I've been having the same problem plus it hasn't helped with pain from fibromyalgia. I couldn't stand it so after two weeks I went back to the cymbalta which is very expensive.
I thought the abilfy was causing me diziness but even after stopping it im still dizzy and more deprressed and having sweats on this lamictal so dr said i should go back on abilify..everyone that knows me said i seemed so much better on the abilfy...i just sit around on this ;lamictal,,,,,,,,,so im gonna try abilfy again i ws on it for 3 months,,,,,,,,,,,,,my question is does it seem to affect sexual desires?
my doctor has given to me abilify and wellbutrin, is it good for quit smoke and go school well?
i cant go school well. i cant stay in classroom. even i cant go to school. i always want to stay at home. i am out of my home, i quickly want to go back my house. also i smoke 3 packet cigarette in a day. also i have serious sleep disorder.
i explained my problems to my doctor. then he gave me wellbutrin and abilify combination. what do you think about it?
Please, Please, Please - don't give up. I went to a neurosurgeon in Peoria, IL at the Illinois Neurological Institute. I don't know where you live, but if in Illinois, or Indiana, give them a call. Make an appointment with Dr. Patrick Tracy. I did, and within 3 weeks had the surgery and was PAIN FREE !!!!! Please don't continue to go on with this horrible pain. In the meantime, Elavil (amitrypline) is effective for some people for the pain.
There should be someone covering for your doctor while they are gone (legally, they have to have someone). Send a message through mychart and their staff will receive it and get back to you or call the office and inquire. Seriously, legally, they have to have someone covering their patients at all times. Pharmacists are helpful as well. My son takes prestiq. He Has taken abilify. When he took abilify, they just started it along with the SSRI (he was on prozac at the time).
I want to take antidepressants again because hopefully that will reduce my stress and reduce my pain. Abilify worked for stress, but it still had mental side effects, such as stuttering, and not thinking or understanding clearly, social anxiety, weight gain, and I cried all the time and I only liked sad things. And Abilify made me have limited interests. What kept me on abilify, was the increased interest for the limited interests that Abilify made me had.

I am on 90 mg of Cymbalta and just started 15 mg of Abilify for depression. My doctor has titrated me up on the Abilify gradually. My question is for anyone who take 15 mg of Abilify for depression. Have you experienced any side effects? When you're depressed and trying to get your medications right it just isn't fun. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
ve seen a spine guy, an endocrinologist, a neurologist, and have had xrays and MRIs of my back. I had an EMG done of my leg muscles and that was normal. Blood work was normal. Pain killers, including Vicodin don't work. Muscle relaxants, including central nervous system relaxants don't work. Been on Requip and that didn't help. I've been told it's not MS, NMS, Fibromyalgia, or Tardive Disconesia.

When I looked up weight gain and bipolar medications, Abilify was at the bottom of the list for weight gain, Geodon people gained the least then Abilify. I'm on 2mg. of Abilify and in the begining you tend to feel sleepy, that's why they start you on it at bedtime. I would be surprised if Abilify caused a racing heart but you definately have to tell your doc about that. I was also on Wellbutrin and had to come off because it caused to much anxiety.

I've got anxiety. I don't have a job. I need things to do, and I get anxiety without stuff to do. I'm 35 male. I've been on Abilify before about 6 times. I stopped on my own the same amount of times. All I've got is anxiety. I don't have psychiatric issues. Prior issues were due to an unstructured lifestyle (as i've painfully deduced over the years).
Not necessarily, no. The better way according to my research is to successfully withdraw from a drug before starting a new one. Most psychiatrists have their own way of doing it, and so you have to accept that they have had success doing it that way. But I believe in erring on the side of safety, and that means tapering off a drug at a pace that suits you, not one that suits the psychiatrist. Everyone is going to have their own experience and stopping and starting meds should reflect that.
My son has been taking paxil for a year now. He also started taking abilify 5mg and deplin 7.5mg in December. He has been experiencing muscle twitching for a month now so his doctor took him down to 2.5mg of abilify and them completly off the end of last week. He is still noticably twitching in his upper body and face. Could the deplin be causing this or does it just take a while for the ability to get out of his system. Do you think the twitching will go away?
Than a couple days later I went to the doctor because I felt extremely dizzy, hot, and a sore throat. I told him about my back pain. Checked for urinalysis. Came back negative along with a pregnancy test. Should have asked him if he could just do blood work. I think it is too soon yet for urine.
I still have a cold like symptoms, but my stomach feels like it is tightening & their is a throbbing around the belly button area. I also have lower back pain & pain around the hips.
Are you saying you were put on Abilify before you were put on Celexa? Because if you've only been on Celexa a few days, Abilify wouldn't be appropriate. It's only a last resort medication because of its side effect profile and because it isn't known to work by itself, only in combination with another med. If, for example, you have depression, and you're on medication and its helping but not quite enough and you've tried everything else, that's what Abilify is for.
