Avatar f tn Bristol-Myers Squibb has a patient assistance program for Abilify. They say to call them if you have Medicare part D. There are some discount cards out there that are free to download and print that may give you more of a discount. Tell your doctor you're having issues paying, and ask if they can give you more samples while you try to work things out.
3248163 tn?1354847640 I take Abilify and it cost about $650 a month. My insurance company would like me to try something else but since it is still in their formulary they have to cover it.
Avatar m tn I started by calling the pharmaceutical company to inquire about assistance, but they have canceled their Provigil assistance program and also told me that depression is one of the few illnesses for which they do not provide assistance anyway. I then looked into other assistance programs, but they require enrollees to be without insurance, and giving up my health insurance is just not practical.
333672 tn?1273792789 Apparently, Acorda has both a co-pay assistance program and a patient assistance program for the uninsured and underinsured. There are some details at http://brassandivory.blogspot.com/2010/02/annual-price-for-ampyra-set-at-12850.html with more info in the comments. And yes, the base price for a 30-day supply is $1,056. The way the co-pay program works is that if your co-pay is more than $40, Acorda will pay the difference so the patient's max out-of-pocket is $40.
Avatar f tn My doctor recommended cutting back on the Effexor and adding a mood stabilizer called Abilify to help bring some mood balance and joy back into my life, she said it would also help me sleep. The only problem is I have a high deductible on my insurance and the pharmacy said the Abilify was 700 bucks for a 30 days supply unit I reach my deductible of $1250. There is no way I can afford that!
574118 tn?1305135284 He substituted tegretol with Abilify as my MS. I heard well of Abilify and I happen to have come across http://www.askdrjones.com/2005/02/14/ranking-the-mood-stabilizers/ . To tell you the truth I became happy because I know tegretol needs blood tests, etc…while abilify has a few side effects except some anxiety. I only became suspicious about its potency as a mood stabilizer. Otherwise why do pdocs recommend always one of the triads (lithium, depakote, tegretol) or lamictal lately.
Avatar m tn I am currently taking Wellbutrin for my depression. My question is can I take Abilify with Wellbutrin?
Avatar m tn I am on 7.5 mg of abilify (morning), and 2.5mg zyprexa (night), which I've been on for a couple of weeks I'm finding the mix better than just the 7.5mg of olanzapine I have been taking previously for 6 years due to the fact I can actually get up in the morning now! I recommend these doses. I would like to know side affects of abilify..ie sex drive, sense of humour, weight loss? And can I use paracetomels with this mix? And green tea slimming pills?
Avatar f tn Only bummer about Abilify is the cost. it can be very expensive. It works for a lot of people and may work for you also. Give the Abilify a good 6 weeks to work at full effect. Keep in touch and if you need me you can always PM me.

It seems to me that the co-pay can be pretty nominal. I believe the first step in making a request is to contact Shared Solutions. Good luck!
Avatar m tn hello again, thanks to all the people that responded. was wondering about the cost of meds. interferon and ribavirin, im checking with my ins. to see what they will cover. i may have misspoke about this thing on hepititusccure.net i dont think it is herbal? it deals with fatty liver tissue. but its only 50 bucks to read about it so i dont really have anything to lose. going back to doc in 3 mo. not sure why till i decide on tx. if tx takes care of virus, do people go back to normal lifestyle?
Avatar m tn I just saw my doc today and he suggested i go on Abilify also. But when i went to the pharmacist he told me it would be $40 a month for the script. I can not afford that. The pharmacist told me about Effexor XR (that will be going generic July 1st). Has anyone been on this?? Has it helped?? I have also tried paxil, WellbutrinXL, and Prozac. These made me more depressed. I guess i just need some help as to what else is out there that works...
1012542 tn?1313354880 Hi everyone Chris here, new to group. I'm Bipolar II rapid cycling mixed episodes. I'm looking for some feedback on Abilify from some of you that have tried it. I hate messing around with my meds as it seem like forever trying this that and the other. Currently on Effexor XR, Depakote, and Seroquel. Still seems like not enough relief. So to add Abilify and discontinue one or leave it alone? My Phd. is not much help on this one, I think I've burned him out.
