What you experience may be quite different from what everyone has posted. You might take Abilify and find that you have no side effects and it helps you and you will continue to take it. Dont know much about the luvox, but I used to be on 300 mg welbutrin, 50 mg adderall and 10 mg abilify. Abilify was actually pretty helpful for me and didn't really affect the adderall or anything. But my doctors suggested to take the abilify at night before you go to bed. Hope that helps a little.

Once I reached the therapeutic dose of Lamictal, I stopped Abilify and immediately experienced rapid fluctuations between depression and mania and my therapist told me to go back on Abilify at a reduced 2.5 mg. In addition, since beginning Lamictal + Abilify I have consistently gained 40 pounds.... 10 of which were gained within the 2 weeks I restarted Abilify at 2.5 mg. As someone who has a history of body dysmorphia and eating disorders, I NEED a different treatment.

My pdoc is adding Abilify at bedtime, and I am quite apprehensive about this combination. Can anyone shed any light on this or have any experience with it? I want to get well! Thank you, and may you all be well.

I am was taking 30mg of adderall twice a day with 300mg of wellbutrin this seemed to be a good combo for my depression and add. I have recently been put on librium and propanolol for anxiety, thats all good. What I Am really.worried about is the 10mg of abilify they put.me on to help other anti depressant work. They also put me on luvox for OCD. i have heard good and bad things about these combos with adderall. I dont want them to counteract the drug. So any thoughts would be great. Thanks.

Adderall and Ritalin will make moods worse without a Mood Stabiliser - they can cause mania in Bipolars (along with a slew of side effects including death in some cases..

He was diagnosed with bipolar and then also with ADHD he takes risperdal for bipolar and adderall for adhd. The adderall has been wonderful it really helped a lot the risperdal i am not so sure as he still gets very angry and aggressive he has also been recently diagnosed with social anxiety disorder.

I mix seroquel and abilify without issued only the Abilify has finally gotten my appetite under control and im losing weight Seroquel causes weight gain but nothing like the weight gain with Zyprexa.

She had been on Adderall for ADHD, went into a hypermanic event and was involuntarily committed for treatment. After her release she went back to her original Psychiatrist who again prescribed Adderall for her. Is Adderall ever used for bipoplar disorder. Everything I have read says no. It started off that he said i had adhd so he put me on adderall wich help with my energy leval and it keeps me on task at work. Abilify, Geodon, and Invega are atypical antipsychotic medication. They are not typically helpful for ADHD. Medications like Adderall can worsen paranoia and delusions. Perhaps a non-stimulant medication like Straterra would be of benefit.

Hi! I was diagnosed with ADD recently and I'm waiting to get back in to see my psychiatrist. My last office visit we spoke about the possible medications I could choose from if I completed ADD testing with another Psych. He mentioned Strattera (but he said he didn't feel that it worked), Adderall, and Ritalin. I'm currently on abilify and wellbutrin for depression and these meds, along with adderall and ritalin lower the seizure threshold.

Taken several SSRIs in the past for anxiety. Adderall XR for ADD, Wellbutrin too. I have been seeing a therapist for about 4 months and he had me go for a psychiatry evaluation a few days ago. I want to give you a chance to explain why you're so upset. and if there's anything we can do for you. However, I want you to understand that we are trying to be supportive here. But I hope you're aware you are on the bipolar forum. The people who come here have bipolar disorder or a friend or family member that has bipolar disorder and they're looking for help.

I am on 90 mg of Cymbalta and just started 15 mg of Abilify for depression. My doctor has titrated me up on the Abilify gradually. My question is for anyone who take 15 mg of Abilify for depression. Have you experienced any side effects? When you're depressed and trying to get your medications right it just isn't fun. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Have you spoken to the doc about a mood stabelizer? That's what I'm on and the Adderral. It did help calm things down a lot and I had the same luck on the other meds you mentioned as you did. Effexor was the worst! Wellbutrin didn't do anything and Lexapro didn't work either. I take Abilify now and that helps quite a bit.

I have only started the Abilify so far on day 3 … I was supposed to start together but I dropped the pristiq bottle and pills fell on floor now because of contamination ocd I can’t take them and insurance won’t pay for a refill yet so doctor says just take the Abilify for now , I’m noticing it is helping me to change my behavior versus the ssri just kinda helped me manage my existing behaviors but never had courage or motivation to change my behaviors so I’m hoping that’s where Abilify will come
