3248163 tn?1354847640 I take Abilify and it cost about $650 a month. My insurance company would like me to try something else but since it is still in their formulary they have to cover it.
Avatar n tn I went off Seroquel and tried Abilify and one other (cant remember) but they did not work. I am now backon Seroquel 300 miligrams along with my Lithium and Pexeva. I feel like it doesnt work as well as it did the first time. I went up to 450 with Seroquel, but I am just way too sleepy. Does anyone know a drug that works well with Pexeva and Lithium? My biggest problems are racing thoughts and anxiety when I am off of the Seroquel. Help!
Avatar f tn Then, of course when you hit the donut hole after$2500 has been spent on meds the cost goes up to half the actual cost - $300 a month. Part D is not very good at reducing the cost of meds until you have spent more than $4550 in a year. If your income is low enough to get medicaid as your supplement then your med cost goes down below $10. Check with your county social services about getting help. I am always amazed that people think Part D is a cureall for getting your meds.
574118 tn?1305135284 He substituted tegretol with Abilify as my MS. I heard well of Abilify and I happen to have come across http://www.askdrjones.com/2005/02/14/ranking-the-mood-stabilizers/ . To tell you the truth I became happy because I know tegretol needs blood tests, etc…while abilify has a few side effects except some anxiety. I only became suspicious about its potency as a mood stabilizer. Otherwise why do pdocs recommend always one of the triads (lithium, depakote, tegretol) or lamictal lately.
Avatar m tn I am currently taking Wellbutrin for my depression. My question is can I take Abilify with Wellbutrin?
Avatar f tn t know what the new meds will cost yet. Any and all information is appreciated! (I have never treated before, geno 1a, stage 2.5 fibrosis). Also, as a side question, any information on getting treatment in Canada would be helpful. My husband has dual citizenship and I'm wondering if that might be an option for me. Thanks!
Avatar n tn umm in the usa without insurance, n im chronic.
Avatar m tn I am on 7.5 mg of abilify (morning), and 2.5mg zyprexa (night), which I've been on for a couple of weeks I'm finding the mix better than just the 7.5mg of olanzapine I have been taking previously for 6 years due to the fact I can actually get up in the morning now! I recommend these doses. I would like to know side affects of abilify..ie sex drive, sense of humour, weight loss? And can I use paracetomels with this mix? And green tea slimming pills?
Avatar f tn Only bummer about Abilify is the cost. it can be very expensive. It works for a lot of people and may work for you also. Give the Abilify a good 6 weeks to work at full effect. Keep in touch and if you need me you can always PM me.
Avatar m tn Also, any idea how much tela will cost.
Avatar f tn still looking for possible IL28B testing and any of the latest in Canada, Has anyone filed in Ontario for transfusion compensat claim, just wondering about questions and procedure of the health long term care Hep C assist program.
497950 tn?1255863927 I am bipolar I with mixed episodes. (Also with rapid cycling :) fun stuff...) Has anyone tried any medicines that didn't cause weight gain and didn't cost a fortune. I am on Abilify right now but I am very quickly going to have to change because my insurance isn't that great and it cost me $100. I am on Neurontin and Celexa right now which is great but I can still feel myself going up and down all the time.
1218873 tn?1300091216 Over here in the UK, we generally don't know what the cost of tests and drugs are, as they are covered by the NHS. But over the past 12 months I have started to learn a bit of what thing cost, and it appears that even if you go private they are considerabley cheaper than in the US which to me dosen't seem quite right.
Avatar f tn I take 24mg suboxone daily. Iam bi-polar and was prescribed pristiq and abilify, after i went on the suboxone, which i did not tell the doc i was on. I took my first dose of the meds, the abilify and pristiq, (which i had been on before) and got deathly ill, for about 6 hours, then i felt drugged until the next day. I have not tryed it again. Iam only on the suboxone, but i want to get off of it, it has changed my life for the better, in every way, except the cost.
1912569 tn?1485015929 I was diagnosed about a month ago with PTSD and a mood disorder but I'm still wondering if that mood disorder is bipolar. Specifically bp2. I've been put on Abilify 2mg. Before diagnosis and medication this is how my life has been: extreme hypersexuality, which resulted in promiscuity outside of my marriage and now divorce. I was also having lots of mood swings and got mad over stupid little things or cried uncontrollably. Sometimes very hostile and would throw things.
572651 tn?1530999357 This is interesting. I do have to say though, that $236 in India is probably worth more than $3,949 in the US. On the other hand, I'm in Italy and my recent week in the hospital didn't cost me a dime. But, anyone who doesn't want to wait months for tests that they need, etc, has to go "private" and pay out of pocket. I guess there is no perfect system in the end.
7540527 tn?1401187758 t cry all day long or have bad thoughts. I am still a long way from feeling any level of okay. Abilify was a horrible drug for me. My husband even said I was a train wreck. I go back to my psych next week and am thinking that I really don't want to waste any more time on this Rexulti experiment. Not to mention some other unpleasant side effects and the cost. I wanted to try Symbyax but my doc said there is no basis to support an antidepressant successfully treating bipolar depression.
612551 tn?1450022175 Not seeking sympathy on the cost, just venting what I consider an outrageous cost. As said our medical/prescription cost is covered by insurance with the usual deductible and once that is met, it now is with this one renewal, the major portion of the cost is paid by my insurance. I don't like high prices regardless of who/how it is paid: insurance, local or federal government, whoever/whatever.
5426152 tn?1382129604 Does anyone know the average cost of a midwife in Canada? I was already planning on a natural birth but it seems like having a midwife will help my decision.
4981292 tn?1381256805 t know how to spell it) my question is, do you pay for that to be done and if so, how much? I live in Canada. Ont. My mother thinks that it now cost money but not sure how much.
599945 tn?1240382354 abilify caused twitching, restless leg, face doing it's own thing, tremors, heartburn, inability to think of words i needed. all stopped since i stopped it and took kamedrin for a week to get rid of symptoms. am to pick up ltryptophan tomorrow! worst of all it doesn't come under free meds so have to find money i don't have to get it. am feeling so bad at the moment just trying to stay alive minute by minute that to be honest i wouldn't mind death being a side effect.
Avatar n tn I am in the middle of switching to Abilify as the Zeldox was quite sedating and I want to see if the Abilify will work better. Abilify is expensive though. About $300 for 10mg. If you get government coverage they will have to apply for a special exemption as it is not normally covered. Sorry you are having such a hard time. I think brain damage is even harder to treat than bipolar. I would also try to access mental health service programs. You mentioned DBT which is good.
