1565420 tn?1304572548 Hello, I took abilify for five years, One thing is that when you take ablilify it is added with another medication usually, and i lost all of my hair while taking it but not because of they abilify, it was from the depicote or what ever-eles i took, but after i got off the depecote, my hair grew back my hair is growing now, but if you havent took it very long you may be having other side effects like the shaking, i will say that dose go away and you get very much better..
Avatar f tn ve started to have what seems like different kinds of heart problems several months before this (in addition to a congenital heart murmur that my PCP says I still have), and I'll get to that in the 3rd paragraph. A blood test ordered by a naturopathic doctor found that my magnesium levels were low (after blood tests from the cardiologist found other electrolyte levels normal). I was advised to take a bit of epsom salt/magnesium sulfate for it and it has been helping a lot.
Avatar f tn Have you had these symptoms checked out by your GP? Abilify does cause shaking and tremors, and just because your psychiatrist hasn't seen these side effects doesn't mean they aren't being caused by the Abilify. I doubt the Abilify is doing much to help you, it's rare to get this many years out of one medication as our bodies build up a tolerance to these types of medications.
Avatar n tn His psychiatrist should change that one. Geodon can cause heart arrythmia. Abilify is much safer. Actually the Cogentin and Inderal (a blood pressure medication) might causing the memory loss but they are used to control extra-pyramidal side effects and are necccesary for that.
790165 tn?1268836968 I got told by my new counsolor to go back to a phsyc doctor the get my meds reevaluated. I'm bipolar type II and she's thinking my 60 MGS of Cymbalta are doing nothing (I know they're not because I've had a couple thoughts of suicide that passed my mind). Well she's thinking mood stabilizers are a good idea as well. I don't know now if this post goes better in general health or here but I have heart problems.
Avatar n tn When I looked up weight gain and bipolar medications, Abilify was at the bottom of the list for weight gain, Geodon people gained the least then Abilify. I'm on 2mg. of Abilify and in the begining you tend to feel sleepy, that's why they start you on it at bedtime. I would be surprised if Abilify caused a racing heart but you definately have to tell your doc about that. I was also on Wellbutrin and had to come off because it caused to much anxiety.
Avatar f tn personal_page_id=817569 The link above takes you to the person on here who wrote about Cymbalta and Abilify helping her daughters. It is written in five parts. Thought you might be interested.

712802 tn?1274645485 I take Cymbalta and then I was also put on abilify shortly before my family and I went on vacation to Disneyworld and it was the worst time I ever had! I felt like I was going to jump out of my skin! I was so agitated and could not sleep. I would pace at night! I did get off abilify when I got back and am just on Cymbalta now and am better but I am experiencing things like headaches and heart palpitations so may be getting off Cymbalta, too.
Avatar n tn I started lamectal about 2 months ago and take abilify and trazadone as well. I have lost my hair significantly in the past 2 months. I take Lamectal twise a day 150 mg. Abilify 15 mg & 50 mg of trazadone. I also take 1mg of klonipin as needed. Could any of these be causing it - a combination? Any suggestions? Depression will never go away if I am bald. Please help. I would like to discontinue the one that is causing this.
Avatar f tn Since starting abilify I have been seeing and dreaming strange things. It is almost to a point where it almost feels real. Also with the hearing voices and hearing other stuff it causes me to jump up straight (causing severe dizziness and nausea) from being asleep and i will go out my room door and look around in a daze but nothing is there. This happened since i started the meds.
Avatar n tn I was taking this medication last August and still have the memory and concentration problems as of now. The problems have not gone away much, I would say only 50% better and it is still bad. I went to an Emory psychiatrist but they have just put me on Seroquel as of yesterday. I have stopped taking that today and while I was on it I felt very numb and could not feel emotions and I was very drowsy.
Avatar f tn s advice here and have a very hard heart to heart with your doc -- who I hope is a psychiatrist and not a primary care physician -- and make sure this psychiatrist knows how to take people off these meds very thoroughly. Good luck.
Avatar f tn Abilify worked for stress, but it still had mental side effects, such as stuttering, and not thinking or understanding clearly, social anxiety, weight gain, and I cried all the time and I only liked sad things. And Abilify made me have limited interests. What kept me on abilify, was the increased interest for the limited interests that Abilify made me had. I've always loved animation, but Abilify increased that, and I was obsessed with animation.
Avatar m tn I am on 90 mg of Cymbalta and just started 15 mg of Abilify for depression. My doctor has titrated me up on the Abilify gradually. My question is for anyone who take 15 mg of Abilify for depression. Have you experienced any side effects? When you're depressed and trying to get your medications right it just isn't fun. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
Avatar n tn t make any sense is that I am no longer taking Abilify and Im still having these problems and here all along we thought that Abilify was the one causing these allergic reactions Am I having a withdrawl from being off this drug and if so how long before I feel normal again As far as having mood swing, depression and etc well everything is great and I have had no problem with that the only problem Im having is abnormal facial movements, trouble swallowing, dry mouth, a little trouble breathing and
Avatar f tn I have only started the Abilify so far on day 3 … I was supposed to start together but I dropped the pristiq bottle and pills fell on floor now because of contamination ocd I can’t take them and insurance won’t pay for a refill yet so doctor says just take the Abilify for now , I’m noticing it is helping me to change my behavior versus the ssri just kinda helped me manage my existing behaviors but never had courage or motivation to change my behaviors so I’m hoping that’s where Abilify will come
1255530 tn?1269867619 rapid heart rate, hard to breath, stiffness is neck and back, respiratory infection it feels like coming on. As far as I read these can be serious side effects. I talked to two people at pdoc's office and they said I specifically need to talk to my pdoc. well she was sapozed to call today and didn't. I go back Thursday anyway but are these not serious side effects. p.s. anxiety is worse now also.
