Avatar n tn I have eliminated any kinds of ab workouts, I do a quick simple arm and leg routine and then do 2o min on my elliptical. Some days I am all full of energy and have to remind myself that I set a time limit for a reason. Other days, I don't feel like doing anything! My lil workout is how I end the day. The kids are in bed, so is my so. I clean then I take my workout as some me time. Then shower and bed. Lol, it is almost 1am and I am still trying to convince myself to just do it.
Avatar f tn ll need to avoid is too much ab workouts, like push ups, weight lifting; and as you get bigger, listen to your body and stop when you need to. No need to push yourself.
4331946 tn?1355816857 obviously all your muscles are connected one way or another. however try to use as little of your core as possible. no hardcore ab workouts. my mom kept up with me nd my older bro with our workouts all throughout her pregnancy and now she has muscle separation in her abdominal muscles. like a literal separation between the two sides of her abs. nd after giving birth, she couldn't work her abs for over six months until her muscles heal.
Avatar n tn Hello all, I have noticed recently, during my weightlifting routines at the gym, that I will occasionally get a fluttering sensation in my heart that lasts about 10 to 15 seconds and occurs randomly while lifting weights or doing abdominal exercises, but oddly enough never during cardio workouts such as running or swimming (chance?). These "flutters" are quite worrisome, as I feel as if my heart may not recover it's consistent beat sometimes.
Avatar n tn What do you ladies do for workouts while pregnant? Any schedules or specifics you follow? Any good advice? Im really trying to keep my body in shape.
Avatar f tn I want to lose belly fat mostly so I tried ab workouts they didn't help.
Avatar n tn I want to workout my abs and thighs. Any workouts that you have in mind to help me workout?
Avatar f tn ) anyway i want to get rid of my flabby stomach and i tried i bunch of ab workouts but i could never follow through. Is there any steps to make this easier i try every week and...nothing Plezz help, thank u.
Avatar n tn Some suggestions are on the exercise ball or plank holds because it strengthenes your core. But you have to keep it mild, no straining. Anytime you feel strained, stop. Those ab ligaments are easy to pull while you have the relaxin hormones and closer to the end you definitely want to lay off the ab workouts. On the plus side, you can start again right after a natural birth, but not a c section.
10028419 tn?1416841704 Take longer rest in between sets. Stay away from ab workouts, dont let anything hit your stomach, be careful of lunges ,you can lose ur balance. Squats put too much pressure on ur stomach, try to do other leg workouts, such as leg press ,hamstring curls etc. When you do cardio try to keep ur heart rate below 142.
559862 tn?1311516637 I do Denise Austin's pregnancy exercise dvd and it has aerobics and stregth training for each trimester...I'm not sure of the specific regulations BUT in the third trimester video she says to switch to like 2lb weights...I've been using 5lb weights and feel fine/haven't had any complications.
7998970 tn?1435183202 Walking, exercise ball, little weights, etc are okay, especially if you were pretty active before pregnancy. No hardcore workouts though. time to gain weight lol.
Avatar f tn I've had the same problem my whole first trimester. I'm almost in my second as well so I hope to start working out again soon. In the meantime I go to the pool when I can and do some swimming and stuff.
Avatar f tn Lightened my weights, stopped jumping and am moving my an workouts to just core stuff with body weight. Definitely not pushing myself hard like I uses to. I suggest Keeping your exercise moderate.
Avatar f tn Same situation as you! Don't listen to all this dieting crap. There are se fab ab workouts on YouTube or just make up some of your own! Cut out lots of sugar but don't deprive youself! On demand also has some workouts you'll love.
Avatar f tn no need to be angry. they are right. AB workouts are pointless if you are trying to tone your stomach, which by doing sit ups or crunches that's obviously what you're trying to do. there's no point in toning your stomach when pregnant. not only do you risk further separation of your abdominal muscles when further along, but your belly is going to grow and weaken your muscles regardless of what you do.
Avatar f tn I use to do crossfit but my doctor told me absolutely not while pregnant. Does anyone do any work outs with a small amount of weights.
Avatar f tn Stretching is fine also there is some yoga you can try...if you use any weights keep it minimal and think more cardiovascular....try light treadmill ....sitting toe touch....also great one is sit in an invisible chair against the wall....so squat place back on wall and keep knees 90 degrees ...
Avatar f tn I do toning and strength training with light or no weights (lunges and squats are my favorite). My husband is a personal trainer, so I had to just accept slower workouts and just focus on retaining muscle memory. It's better to be a little conservative for the benefit of your baby.
Avatar f tn Btw my ob actually encouraged exercise :)
Avatar n tn Here is my situation, I am an avid Mountain Biker who lifts weights regularly and does a cardio daily and Abs on the ab roller 600 on a regular schedule I do all these workouts on a very high level and I can't increase it. Why do I have a pregnant looking belly? I cant get rid of it. I am 29 yrs old. I dont have fat other than that I am very lean. I am not exaggerating either I look 3-4 months pregnant unless I dont eat.
Avatar m tn Before doing any exercises you need to warm your muscles by doing the routines with light weights then you can increase the weights. After doing weights then do cardio! Doing cardio first will make you exhausted and you won't have the strength to do weights. when you are finished you should use a foam roller to stretch your muscles. You need to be eating right, you're going to notice a decrease in lean muscle mass and an increase in body fat.
Avatar f tn I never stop all together. There's always some kind of exercise you can do. I run, lift weights, and kickbox. All modified for my expanding tummy of course. And I get our of breath much faster, but I love my workouts! I'll start swimming soon, when my hips and back say no more running!
