the response. The medication is Abilify. The funny thing is when I went to pick up the medication from the pharmacy it cost $580.00. That amount is making me psychotic, its just absurd, I go to a low cost clinic and she prescibes me that? I feel like she is incompetent. I just dont feel like she is working in my best inerest.
