abilify and muscle pain

I take Cymbalta and then I was also put on abilify shortly before my family and I went on vacation to Disneyworld and it was the worst time I ever had! I felt like I was going to jump out of my skin! I was so agitated and could not sleep. I would pace at night! I did get off abilify when I got back and am just on Cymbalta now and am better but I am experiencing things like headaches and heart palpitations so may be getting off Cymbalta, too.

I took abilify and began to have muscle spasms in my jaw. It felt as if all my teeth were having an extremely bad toothache. All the muscles are constantly in spasm and it has leaded to unbearable "temple" headaches. This has been going on for almost 6 years now and the pain is 24/7. I started out at the dentist because I thought it might be due to grinding or an abscess. Then to the neurologist that has given me so many meds to try with no avail.

When I was on the 2mg dose, things seemed to be ok. When I went up to 5mg, I had tremendous leg pain and muscle stiffness. When I went down to 2mg again the leg problems went away. Then my doctor decided to switch me to Seroquel. I gradually increased my dosage up to 100 mg. At that point, my leg troubles began again. Unfortunately, they never ended. I got off the Seroquel and the leg pain persisted. It's bad in the morning. My right hamstring is always stiff.

There is a connection with taking Abilify and acne .

In the Fall, the stomach pain effected my sleep and I got overtired. This led to me getting scared and confused about irrational things. I was taken to a hospital and put on a psychotropic drug called Abilify. I was on the drug for 4 months and then tapered off of it under doctors direction. I've been off of it now for almost two months.

Don't know what the doc is thinking here, and by that I mean the doc who responded to your question. For one thing, he never asked about using anti-depressants if you're truly bi-polar. Now, if this is just the oh so popular bipolar 2 or 3 or 100 that pharmaceutical companies invented, then okay, but if you're truly bipolar, you're on the wrong meds altogether.

My son has been taking paxil for a year now. He also started taking abilify 5mg and deplin 7.5mg in December. He has been experiencing muscle twitching for a month now so his doctor took him down to 2.5mg of abilify and them completly off the end of last week. He is still noticably twitching in his upper body and face. Could the deplin be causing this or does it just take a while for the ability to get out of his system. Do you think the twitching will go away?

I've been taking Abilify for about 3 years now, and it's the only med I'm on now, and it seems to be working fine. I used to be on Depakote, but I gained about 50 lbs, so my doctor took me off of it and upped my Abilify. I take 30 mg a day. I'm scared after a few years I'll develop the twitching and muscle stifftness ( tardive dyskensia ) but I've resolved not to live in fear of it. Abilify has worked for me now, so I recommend it.

I just started Pristiq and Im also on ativan and abilify............wondering if anyone else has taken these meds together.I felt great after taking the pill last night now today im kinda scared and spacey feeling...any thoughts?

d had only 4 doses when this began. Yesterday, I also began having palpitations and tachycardia, so have stopped the Abilify. My psychiatrist is sure the med isn't the reason for the coordination problem. My neuro exam in the ER yesterday was basically normal, although I didn't really touch my nose, was more between my nose and upper lip; and my legs didn't seem as strong as usual to me.

I want to take antidepressants again because hopefully that will reduce my stress and reduce my pain. Abilify worked for stress, but it still had mental side effects, such as stuttering, and not thinking or understanding clearly, social anxiety, weight gain, and I cried all the time and I only liked sad things. And Abilify made me have limited interests. What kept me on abilify, was the increased interest for the limited interests that Abilify made me had.

I do not believe the medications the medical community has place him on are worth the side-effects. They placed him on Levetiracetam, Benztropine, and Abilify, and the side-effects are NOT worth the potential benefit of what--self-control? I have worked with youth in placement for 18 years, and these medications do not make any significant difference in their judgments because they do not change their value system.

I am on 90 mg of Cymbalta and just started 15 mg of Abilify for depression. My doctor has titrated me up on the Abilify gradually. My question is for anyone who take 15 mg of Abilify for depression. I have only started the Abilify so far on day 3 … I was supposed to start together but I dropped the pristiq bottle and pills fell on floor now because of contamination ocd I can’t take them and insurance won’t pay for a refill yet so doctor says just take the Abilify for now , I’m noticing it is helping me to change my behavior versus the ssri just kinda helped me manage my existing behaviors but never had courage or motivation to change my behaviors so I’m hoping that’s where Abilify will come

Hi I have been on 5 mg of abilify and also klonopin since jan..09.Recently i have been having severe dizziness.,y ear hurt so wen to dr put me on antibotic...Abilify has helped my depression so much but im wondering f it would start causing dizziness after being on it since jan 20 09...

i was takes off the abilify and serquel because it was causing my blood sugars to go up and my cholestrol and blood pressure. plus i gained 20 pounds. but i was happy felt good now i'm back to feeling depressed and sick.

Hello, I took abilify for five years, One thing is that when you take ablilify it is added with another medication usually, and i lost all of my hair while taking it but not because of they abilify, it was from the depicote or what ever-eles i took, but after i got off the depecote, my hair grew back my hair is growing now, but if you havent took it very long you may be having other side effects like the shaking, i will say that dose go away and you get very much better..

Could my medication (Abilify) be causing me to involuntarily rock back and forth seemingly at random when I'm not leaning against things? It's very subtle but becomes really noticeable when I lean forward. What is this even called? I only noticed it started happening after I took Abilify.

I was on Abilify 5 mg and had muscle twitching so my psych. lowered the dose to 2 mg. It has really helped. 15 mg. sounds like an extremely high dose. How many mg are you on now? It does make me a little restless, but I'll take that over the voices and hallucinations anyday.
